Iberotel Luxor earns praise for its professional service and picturesque location on the Nile, which is handy for exploring nearby attractions. The hotel's amenities, including the pool and dining options, are popular among guests, as is the overall cleanliness of the property. While the rooms offer pleasing cleanliness and views, some guests suggest they could benefit from modernization, and noise can be an issue. The atmosphere is described as serene, with beautiful gardens and a riverside pool, yet opinions on value for money vary.

Perfectly situated within walking distance of Luxor museums, ruins and boating/cruising facilities along the Nile. The city centre is very busy and noisy but fascinating to observe all the hustle and bustle. Be prepared to be approached constantly with offers of taxi's, horse and carriage rides, trips, children offering things for sale and the odd beggar. However, people were not as persistent as I have experienced in other Egyptian resorts and generally left you alone when asked. All were very polite and friendly. A couple of things to be wary of: people telling you they recognise you from your hotel and trying to get you to go to elsewhere and being asked to change coins for notes. On that note, preferred currency is US dollars or Egyptian pounds although Euro's and GBP Sterling are generally accepted. Coins of any currency are not accepted so take lots of lower value notes. The Ibertol only accepted card payments in US dollars although you could pay cash in any of the previously mentioned currencies.
The hotel is well presented with well kept gardens and a superb pool area floating on a platform on the Nile. The hotel has a yacht that is used for river trips and the occasional dinner. There is also a couple of other onsite restaurants. A good choice of food in the buffet restaurant but don't expect chips unless you order them at lunchtime at the pool bar. The staff are friendly and polite and most speak English.
Our room was overall presentable with daily cleaning and a bottle of water. There was a stocked fridge (chargeable) and a safe (free) and air conditioning/heating. Coffee and tea were in the room but not always restocked however sachets were replenished when requested. The beds were really comfortable and changed mid stay. The bathroom toilet, sink and floor were clean but the bath tiles/shower frame could of done with some attention - not bad enough to complain about but something we mentioned on our checkout review. Our room faced the street which was noisy but this was counter balanced by being able to people watch from the balcony which was very entertaining!
Big recommendation for booking trips - go see Ramadan based in the hotel by the yacht. We booked our sunset balloon flight with him for a very good price. Everyone we talked to who had used him, were highly complimentary of his services.

I stayed in this hotel at the end of October 2023 with my 7 year old son. Convenient hotel for getting around Luxor, varied sweet and savory breakfast, presence of a swimming pool overlooking the Nile, open until 6pm. The beach towel is given free of charge at the pool. For lunch and dinner there are 3 restaurants within the structure, 2 of which are à la carte and 1 buffet (the price of the buffet is 350 EGP for dinner and 250 EGP for lunch). Children pay half price. Drinks not included. Overall I am satisfied. Take the rooms overlooking the Nile, you will see a beautiful sunset and early in the morning the rising of hot air balloons. In the room there is air conditioning, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water only). Comfortable mattresses. Of course the room is not brand new but that's how it is in Egypt :D

A few days ago I returned from my second stay at Iberotel Luxor. This time I traveled with my mother, who received the stay as a birthday present.
The hotel arranged our journey from the airport. I already have to praise the company's choice here. which provides this service. Our driver was professional and responsive to our needs.
Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted with a very warm welcome. It was nice that the staff remembered me from the previous visit. As on our first visit, we were accommodated very quickly. The hotel staff was actually just waiting for us to finish our welcome drink.
We were very pleased to receive the same room as my first stay. The view of the Nile from this room is unforgettable at any hour. In the morning you watch the balloon take off and in the evening a beautiful sunset.
Although the room equipment is older, everything is functional and clean. We were also pleased with the kettle for making coffee or tea. There was a TV in the room, but we never turned it on.
We very much enjoyed spending time by the pool and saying hello to people passing by on the Nile. The lifeguards were very attentive not only to us, but also to other guests. Whenever they saw people coming to the pool, they already brought towels to adjust them for you, adjusted the parasol as desired and even came several times in the afternoon to ask if everything was okay. And they even cleaned your glasses.
The food at this hotel is phenomenal. Everything we ate was very well seasoned. Salads and other vegetables are always fresh. I also visited the Italian restaurant and we had a great time here as well.
The staff at all the bars and in the restaurant were very helpful and helpful. If there was an error, they corrected it immediately.
I cannot fault this hotel. From the first to the last moment, the staff did everything for our comfort and relaxation. The presence of Mr. Ayman Elshawadfy was felt everywhere. He was helpful not only to us but also to the staff.
Me and my mom would like to thank all the staff for their exemplary care of our comfort. Thank you Mr. Ayman for making our stay memorable.
We are already looking forward to our next visit to this hotel.

We loved the hotel and service, the hotel has the best location in the city, you need to walk few minutes to be in the bazaars area or Luxor temple, the view from the room was the best moment specially early morning watching the ballons from the other side of the Nile, the room bit old but it has everything (minibar, tea and coffee cocker, air conditioning and safe box)
The service was excellent, very polite and friendly staff and what I noticed was that the management was always around offering the help and making sure that everything was good for all customers.
The food was good specially the breakfast buffet which has everything you wish to eat for breakfast, drinks were good but I think it was bit expensive!
We loved our stay and we recommend this hotel for everyone.

