There are signs of time, but they are clean and quiet. The reception staff were kind and prepared a room opposite the boulevard, but it was so quiet at night that I slept really soundly. The other day, when I stayed at the Domiin Hotel next door, I thought the noise was driving me crazy, but the other room on the other side of the road was this quiet. This was the quietest hotel I've been staying in recently. But I could hear the machine humming from somewhere in the morning until I checked out. The bathtub didn't run out, so I was embarrassed when I washed it. I'm only going to stay for one night anyway, and I haven't told the staff since I've already taken a shower. There was nothing uncomfortable about it except those two. This hotel often goes to sauna, even if it's not accommodation, but sauna facilities are good. When I'm with my husband, I usually use the Hilton Hotel because of the Tier membership, but I think Acor Group Hotel is good too. Oh, I bought a roll cake at this hotel bakery(The Deli) and ate it, but the texture is rice cake. It didn't taste good.

Overall I like the location, comfortable beds, gym, and some services.
I sense that the front desk will not allow you to check in early for Accor Silver members even though the hotel was not 100% full, but they would customarily say it was full and let you wait till 3:00 PM.
On my check out, I overheard one of the guests complain and contest saying he could not believe the hotel was 100% booked. Finally, the staff was bent to check him in early. Strange system.
The room I stayed in had a fabric curtain over the bathtub, so it was nothing flashy or modern. But the bed was super comfortable - was a big plus. I stayed there for four days and was not looking forward to the breakfast as there were limited choices. The only meat (either chicken or beef) dish except for bacon looked tired, uninteresting, or appetizing. Otherwise, it had too many carbohydrate/unhealthy dishes to fill the space and not enough salad either. When we arrive at about 8:30 - 9:00 am, some dishes were empty and never refilled. The tables are always full of used plates. I wish they paid more attention to clearing away used plates. In my view, the standard and waulity of breakfast went downhill a bit

I am currently still staying at the Novotel, I couldn't change unfortunately. Paid an extreme amount of money for a 2-week stay for business. The check-in was already weird as they wanted the whole sum upfront, 5,000 EUR. Never mentioned anywhere before. We booked executive floor rooms to have access to the lounge, but let me tell you, for a premium of 100 EUR per night and person, it is not worth it. The Air conditioning makes a weird loud noise, the repairman is not able to fix it, so working in the is difficult. They only serve food during a happy hour between 5 and 7pm. 7pm!!!!! Our meetings end at 7pm. In JW Marriott the lounge opens much longer. So we can't eat there after our meeting marathon. So we brought food ourselves, which of course was not allowed. I mean, come on!!! Another waste of money. One morning it was raining, and the hotel does NOT provide umbrellas. I mean, we are paying 20K euros in total, and not an umbrella in a city where it rains rather often?? The whole hotel is outdated, and smells, because there is carpet anywhere. The service level is not worth 5 stars. Overprized and underdelivering. Not what you want or expect. Will stay at JW again next time.

Stayed in Novotel Seoul gangnam for 3days. It was just business trip but all meeting was canceled due to virus issues around whole wide city. I was very nervous so, I visited concierge desk and asked my bunch of concerns likewise especially my personal schedules,making new plans for returning home and getting details of locally informations for safety. Thanks to kyu-hyun, He helped me so many things for my safety journey in seoul. And the mask! that he gave me for my safety before leaving hotel with taxi also he always helped to find clean zone where i ask to visit for sight seeing.(even i didnt ask for it at all.)Very impressive and touched to me. Appreciate it again! and hope the Korea get over this disease soon!

The rooms are specifically not comfortable the AC is very poorly maintained at 15deg it is not cooling. The rooms have a smell of a stale cloth. We have booked three rooms all have different issues. One air conditioner two mini bar a basic water heating cattle is not provided in one and the hotel does not keep masks at public places but expects all to wear mask. Poor courtesy by staff and communication skills. As a Accor brand we expect an international standard which is clearly missing

I am sorry that your experience at our hotel did not match your expectations. The description you gave is far from the service we strive to provide. I already forwarded the air conditioning problem you mentioned to our engineering team. We have both manual and automatic air conditioning systems; the automatic system may not have been set to a low temperature when you stayed at our hotel. Concerning the missing water cattle and the poor courtesy of our staff, please be reassured that we will reinforce our training program in the Rooms and F&B departments to avoid similar problems in the future. Finally, I am surprised about your comment on the masks. We take the coronavirus situation very seriously, and all our employees must wear masks. We try to keep all of our guests in a safe environment. We will remind our team members to respect this rule and ensure that all the guests wear a mask inside. I have stayed at a number of Novotels in Asia and NorAm but this Novotel in Gangnam is by far my favorite - they go above and beyond to provide an exceptional stay and customer experience. Check-in was smooth, the room was spacious and very clean, and their team communication appeared seamless. Their service standards were observed at every turn, whether it was Concierge or Front Desk or the Premier Lounge or Fitness Center or GranA - they anticipate what you would need and correct what doesn't fulfill the ask. Location was great as it was a three minute walk to Gangnam Food Street, shops, and subway; it is also a K Limousine Airport Bus Stop so that was convenient. 100% will book again when I go back to Seoul later this year.

My stay at the **** Novotel Seoul Gangnam has exceeded my expectations :
1. Novotel Gangnam hotel deserves a 5* for its great Lobby , food outlets , executive club floor etc .
2. Executive floor club Lounge is comfortable and offers generous food and drink options especially during the happy 2 hours . Service is very caring and attentive as staff are very well trained to handle all situations. .
I highly recommend Ms YUNI
3. Great Comfort for the rooms with Nespresso coffee machine , very quiet , etc
4. Excellent location in the Gangnam area with hundreds of restaurants just 5 to 10 minutes walk .

I had an unfortunate incident which was immediately rectified by the highly competent and helpful, front desk manger, Alex. I want to thank Alex for his professionalism and for taking my queries with empathy and aptitude. I highly recommend visitors (in particular, foreigners who are new to Korea) to get in touch with Alex prior to their visit to organize their stay, as he is very helpful. He speaks fluent English and has such a respectful approach in understanding visitors’ needs. This was my first visit to Korea in eight years and my first stay at Novotel Ambassador Seoul Gangnam, and he has made a tremendous difference. I also think Novotel, with a manager like Alex who has great customer relations, would be a great venue for international delegates for conferences. The concierge, doormen/women, housekeeping, and a few other staff were also very helpful and friendly. The lobby is beautifully decorated, the rooms are quiet and smells pleasant, the breakfast buffet was delicious with a good variety of quality food, and the location was prime. Thank you for a pleasant experience.
