I had a 10 hour layover and needed a place to sleep and shower. A colleague recommended the Regal as I could walk there from the terminal thus making it the most convenient option. The check-in staff were efficient and friendly. The reception area was large and spacious; At 1.30am the best description would be shiny (I was so tired).

I was on the 8th floor and as I walked from the elevators to the room, I felt uncomfortable. There was a light flickering in the hallway, the walls looked to be falling apart in some places with full on panels that were not installed properly. A sign on one of the doors said do no enter due to construction work and it was apparent the floor was under renovation so I’m not certain why I was put on that floor.

The room itself was fine. Clean. It had an 80/90’s vibe. There were absolutely no usb outlets anywhere which in this day and age is odd but totally tracks for the style of room. The blue solution in the toilet was off putting.

I did not sleep well because I was a little worried about missing my flight but also because I was worried there might be some type of construction noise or mishap (there wasn’t). I really did appreciate being able to have a shower in the morning tho. That was the highlight.

So all in all, it gets the job done.
Convenience is great and the staff were great. I would want to be on a floor that wasn’t under construction and I’d recommend charging up devices elsewhere.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing Regal Airport Hotel and taking your precious time to share your experience with us. We are delighted to know that our prime location provided you great convenience, clean and spacious rooms and that the service of our staff has lived up to your expectations. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by flickering lights and improper installation of some panels in the corridors. We also noticed some outdated rooms with no USB outlets. Please note that most of our guest rooms are equipped with USB outlets following renovations, but some are still planning for renovations and upgrades. We have forwarded your comments to the relevant departments. Your opinion will be one of our most important considerations. Rest assured that we will improve the areas you highlighted as we go. We look forward to another opportunity to welcoming you back to Regal Airport Hotel soon. With warm regards from the Asia's Most Exciting City! Yours sincerely John A Girard General Manager

I stayed at the Regal Airport hotel pre-pandemic a couple of times and always thought of it as unbeatable in convenient location but with old tired rooms. I recently stayed at the Regal Airport Hotel again for one night because I had an early flight the next morning and completely blown away by the renovated room I was given. The new look is very modern and fresh and functional. The room is a good size, enough for a Queen bed and a separate seating area with a sofa and coffee table. The slight criticism I have is that the bathroom still has the old fashion bathtub combo shower with the plastic half wall that never does a good job of keeping water from splattering out on the floor when showering.

I asked reception on check out and was told that the rooms are being renovated floor by floor so it would be a good idea to ask for a room on a renovated floor for a much more comfortable stay. I had booked a superior room, am a Regal member but really without much of a stay history, and was upgraded to a deluxe room, which is slightly larger and on a higher floor.

The hotel has a large gym with a lot of weight training and cardio equipment but a lot of it is pretty dated and could use a refresh. There is also a small sauna and steam room in the men's changing room but they were still closed in March 2023 during my stay.

The hotel cannot be beat for convenience for an early morning flight. From the point at which the hotel lobby level joins the corridor leading to the arrivals hall, it took me only 2 minutes to walk to the arrivals hall and then front there, it was just an escalator or elevator ride up to the departures level for check in.

In a renovated room, a pre-flight stay at the Regal Airport Hotel is a very comfortable and sensible option for an early flight. Booked on a cancellable member's rate, it was just a bit over HK$1,200 a night including tax and service.

Had to do quarantine and no other choices for the dates I needed, also had to book the deluxe room as other rooms also booked out.

I would like to say I have had a pleasant stay during the time I was there and the food delivery and extra room service was done quite well. Check out was a little bit of a hassle due to the way things are setup, but not bad.

Room was quite clean and bathroom amenities were sufficient for a 7 night stay

Toilet flushing could have used a new pump as it wasn't the most powerful.

Wished they also supplied you with tea and coffee pods and bags daily with proper milk and creamer not just the first day and with creamer only.

Felt that for the price room was good but at the same time overpriced for the location, feels like the prices where jacked up for the quarantine period.

Word of advise, get the staff to repeat the order and room number as none Cantonese speakers will get their orders wrong one way or another. I speak Cantonese and English, when I ordered in English the orders went to the wrong room or some parts of the order was wrong. Never wrong when ordering in Cantonese.

Quite a disappointed experiences in modern city with such an old fashioned airport. The decoration is outdated with a mold smell, luckily it blow away after turn on the AC for a pretty while. The wall socket is out of order in my room. The sofa within the room have some bug like and making me feeling itchy.

Bedroom is pretty old fashion without any shower curtain or door, so the whole floor getting wet and slippery easily. Another interesting thing is they do provide the toothbrush, but the toothpaste is pill like which need times to get rid of it. A bit wired feeling.

Overall the staffs are helpful, just when I try to ask the usage of the pills, they can't answer me as well.