We spent a night at the Iberotel Luxor before catching a ship to Aswan. The hotel is close to the Luxor airport and convenient to town. The front desk was efficient in checking us in and provided all the information needed when requested. I enjoyed the 24 hour room service since our flight arrived late into the night. The food  (fish fillet) surpassed expectations and was brought to us not long after ordering it. Although I appreciated all these services, by far the service I appreciated the most was the customer service provided after I checked out. Unlike other hotels that believe their service is complete after check out the employees at Iberotel Luxor went above and beyond the call. When I called about a jacket I mistakenly left at the hotel Mr. Fayez, the night manager, was instrumental in locating said jacket. He then kept in contact with me for the next few days as they assisted me in figuring out how to retrieve the jacket as I was already back in Cairo. He involved guest services who communicated with my tour company to ensure I received it before my international flight 48 hours later. I also was impressed with the care of items (money) within the jacket that they wrapped securely. The integrity and customer service they provided will ensure I stay with them in future. It is also the reason I highly recommend this hotel in Luxor for those international visitors who appreciate great service.

Good hotel but bedrooms in need of urgent update. Other major issue. No drinks like water supplied at dinner although available with breakfast. Glass water/fruit juice machine costs US$2 at dinner. Felt it necessary to buy water from supermarket & take into restaurant. Hotel river cruise charged similarly against usual Egyptian custom of free food & drink on cruises

We stayed at the Iberotel in Nov/Dec 2024. The location is fantastic on the edge of the Nile with wonderful views across to the West bank. The hotel is 4 star but is a more like a 5 star. The rooms are compact but have everything you need, tea coffee etc is replenished every day there is a small fridge and mini bar. Food is plentiful and of a high standard, we stayed B & B and found local restaurants for our evening meals. The staff can't do enough to make the stay hassle free from the minute you book in to the day you leave.

If you are going for the history then ten minutes walk and you are at the Temple of Luxor. Also near by are the mummification museum and Luxor museum both are within walking distance. We walked every where we could including to Karnak temple which took about 3/4 of an hour. If you don't want to walk there are plenty of horse and buggy's and taxis all after your trade. This also applies to ferry trips to the west bank or boat trips on the Nile.

All in all our stay here is one we will remember the rest of our lives and if we go back to Luxor it will be to the Iberotel.

The hotel, which is about 25 minutes from the airport, is very centrally located. It impresses with its quiet atmosphere and well-kept interior. An oasis in a very turbulent city. The concept is overall very harmonious and appealing. The rooms, including the room service, gave no reason for complaint, the buffet offering was clearly arranged and the quality of every meal was impressive. The outdoor area offers opportunities to linger, whether on the sheltered outdoor terrace, the well-kept garden or by the pool on the converted boat on the Nile. Excursions are also offered on the Iberotel Lotus, the hotel's own ship. I would particularly like to thank Mr Ayman Elshawadfy, the Executive Assistance Manager, who was on hand to help and advise me during my stay. He impressed with his professional performance in every situation.

The location was within walking distance of the Luxor Temple, and it was no problem for a woman to walk there alone for dinner at around 9pm. The breakfast was very delicious with a wide variety of bread, sausages, potatoes, vegetables, and fruits. Omelettes were made to order on the spot.
The room was clean and had no problems. There were large plastic bottles in the room. Other people commented that the noise outside was loud, but with a view of the Nile, it wasn't so bad.
Perhaps because I was traveling alone as a woman, I was scared when the hotel staff came to my room at night with amenities and asked me to tell them what to do. I dealt with it through the chain lock.

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel, but do pay the extra for a Nile view room with balcony. We booked a garden room as we were only staying a couple of nights, but the 'garden' rooms do not overlook a garden at all, they all face inwards over the hotel lobby, the 'garden' being large window boxes with various plants etc. The floor in the lobby is polished every night, the noise of the machine echoing and reverberating all around the lobby area at around 2 to 3 o'clock in the morning ! Apart from that the hotel was really nice, friendly, the food and service in the bar and restaurant was very good.

Good Day, Mr. Peter; On behalf of the management team and staff members; I would like to thank you for sparing your time to post your short comment regarding our hotel services. We are really happy to know that we were up to your expectations and sincerely look forward to welcoming you back. Regarding your side comment about the garden rooms, I would lime that the garden rooms are the ones overlooking the Nile and hotel garden, while the lobby side rooms all are overlooking the lobby area. Please accept my apology for the noise of the floor marble polishing machine and rest assured that we have taken the necessary action and replaced the machine with another that does not emit a loud sound that reaches the ears of the guests in their rooms. Once again we do thank you for your time, and looking forward to welcoming you back to our Iberotel Luxor in the near future. Assuring you of our best services and attention at all the times; Here below my email address and cell phone number: mohamed.hassan@jazhotel.com +20100 1600 611 I will be more than happy to receive a short note of your next visit to welcome you personally.
