The structure is very large and includes the classic hotel part, mini apartment structures and a solarium pool facing the Nile, with some shops in the pre-hall part. Large structure with large spaces, our room with two oversized single beds, large bathroom, TV, writing desk with mini fridge, armchairs and small terrace with armchairs and table facing the Nile. Large and panoramic dining room, large buffet area (well served), the only flaw (but I think linked to our tour operator, water not included and payments yes in €uro but "no coins"). Good and good quality cuisine (even if the hot containers were more lukewarm than hot), the trip having an excursion departure when the kitchens were not open we had an excellent sweet/savoury breakfast basket. Courteous and kind staff. Unfortunately, the structure is suffering from the effects of time and poor constant maintenance (bathroom with leaks from the tub/shower, shower head leaking in several places), room with curtains and fixtures that need to be "maintained", peeling chairs/terrace table... Cleaning at the bare minimum/insufficient.

This hotel is one of those "5-star hotels" in the city, and it offers nice views of the Nile River, and on top of that, they also own the other side of thstreet through an underground passageway. That was actually interesting to see. The pool was pretty cold and a welcome relief for the sweltering heat during our stay in Aswan, in the mid-40s!
The staff helped us assist in our luggage and did not ask for tips afterwards. Finally! Professionalism right there! The breakfast was of great quality and also offers a nice view of the river. The breakfast room has an outdoor balcony seating if you want that fresh Sahara air!
One downside though was that the washroom was pretty dated and you can tell by how old the door was due to repeated exposure from humidity. Also, their spa is not free unlike my hotel in Cairo. The staff were initially excited that we went there to have fun, she even turned on the music to set the mood, only to find out that the service was paid and we all rushed out of there. Haha that was funny!

Beautiful lobby and views. Our room in the annex area was spacious and had a gorgeous view of the Nile as well as super comfy beds. It was also quite a hike from the main building. As other reviewers have indicated, the place has seen better days and just feels shabby and tired. The bellhops were in such a hurry to whisk our luggage away to our room, they ended up taking the wrong luggage, twice. The hand sanitizer dispensers in many parts were empty, and the glass in the elevator was simply filthy. The shower in our (also spacious) bathroom was TINY and didn't even have the smallest shelf for putting one's things. A hook for the towel on the back of the door was hung upside down, so the towel would fall down! There appear to be many food options, but this is misleading. We had a 12:30 pickup for tours in the area, so tried going to lunch early, to be told they don't start to serve lunch until 1. After we explained the situation and asked what our options were for eating there, they brought us the room service menu. Okay, so we ordered off of that menu, while sitting in their main restaurant. I got the "grilled cheese" sandwich, which came with smoked beef, but I requested it with no meat, which I said repeatedly. Well. You can guess how that went. Thankfully they were gracious about the error and comped us the sandwich, but alas, by then, it was too late to wait for more food, so I went mostly without lunch. For dinner we once again tried the room service menu, this time from our room, and one person in our family had stomach issues the following day. Breakfast, I will say, was good. This hotel seems very established and popular for Aswan, with breathtaking views, decent space, and comfy beds. Also, our 1-night stay was riddled with inconveniences. So. A mixed review.

From the moment we stepped in the hotel we were greeted with a clod refreshment and welcomed by the friendly GM Mr. Mohamed Ragab with warm smile, check-in was quick and efficient. We were quickly helped with the luggage delivery to our room where we received a welcome call from the guest services manager Ms. Monica. We had some cloths needed to be washed, even though it was Friday the happily accepted the laundry and it was ready within the hour and delivered to the room. The room was comfortable and clean . The view of the mile and the mountain was wonderful. We will return here again should we come back to Aswan.

The hotel was wonderful from all aspects. Not only is the hotel management very professional but they also provide a service with a personal touch. The management was very accommodating to our requests despite the hotel being at full occupancy. We definitely would recommend this hotel to any one visiting the beautiful city of Aswan.

Well-secured access, large entrance area with 2 ATMs (one even gives out 4000 pounds). Arrival well prepared. Several elevators. Large corridors to the rooms. Great balcony per room (not visible) with table and seating. Nice, large bathroom.
Very large breakfast buffet with the option of sitting on an absolutely huge terrace with a view of the Nile.
Pool area right on the Nile can be reached via an entrance from the entrance area (unfortunately we saw this too late). During our stay, the WiFi only worked in the lobby but not in the rooms.
When there was a power outage throughout Aswan, a generator even supplied the elevators with power (but we decided not to use it).
Unfortunately, only about 15 rooms were occupied during our stay. Then such a huge hotel seems deserted.
Bathtub with shower partition. The usual problem with the seals - they quickly look unsightly. But we were in Egypt.
But the evening on the balcony and the breakfast on the terrace were absolutely worth 5 stars.
Oh yes, definitely visit the Nubian Museum - not on the itinerary of most package tours