The hotel is conveniences but with the premium price that I paid for that, it is not fulfill the standard. Room for improvement.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your reviews following your recent visit. We are very sorry to hear that you did not have a pleasant stay at our hotel, and you were dissatisfied with the room decoration, shower facilities and the cleanliness of the accommodation. We are truly shocked to learn that you experienced some issues with bed bugs like, as we follow strict pest control procedures and have our rooms regularly inspected by a professional pest contractor and this have never happened before. To comply with the government’s requirement not to provide plastic in-room amenities, we have recently switched from traditional toothpaste to pill toothpaste for guests, which is new to many people including some of our staff. We are glad to hear that you were satisfied with our hotel's convenient location and service experience, but room rates may vary depending on room availability, especially if there are exhibitions or special events in the airport area. The usual room prices are very moderate compared to nearby hotels. We again express our sincere apologies. Hope you can give us the opportunity to welcome you again and provide you with a more satisfactory experience next time. With warm regards from the Asia's Most Exciting City! Con:
The interior design is poor and shows signs of aging. The power outlet plates near the bedhead are loose; the main light switch is oddly located near the bed instead of at the door entry; the bedhead light switches are not working properly; and the toilet flush water is filthy. I am not impressed by the numerous issues that tarnish the reputation of the Regal Airport Hotel, which serves as an entry gateway to an international city like Hong Kong.
The room steward knocked on my door at 8:00 AM and asked to clean my room while my wife and I had just woken up, even though we were not checking that day.

Pro:
I requested a power adaptor for HK plug from the front desk and it was immediately delivered to our room.
Also, the concierge manager at the ground floor entrance patiently explained how we could travel to and return from Hong Kong Island and ultimately called a taxi for us.

A long line at reception late at night when I and (many) others arrived, but the reception desk handled it very well. I had an 11th floor room, which was very comfortable and quiet. After about 16 hours flying, it was wonderful to soak in a large bathtub before going to sleep on a very comfortable bed. The ground floor read did not have my room number when I first went down for a well prepared breakfast, but, again, this was remedied quickly. All in all, an excellent stay. My first time back in HK-China since 2019.

We stayed here twice in October, with mixed results and disappointments each time. It's obviously convenient to Terminal 1, but it's overpriced and showing its age, poor maintenance and lack of management focus. The expensive buffet breakfast, for example, was much less impressive than 3-star hotels in mainland China, which was very surprising. The cappuccino was cold, ham and sausages cold, eggs cold, bread stale, croissants stale, steamed buns lukewarm, and no chefs around to do much for you. They paid more attention to clearing tables than keeping the food hot. More shockingly, the first room they gave us was partially flooded by an obvious sewage leak in the hallway, actively being worked on by noisy workmen right outside the door. The second room was okay, but no heat was available in the HVAC controls so we were too cold all night. All the bathroom faucet handles were loose and the phones didn't seem to work so we needed to take the elevator down to the front desk to talk to them each time. Not really the 5-star experience they advertise! We would say 3 stars or less. For these prices we will definitely look elsewhere next time.

The Regal Hotel at Hong Kong Airport is an excellent option if you are only having a one-night stopover in Hong Kong. The rooms are spacious and clean and the service is quite good. The best thing is that you can get there by walking from the airport itself, it is not necessary to take any transportation.
However, if you are going to stay several days in Hong Kong, it is not the best option, since the airport and hotel are quite far from the city and it is a trip of about 40 minutes to get there.

This is my first time visiting Hong Kong, so I choose this hotel for my short stay, this hotel is near the airport , so it is so convenience to check in and having a quick rest.

But I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thanks the Concierge staff Jess for making my stay in Hong Kong so memorable, since she having an excellent recommendations for local dining spots and sightseeing highlights truly enriched my experience

Also Jess was having a thoughtful gesture of ensuring my luggage was sent directly to my room saved me time and hassle, allowing me to start my adventure right away. It’s clear how much care and passion her put into helping guests feel welcome.

Thank you again for going above and beyond to create such a seamless and delightful stay. I’ll cherish the memories and look forward to returning one day. Thanks Jess !

The hotel offers “day use” rooms for 10 hours between 9am and 9pm. It is a two minute walk from Arrivals Hall A by an enclosed walkway. The rooms need refurbishing, but they are clean and comfortable. In March 2024 rooms were HKD 850 or HKD 1,250 with a buffet lunch for two. My advice is not to take the buffet - it really isn’t very appetising - just walk back into the terminal to eat, it will help you kill time.

Yes, you can book one night hotel with 0130 am check in time. You can note your arrival time (0130 am) on your reservation or email the hotel reservation staff after you make the reservation. The staff is very responsive on email communication. The hotel has Day Use (10 hour stay 0900 to 2100) reservation type for your future reference.

We stayed at the Regal HK Airport twice with 7 am arrival. We were lucky the first time and got a room at 9.30 am. The second time we had to wait for check outs due to a Golf competition so the hotel was fairly booked. Our room was ready around 11 am. If during your stay, there are events and hotel is booked up, an early check in may not be feasible. Please check with the front desk in advance so you can decide if you want to pay extra for early check in.

You will have to check with your consulate for visa requirements. Even though the hotel is attached to the airport it is outside the customs area.
