We had a great stay at Chantilly's for our 25th Anniversary. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food, cocktails and service were all excellent. Staff were very helpful with local advice and booking tours and airport transfers

I decided to book this place because it was close to town and what seemed like a very nice clean modern..ish place to base ourselves...well from the photos anyway. Port Vila is HOT, so for me check in needed to be efficient. I totally understand the concept of island time but come on, we were melting standing at reception waiting for them to get things in order. Our room was a one bedroom apartment which wasnt up to my expectations (Im not high maintenance either). We over looked the once was pier which was a shame. (They should update the pics) the bathroom was very small, and the kitchen was not exactly what I imaged, hence why they hardly have any pics of it. The bedroom and view where ok. Just the afternoon view was an absolute stinger. Next door was The Banyan Bar...nice spot for an arvo drink and Pizza, but make sute they dont charge you twice. We ordered drinks and pizza then decided to take our pizza to the room. Upon check out they charged us for the pizza...dont think so! We told them that this had happened to the couple before us...the left hand doesnt see what the right hand is doing. We checked out early because it just wasn't us and headed for the Ramada for some luxury. Would I stay here again..unfortunately thats a no from me. Would I recommend it..not for 7 days, maybe 2 or 3.

I really wish I booked somewhere else. Our bed was hard and sheets were scratchy. There were a lot of sleepless nights due to discomfort. The room was a dull dirty yellow not white at all like the website shows. Our ceiling fan and the light in it would turn off and on all by itself. We told a staff member about this but the issue continued. At night we turned the light off 5 times before we gave up and slept without the fan at all, just great in the tropics. Bathroom grout was dirty and the show head had next to no water pressure. The toilet also wasn’t cleaned properly. The kitchenette taps leaked when you turned them on. The “breakfast included” only gave us two choices so by the end of our 10 night stay we could barely stomach it. Toast was thin and burnt most days. There is no elevator and stairs are incredibly slippery and dangerous if you have wet feet. Our balcony also constantly had stagnant water the colour of rust around the edges from the garden/aircon. Really disappointing. Premium prices for a crapy stay. I would never stay here again.

The location is fairly central (not in the centre of the Main Street but a lovely 10 min stroll along the foreshore). The room was clean and comfortable. I was travelling with a friend who was planning to sleep on the fold out sofa -it wasn't made up but staff left some bedding. Only downside is the room booklet said they do money exchange at reception which I was relying on but when I asked the staff about that they said that was old information and they don't do money exchange. The hotel could update that info. Recommend this place -the restaurant is also awesome. Thanks for a nice stay.

Merci beaucoup to Vanessa and her team for a great stay. Older style apartment set up with one bedroom, kitchenette, lounge area and balcony with brilliant view across the bay. The sunsets here are spectacular! The location is brilliant - great bars, restaurants, movie cinema close by and an easy 10 minute flat walk along the foreshore to town - produce markets, handicraft markets and supermarket. Hospitality and customer service second to none. Our breakfasts were included - choice of toast and eggs or cereal with coffee, hot chocolate and juices at Chantilly's restaurant overlooking the water with plenty of tropical fish just metres away. Beautiful pool with plenty of deck chairs and next door to Banyan Bar. Great place to stay - we'll be back for sure!