It's an unbelievably stunning hotel! The lobby is so beautiful and grand, upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink of hibiscus juice and it was beautiful. The staff were incredibly helpful and the check in was nice and smooth. We were staying In the onsite villa apartments so after check in we had to go back outside and under the walk way to the villa area which was beautiful! The villa area was nice and tranquil and the pool was beautiful and cooling in the aswan heat. The Room - the room was beautiful it was very large and spacious, we had 2 double beds (eventhough we only used one) and a sitting area with a table for eating which was great the wardrobe was large and had more than enough space for our clothes and the safety deposit box was great The food - the food and breakfast was lovely every morning theu were more than happy to provide a substantial breakfast and they were great and packed us small breakfast bags for our extremely early start when we went to Abusimbel. The restaurant food was also great after a long say we were going to head out for food but my partner was exhausted so we went to the restaurant at the hotel instead and the food was top notch not too expensive and quick to come out

Location is central to allow walking to the town area. Room and bathroom were spacious with a big balcony and good views of the River Nile. All the hotel staff were good, professional and willing to help. Breakfast was good. Dinner is buffet (there is a menu option) but over-priced. Basically the same menu items every day, breakfast or dinner. But there is a lovely fish restaurant just almost opposite the hotel that serves good dinner at much less price.
The hotel is located right on a very busy road, so there is constant loud street noise day AND night, even with balcony doors closed (I stayed for 9 nights). Hotel should make the balcony doors double glazed to help with this. WiFi is very poor at the hotel. I was on the 5th floor and could not get good WiFi on most occasions. This was also the case in several areas of the hotel. Very disappointed by that, so you need to get your own local SIM card to stay here. The gym is very poor! Equipment like treadmill is broken and abandoned in a pile of dust. The sports TV channels in my room were of very poor quality (very grainy pictures). Complained about this, as this was during the World Cup, maintenance man came but could not fix it. Fridge in my room was old, iced up, making door not to close, and hence not functional. A five-star hotel should really be checking and replacing items like this. The whole swimming pool area is in a different area of the site, not adjacent to the main building as the pictures may indicate. You can only access that swimming pool area through a private tunnel under the very busy road after coming out of the main entrance of the hotel, so not really convenient for going to swim from your room.

I’m sure in its glory days this hotel was very nice, but now it is dated and needs major refurbishment.
Pros: • location is great if you are taking a Nile Cruise • the staff are very friendly • laundry and room service are very affordable and the room service food was pretty good • the AC in the room was amazing!
Cons: • the mattresses are so firm that it felt like sleeping on the floor • our mattress had a valley in the middle, so we rolled into each other • the room was very dated — the bathroom ceiling had paint chipping off of it, the furniture was old and had damage from years of use • the refrigerator had a 1/2” gap between the c seal and the fridge, so it was frozen over and the light would not turn off. • the shower nozzle felt like a pressure washer • we tried every light switch in the room and could not figure out how to turn off the bathroom lights, which were on when we first arrived • the old windows are not soundproof, so it is very easy to hear the traffic noise. I recommend a sound machine or downloading a white noise track off of iTunes to play on repeat to sleep • the hallways are not air conditioned, so outside of your room and certain areas, it was very hot. • our stay included a free breakfast buffet, but it was underwhelming. • the safety bar in our bathtub was pulled out the wall making it useless • the in room safe is very small. You cannot fit an iPad or computer in it.
Like many places, the pandemic really hurt Egypt’s tourism, and it still has rebounded. I hope that things improve and they can get the funds to make much-needed improvements to the rooms.
I would not recommend this place (at this time), unless you don’t care about a restful night’s sleep.

Huge property fronting the Nile. We were upgraded to Junior Suites that were directly on the river, with the pool only steps away from our rooms. While the rooms were very comfortable, the luxury factor was missing considering this is a 5 star hotel. Complained about a non working plug point & it was immediately corrected. The bathroom, though good sized, had a leaking tub & inoperable lock. Apart from these small issues, no complaints. We got great weather in Aswan & it was a pleasure to sit on the porch, sipping a hot beverage & watching feluccas sail by on the Nile. You could rent one too, & be picked up from & dropped back to the hotel doorstep. Very convenient! The property also houses a large entertainment center with a 4 lane bowling alley, table tennis & pool tables. Breakfast at the Ramses restaurant was pretty good, though not as expansive as one would expect from a 5 star resort. The staff were very friendly & always happy to help. Overall a pleasant experience.
