Our family chose this hotel as there are limited Muji hotels in the world. We opted for the biggest room - type F, and it did not disappoint. The room was all things Muji. Love the simplistic, minimalist look and feel, complete with Muji products for our use. The hotel is located just 3mins walk from Qianmen Pedestrian Street which made shopping and food options easy.

Spent one night at the Beijing Muji hotel. Location, right by Tiananmen Square and old Beijing Street. Great for visitors to Beijing. Room: Great rooms and well appointed. Lobby is a bit hectic, as it has a store and market so can be a bit overwhelming. Don’t think there’s a gym but there is a utility room if you want to do laundry. The restaurant on the 4th floor is pretty good too with lots of options.

Having stayed at Muji Shenzhen and Ginza already, I had certain expectations when I could finally try Muji Beijing. My friend and I arrived before check-in time so we stored our baggage there and came back after a day of sightseeing. Perhaps due to energy saving (?), when we were back at night the whole reception and lobby were dark. We could hardly find a way to get into the hotel (by then we had not got the room key yet). We seemed to have woken up the staff and someone showed us where to open the door. On the plus side, we got a room upgrade (because our original room was taken by someone who checked in earlier). The room was standard Muji, and as some other reviewers have pointed out, it showed signs of worn and torn. Those were not particularly serious; maybe because that was a more expensive type of room not as frequently booked?! Anyway the stay was good. Value for money wise, Beijing one was cheaper than Shenzhen for the same thing but Ginza has the best service and quality (but the most expensive). One really good thing about Muji Beijing is that it is located at a strategic point, close to many tourist attractions and also the metro. It also has the views of Tiananmen Square and the area nearby.

An ambitious hotel that’s ruined by unacceptable room conditions. The hotel has only been open for a few months but the condition of the room has heavily deteriorated.
I would only recommending staying here if you need a place for a night’s sleep and would like to check out a Muji concept hotel.
Pros:
- Great concept hotel, packed with muji aesthetics and products
- Free mini bar including some muji snacks/drinks
- Common area available to do laundry
- Cool vending machine with muji products
- Staff eager to please, good service
Cons:
- Room condition is truly awful
- Walls are ridiculously thin so expect noise as long as you have neighbors
- (Fruit) flies all over bathroom
- Cracks and stains on walls

Location is excellent and hardwares are good
Level of tidiness is fair
Poor management and not well-trained staff
1) For plastic cup I saw on the sink, staff insisted that this is the style of cup, not crack. Obviously it is a crack.
2) For additional bottle water, some staff said “free “while some said “charge”. Customers don’t mind to pay for the additional water but need a standard and clear instruction
3) For restaurant, several dirty coffee cups were found and reported to the bar cleaning staff. Awful.
4) Type C room is with extremely noise between 6:00am to 24:00 as the direction is toward the main road
5) Collect my visa twice a day (12:30/ 15:00) when I checked-in
6) Promise to put my luggage to room at 12:30 and denied at 15:00. No internal communication.

Our one night stay at Muji was the highlight of our Beijing trip! The bedroom is so classy, in one long strip with subdued lighting, the bed so comfortable with fresh clean sheets and 2 different types of pillows. All the fixtures were eye-pleasing, easy to use, sleek and beautiful. The sink was long and gorgeous, the aromatic diffuser perfumed the whole room, the toilet and bidet pure luxury with so many wash choices. Towels were thick and fluffy, the slippers sturdy and the shower delightful. Toiletries were another brand, not Muji, but OK. Enjoyed using the well-designed kettle and the sofa so comfortable though it didn't look so smooth and thick.
The breakfast at Muji Diner overlooking Tiananmen Square offered choice of Japanese and East Asian, both very tasty and there was a semi-buffet for salad, fruit, bread and yogurt.
Even more wonderful was the Muji store in the basement and having tasted the complimentary snacks in the room, we bought more at the store, they were so fresh and crisp. They also accept international credit cards unlike most Chinese establishments which take only Chinese credit cards.
The hotel is also in a building with a mall that has high end restaurants but also a couple of more modest cafes which offer good local food like rice sets and la mian.
Give yourself a treat and stay at Muji for a very special experience!

Having wanted to stay in this hotel for a while and finally got the opportunity, it has been a lovely experience! Located in an amazing shopping mall/area called “BeijingFun” with loads of nice F & B outlets and most importantly, a 24-hr Page One Book Store.
Hotel is as Muji as it can be and it’s sure a “dreams come true” for any Muji fan.
Can’t wait to go back!

Muji hotel in Beijing has just opened in June 2018. It is located steps away from Qian Men street, which is a famous pedestrian street for shopping and dining. Tiananmen Square is just few hundred meters away. It offers decent size room with reasonable price, but we were disappointed by the bathroom cleanliness. Simple yet delicious breakfast with great view.

I remember getting the same errors during booking, called the hotel and they mentioned only Internet Explorer will work due to their local payment processor.
