The location is fairly central (not in the centre of the Main Street but a lovely 10 min stroll along the foreshore).
The room was clean and comfortable. I was travelling with a friend who was planning to sleep on the fold out sofa -it wasn't made up but staff left some bedding.
Only downside is the room booklet said they do money exchange at reception which I was relying on but when I asked the staff about that they said that was old information and they don't do money exchange. The hotel could update that info.
Recommend this place -the restaurant is also awesome. Thanks for a nice stay.

Review of restaurant only. Located on the water with a stunning view of the bay. Had a quick lunch here, pizza and fried rice. Decent food. Reasonable prices and the rice portion was too much to finish. Tasty lime juice included with the fried rice lunch special for $1600VT. Good service.

We had a great stay at Chantilly's for our 25th Anniversary. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food, cocktails and service were all excellent. Staff were very helpful with local advice and booking tours and airport transfers

I really wish I booked somewhere else. Our bed was hard and sheets were scratchy. There were a lot of sleepless nights due to discomfort. The room was a dull dirty yellow not white at all like the website shows. Our ceiling fan and the light in it would turn off and on all by itself. We told a staff member about this but the issue continued. At night we turned the light off 5 times before we gave up and slept without the fan at all, just great in the tropics. Bathroom grout was dirty and the show head had next to no water pressure. The toilet also wasn’t cleaned properly. The kitchenette taps leaked when you turned them on. The “breakfast included” only gave us two choices so by the end of our 10 night stay we could barely stomach it. Toast was thin and burnt most days. There is no elevator and stairs are incredibly slippery and dangerous if you have wet feet. Our balcony also constantly had stagnant water the colour of rust around the edges from the garden/aircon. Really disappointing. Premium prices for a crapy stay. I would never stay here again.

Toilet filthy stained. No shower rose on arrival had to ask for one. Door lock was normal lock not good and inside secure bar broken. Outside door to balcony didn't lock to latch. TV was snow and one channel no sound told couldn't be fixed yet tv in reception area perfect. They didn't give me code to lock box and it's manual with key so not a number you make up hence I didn't use it. Keys kept falling off key chain and if you loose you pay. I made up my own so wouldn't loose. Housekeeping did best they could in not so maintained hotel. Pool photo deceptive it sits actually very exposed to diners reception and other conference amenities. No one used it that I saw. I like to go in pool but due to being so exposed I elected not too. Hotel needs some maintenance. Location good walkable distance to town. View across bay is as photos.

We loved the food, view, staff and atmosphere so much that we went back a second time.

The staff were friendly, the menu catered to all different dietary requirements, the portions were large and the prices were more than reasonable. I definitely recommend! + it’s right on the water. A perfect place for sunset.

This is a lovely hotel set in the harbour with amazing views. My room was well appointed and spacious and very clean- serviced daily.
The restaurant has great food with a large menu.
Staff are very friendly.
If you want to go to Hideaway Island take a van- they are constantly on the road and the number plate has B on it
We took a taxi one-way for 2500 vatu whereas the van only charge 200 vatu.
The hotel is an easy walk to town

We only tried the restaurant twice but it was easily the best food we had in over a week in Vanuatu.

Would definitely recommend the yellow fin sashimi which was a very generous portion and had a lovely sauce.

A tasty beef island curry was on the lunch/dinner special menu including a non alcoholic drink. Two other excellent dishes were the super seed green salad topped with crunchy and fairly lean caramelized Vietnamese pork belly and also the croque Monsieur. The latter could have used more toasting but the delicious bechamel and cheese made up for that.

Lovely view with tropical fish swimming by down below the water side tables. Quick and friendly service.

The cashier seems a little out of it and it’s good to check your bill. The specials include the excellent lime juice.

Would most definitely go back!!

We had 2 nights here on a layover. Enjoyed the location and views very much. Our 1 bedroom apartment had a kitchen, separate living / dining, 2 balconies with incredible views of Fatumaru Bay from every room .

Pool is beautiful and warm.

Restaurant very slow for service ( island time) but good food. Drinks left a bit to be desired. their “Revitilizer” punch was refreshing.

Will suit someone who enjoys the hustle and bustle of being near the action . Banyan Beach Bar next door is part of the hotel and has splendid sunsets.

This was our first stay at Chantilly's on the Bay. We had a late flight into Port Villa and we wanted two nights before we transferred to another island. We enjoyed our stay. Only 10-15 minutes from the airport and a convenient walk into the center of town. We had a lovely room overlooking the bay with a small kitchen. The breakfast at Tilly's was excellent and evening drinks and pizza on the water at the Banyan Beach Bar was great. We would stay again.
My only negative was a door in the bathroom that hid the internal wall plumbing would not close and the lights in the bedroom were very dim

Chantilly's isn't a resort per se rather a well equipped hotel - restaurant, pool, great location. It's on the bay side of Vila and close to town centre, movies, bars and restaurants - you can walk to town centre in 10-15 minutes on a flat path along the waterfront. It's priced reasonably and very comfortable. I stayed for the first time recently and will definitely be going back. No hesitation in recommending Chantilly's.

I have just come out of a lengthy spell in a wheelchair and wasn't prepared for the stairs. As NewCaladonia-Garth pointed out, there are spiral staircases and no lift. From what we researched there are no lifts in Port Villa properties. I'd suggest looking for an accessible property with ground floor facilities.
