Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have been going to the Ofis regularly for quite some time and it is a great way to escape the dust and traffic of Honiara. The dining is right on the water and the service is good. The menu is small but offers enough variety to please everyone. The ever changing specials are always worth trying. It is a great family venue for any time of the day.

Simple, beachy paradise, loved the service and the location, it was very relaxing and loved the view of the water while enjoying a freshly made pizza. It's a must visit in Honiara, it's a unique experience.

The Ofis has a lot of potential that is yet to be recognised. The staff are friendly and helpful the owner needs to give them better direction before leaving for a holiday when guests are booked in Breakfast was included in booking but the poor girls had no idea about this but one of them came in next morning to make breakfast I paid for mine and my partner was told he could have his for free. The food was the best in Honiara. pizza was main item on menu and is great also eggplant dip was tasty. The room was tidy but the curtain fell on my head when I tried to open it the brackets were broken, the bathroom was outdoor style good shower but was full of mosquitoes in morning, the net over bed did not fit over bed properly and had a few big holes in it ,When we woke up in morning I noticed that the pillows under the pillow cases were filthy and the mattress smelled of mould. My partner has asthma so it was decided that we would be unable to stay as he would have become sick. With a few improvements this could be a great place to stay.

I am so sorry that your stay at our establishment didn't meet your expectations. Our staff were correct in telling you I was overseas, I was having our son and was very nervous with how everyone would go. I have taken action and have put in place measures to make sure there is more checks in place so this won't happen in the future . Please let us no if you will be visiting the Solomon's I slands ever in the future and we will gladly give you and your partner a meal on the house . Regards the Ofis

Don't be put off by the White River location of the Ofis which is about 10 minutes west from Honiara CBD. Its well worth a visit and you will come back I guarantee. I haven't stayed at the accommodation but it looks 'quaint', neat, tidy and clean. The Ofis is smallish or probably best to say compact but they can easily cater for a group of say 10 without a problem. The café is right on the water's edge and open to the sea breezes so its a great place to escape the humidity that abounds in Honiara. The food generally, but especially the Pizzas are sensational and easily the best in town. The beer is cold but the wine menu limited. The owners are great people and always trying to make you comfortable and to speed the service up which can be just a tad slow at times. But they are working hard to correct that and anyway its such a great location who cares at the end of the day when you just want to relax. This is a great place to do that.

We stayed one night in the Oceanview AirBnB room and had dinner at the café.
The pre-arrival communication by Kelly was very good and her replies fast.

Room review
Basic but clean room with a double bed, two chairs, and a few tables. There’s also a good size fridge and a hot water kettle. Instant coffee, tea, and fresh milk was provided complimentary. There were also two bottles of filtered water in the fridge, free refills are provided at the café.

There’s no AC, only a ceiling fan, which was perfectly sufficient to keep us cool. The bed is comfortable, has a big mosquito net and proper bedsheets - we slept very well.
I wish they would have a hot, or at least warm shower. The cold water was a bit painful – especially in the morning when outside temperatures are on the low side too.
There is no Wifi, neither free nor paid.

Café Review
Beautiful and cosy setting right next to the ocean. Everything is a bit dated but in ok shape and actually adding to the charm. We tried the special pizza of the day with prawn and pesto sauce. The taste and texture was quite nice. Some people say it’s the best pizza in Honiara, we haven’t any at other places, but overall I would rate the pizza as average. The price was quite high at ~22USD
Our second dish was the Tropical Ceviche, served in a coconut shell with big chunks of fish and perfectly balanced lime and coconut cream. This dish was a winner and at ~8USD a much better value than the pizza. Note: prices in Honiara are generally very high.
One complaint is the leaky thatched roof. We had to shift tables for 3 times to stay dry.

Tip: If you want to travel to and from the central market just take one of the white vans that run frequently and pay 3 Solomon dollar per person.

The Ofis is about 5km out of the main town centre but well worth a visit. The main dining space is perched over the water, so you can drink, eat and watch the sun set over the ocean. The place has a nice chilled vibe and we found the staff to be friendly and very accommodating. We snacked on some delicious cassava chips (which came with both a mayonnaise sauce and a curry sauce - great innovation!) and delicious pizzas, all washed down with a cold beer and the house wine which was surprisingly good. Reasonably priced by Honiara standards. A pleasant surprise overall!

We didn't stay at this place as our accommodation was booked for us but we sure loved the restaurant. Went there for dinner three days straight. Fabulous food with a wonderful cosy feel to it. Highly recommended.

Excellent meals served in open air restaurant overlooking the ocean. This place is a little out of the main town centre and requires a car or taxi to get there but the meals and location as worth the trip.
