Detailed Reviews
We stayed in Fatumaru Lodge and found this chinese restaurant. Nice set up sitting by the water at night and the staff lid up the mozzy repellent for you. Food was very delicious at a very reasonable price with complimentary fruit plate before you finish!
Will definitely recommend this restaurant!!!

My room was excellent, but the downside was having to go to the hot lobby for internet and there was no fridge in the room. Service was outstanding and the new owners are figuring out what works best for guests. Breakfast is not included as there is no restaurant, but right across the street is a shopping plaza with the best French bakery on the first floor. My pastries were as good as in France. There's plenty of other eating options in the plaza too, including pizza, chicken, burgers, and Japanese. Also in that plaza is an authentic Thai massage: 2 full hours for US $44!
Thank you Dada, general manager, for your special treatment with me.

The Crystal Palace Hotel looks amazing but nothing is quite as it seems. Our beds were literally stiff as boards (because they were flipped the wrong way round), the air con did not work (we changed rooms until we found one that did), the bench area had no plug for the kettle to plug into, they gave us 1 teabag and 1 coffee to last us for the 4 days we checked in, the fridge did not work properly, the bathroom had glass walls from floor to ceiling so you could see and hear everything, the hot water in the shower did not work, the roof balcony facing the water was so small you could barely stand on it - I could go on but you get the picture. On the plus side, the rooms were clean and spacious and the Ni-Van staff were amazing!

My family and I stayed at the crystal palace hotel for one week, it was fantastic.
The whole staff was very friendly and accommodating. They gave us lots of recommendations about the best places to visit in Vanuatu and they definitely weren't wrong! The hotel also organised all our transport, having drivers pick us to and from locations.
The hotel was also very close to the city centre, perfect walking distance. It was also right next to the water, we were able to swim and kayak in the bay right outside our hotel, there was a great view of the island there.
Our room itself was very clean, large and spacious, with good facilities and we had a balcony with an amazing view. The room service was also very good, providing a spare bed and other things when asked. They also had very good authentic Asian food in the restaurant attached to the hotel, as well as western food. The only negatives was that the wifi was a bit slow there and the restaurant had a bit of a wait for the food to arrive, though they did reassure us that it was because the restaurant was just starting up and was bit understaffed at the moment.
However overall we had an amazing stay there, they had a fantastic, friendly staff who were very accomidating and helpful. The location was great and our room was spacious and well kept. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay here, would definitely recommend!

nice setting only everything inside are all Chinese Furnitures and chinese Settings, carpets on the flour , everything was cleaned, the bed is kinder of very hard but i think that was ok. Breakfast is not much so dont expect a sort of buffet. If not walking distance to town 15 mins, downstairs is the chinese restarant reasonable , and pizza hut across the road, with the Meleanisan Hotel who does buffet and island nights with Kava on Fridays. shopping distance supermarket Bon Marchee 10 mins of walk

The place has an unimpressive exterior but the room was nice. Ocean view and a nice size. I booked online and that seemed to be confusing for the desk clerk as they seem to mostly cater to Chinese customers. But is all worked out well. Bed was good and the water was hot. No problems there. If you do stay make sure to hit the nearest restaurants and bars they’re all good! Reefers was a favorite for us. Good clean place - I’d stay again.

The hotel is well located. The central town and the market are within walking distance. You can watch the sea from the balcony or you can have a closer view from the yard of the hotel. If lying in the beach chair, reading a book, and enjoying the sunshine are your dream, Crystal Palace is definitely a hotel to realize the dream.
