Detailed Reviews
Wanted to stay at Mongkok and somewhere with elevator. You can avoid lugging your suitcase up the staircase by exiting from MTR to Langham and come out from H&M. Clean and good view of Langham hotel garden?. Have to put both our suitcases along the short walkway upon entering the room, but still a decent size for space-constrained HK. Room comes with working wifi, safe box, fridge, strong aircon and shower. Best of all, they provided a mobile phone with unlimited network usage which was a pleasant surprise. We didn't have to buy SIM card, just tap on the phone for our own use. Definitely recommend this place if you want to stay in busy Mongkok. Loads of shopping and food at your doorstep.

Good morning coolhead08, Thank you for supporting H1 HOTEL for your night and taking time to share your experience here. We are very pleased to receive your appreciation and satisfaction regarding the facilities well equipped in our hotel. As stated by your comment, we thought the views that you saw are Langham Hotel and the mall of the Langham Place. It would be wonderful when you see them in the night time. Recently, our hotel provides free phone cell called Handy to guest. You could enjoy the unlimited local and international locals, unlimited 3G internet as well as Wifi-hotspot for free. We hope this newly facility that can satisfy people who didn't buy the SIM card for Hong Kong. Please accept my sincere gratitude for your support, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back to our hotel soon with better service. Thank you so much for staying at H1 Hotel. Saw this hotel the previous time I came to Hong Kong. For this trip, I decided to try it out. We booked a triple room and it was really quite spacious. The room was clean and since we were on a high floor, we even had a pool view (Langham's swimming pool) from our window!
I love it's proximity to the MTR, shopping and lots of food. It is just 1 street away from the Langham so we go past it daily. It is also within walking distance to Olympian. So we could even walk to Tim Ho Wan for dim sum!
Behind the hotel, there's a local wet market where the locals really shop for food, fresh produce and even daily household stuff.
The customer service staff were only able to speak Cantonese and Mandarin. They were not really able to converse in English. Furthermore, they seem to be very unfamiliar with this area and tourism in general, so were not able to offer much help.
Oh yes, and the air conditioning was too strong. The weather was quite cool when we visited, but starts to get a bit stuffy. But the air conditioning was too strong even if we switched it to the lowest. The air conditioning may be more suitable for summer.

Good morning jacsoon, Thank you for supporting H1 HOTEL for your night and taking time to share your experience here. We are very pleased to receive your appreciation and satisfaction regarding the convenience location of our hotel. It was great for you to get them as convenient as you can. As for customer service, we have already transferred this comment to Front Office. We consider if it is necessary to have a training to strength the language when serving foreigners. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We hope we can provide you better service next time. Regarding the problem of air-conditioning, not only it needs to switch to the lowest, but the temperature degree is turned to 25 degree or above as well. What's more, hotel provides extra comforter to guest if they need. However, we regret not to solve your problem instantly and we also hope guest can raise problems once they encounter right now so that we can reduce all the inconvenience caused by hotel and dissatisfaction from guest. Hotel are willing to solve all the problems in order to provide the comfortable ambiance to our beloved guests. Please accept my sincere gratitude for your support, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back to our hotel soon with better service. Thank you so much for staying at H1 Hotel. Stayed here for two weeks and preferred to stay in a convenient location for sightseeing. A friend helped me book this hotel two days before arrival. It is a bit hard to find and you begin to get anxious when you see the surrounding area -- it's not bad, it's just not the most appealing. Anyway, once you find the hotel, the reception area looks really nice. It's very clean, well lit, and quite modern. They follow a very strict 3PM check in policy but you can leave your luggage with them. Even though we were 3 people, we only got two room keys. It's hotel policy they said. We also got a coupon to get a free gift set from the pharmacy right next door. Each bag had a pack of Tempo tissue, a small tub of ointment, and some Chinese medicinal packs. If you haven't traveled to Hon Kong before, you should note that everyone carries packets of tissue. Many restaurants do not provide napkins so you need to bring your own. You also clean your own eating utensils (chopsticks, forks, knives, plates, bowls, etc), so you need tissues to wipe them. Use your tissue wisely, or you'll have to buy your own 12 pack! Once we get to our room, it was surprisingly spacious. Everything in Hong Kong is compact, but the family room has a lot of space. There is one single bed and one double bed which fits 3 people. There's a good size wardrobe, a mini fridge, safe, and a desk. The bathroom is also spacious. We were on the 9th floor so there wasn't too much noise but we were right off the elevator so we heard all the door slam, people's walking in and out, and people talking. The air conditioning is loud. A few nights, I couldn't really fall asleep because of the noise. A few nights, there's cigarette smell that seems to be circulated into the room. It made it difficult to breathe, let alone sleep.
Perhaps it's a cultural difference, but whenever we ask concierge something, they always ask us when we will check out. I asked for an extra towel one morning and he asked me when I will check out and said cleaning will replace towels later on today. I said, "but I need it now" and that's when he goes, "oh, we will have someone bring one up now." Strange.
Other than those little quirks, the staff are quite nice and helpful. The receptionist gets up when you come in or leave the hotel. We began to notice that a few days into it. There's a lot of mainland Chinese guests where they have a lot of luggage stocked up on purchases and many of then just come in to inquire about rooms on the spot. If you stay at the reception area long enough, you will also see a lot of these guests arranging their last minute purchases and their luggages right at the reception area. Quite a spectacle.
The hotel is about two blocks away from the closest Mong Kok MTR train exit C3 which makes me very convenient. You're only 3 stations away from Tsim Sha Tsui, and 4 stations away from Central. If you don't want to spend a lot of time traveling, this is the place. I visited a friend in Kwai Fong, and even the mini bus gets to Mong Kok and only a block away from the hotel in less than 30 minutes. There are also buses everywhere, you just need to know that you're taking the right one.
I would recommend this hotel if you want a no fuss but comfortable hotel in a centralized location.

