The hotel is situated in the middle of the forest, we stayed in keekrook lodge three nights, there is plenty of choice in the buffet service. It's beautiful place to stay, spa and swimming pool facilities are also available
Our stay for 2 days was amazing The restaurant staff the people at the reception everyone was so courteous Loved it Everyone is so helpful going way beyond their call of duty Judy in the restaurant stands out
Loved our stay at Keekorok Lodge! Beautifully built in the heart of Masai Mara Reserve with a serene ambience. The staff from the reception to the servers to house cleaning are very friendly and always smiling. I suggest booking their massage session too on your last day to wrap up your trip!
Staff - warm and courteous Location - central in the Mara. Very convenient for game drives around the park. Spotted the big five minus the rhino Food - not enough options in their buffet meals. Too much focus on Indian meals compared to continental Accommodation - some rooms need lots of improvement and refurbishment. The hotel currently riding on 2014/2015 ratings. No elec between 12 and 4am. The hippos roam around at night and sometimes so close that you can hear the grunts. Overall underwhelming experience; not a 5* as purported.
The hotel is well located, not too far from the main gate of Masai Mara from Narok. It has an airstrip close by. The hotel is on a large area of land, but fairly flat and easy to walk around. There is a medium sized swimming pool, and a large hippo pool, where you can see many hippos lazing around. The Hippos come to the hotel grounds at night, so should not leave your rooms at night without getting assistance. The meals were good, and special requests were done with a smile.