On 16 August 2016, I planned a holiday to Hong Kong in October and booked 5-night accommodation in H1 Hotel @Mong Kok.
The trip was cancelled. Hence, I cancelled my hotel booking with H1 Hotel on 19 August 2016. However, a 50% hotel charges was being deducted for my cancellation.
The hotel policy stated that ‘If cancelled or modified up to 7 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of the total price of the reservation will be charged’. However, my cancellation was 2 months in advance (i.e. it was less than a week, just about 3 days). It was ridiculous that the hotel proceed to charge a 50% of price for the cancellation and ignored my request to waive the unreasonable penalty.
Just share this incident with all, so as you would not fall in this trap of H1 Hotel. It is an unpleasant experience with H1 Hotel.

My sisters stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it's location. It's very near the Mongkok MTR, just a few minutes walking distance. The hotel is small and simple but very satisfying.
The room we got was big for us, we were 3 that time. The towels are very soft and they change it everyday. The beds are comfortable and airconditioning unit is superb, although we do not need it because the temperature when we were in HK was from 14-16C. Hot water is readily available in the shower and the CR is very clean.
I just wish they have more English channels in the television.
Highly recommended because of the location, we love Mongkok. It is near The Langham Place which is a very big mall. Near 7-11 and markets. There is a fruit market nearby. It's also quite near the Olympic Mall but around 10 minutes walking distance.
The housekeeping lady is always smiling, and one of the receptionists is nice. Took care of our concern regarding their wifi right away.

Planning our second trip to Hong Kong after 6 years we wanted to stay in Kawloon (like before) but in a different hotel! We chanced upon this new place - just 3 yrs old! While hiring a taxi from the airport, not many seemed to know about this place. Apprehension crept in and part regret - maybe we should have booked into our previous popular hotel where we were rather satisfied. Our first impression - tiny lobby and luggages piled in the corner. Front desk was helpful and promptly handed us a mobile phone, free to use during our stay. From then on there was no turning back. Room on the 15th floor. Huge - for Hong Kong standard! Coffee machine, locker, flatscreen tv in the centre of the room, fridge, well stacked bathroom - overall clean and spacious. What made this place even better - location! Close to eateries, shopping - brands & street, MTR, pharmacy, fruit stalls. At the end of the stay - no regrets at all!

A roughly 240HK $ taxi journey gets you to this hotel.
Check in was efficient and quick. The hotel also offers a free mobile phone for your visit. This gives you maps, internet access as well as free local calls. It also allowed free calls to some foreign countries but not the UK or Australia. The hotel takes a 500 HK $ cash deposit.
The room was clean and comfortable. We were on the 14th floor. Elevators were always available so no queues for the lift. There was a kettle and both green and black tea provided no milk. They also provided complimentary bathroom supplies. There was a fridge for drinks.
On the last day we had a late flight and they looked after our bags for us.
The location of the hotel is a real winner. It is a 2 minute walk to the metro that gives you cheap and easily access to all the sights. It was a 5 minute lazy stroll to the Ladies market and 10mins to the goldfish and flower market. The temple street night market was about 30 minutes stroll. 10 minutes stroll takes you to the local Wellcome supermarket for drinks etc.
As you walk to the metro on Argle road you pass 2 cooked meats stalls. The one nearest the hotel offers rice and bbq pork with sticky sauce to take away for 21 HK $ it was fab.
I highly recommend this hotel especially the location. We didn't know whether to stay on Hong Kong island or Kowloon. We are so glad we picked this area.
It is a busy area still active at midnight and we felt perfectly safe wandering around. Having said that there was no noise in our room and the air conditioning was good.
When we go back to Hong Kong we wouldn't hesitate to return to the H1 hotel.

I have tried quite a lot of boutique hotels in Hong Kong and I must say, this was by far my favorite.
- The room was large, with 2 queen size beds and a large shower that had all the usual hotel amenities and large towels.
- The location was superb; it was a few meters aways from Langham Place in Mongkok and it was near the MTR station and bus stop to the airport.
- The staff was increndibly nice and polite. There was a little language barrier but they still tried their best to help you and accommodate you.
- During your stay you can borrow one of their Handy phones that has internet and can cal locally so you dont have to buy an HK sim card or use your network's expensive roaming mobile data.
I have already booked my next stay with them and I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

I stayed one night based on the location and trip advisor reviews, but it was very poor value compared to other Hong Kong hotels I have stayed in. The room was small and the décor very dated. They wanted a HKD500 cash deposit and only reluctantly accepted my deposit by credit card.
