We stayed at the Rosario for 4 nights in La Paz, and it was a great stay. The hotel is perfectly situated at only 5 walking minutes from the Basilisk, but it is very quiet once you get inside. Very friendly staff, great service, great rooms.

We stayed for 3 nights as part of an organised group tour. We had a 2nd floor room. There is a lift but the rooms are weirdly arranged and difficult to access with heavy cases. Most rooms open out to a partly covered courtyard and this could be a little noisy at night with guests arriving and leaving. The breakroom room and food were both amazing. The staff are all friendly. There is a very cheap laundry service, by weight. The hotel is situated right in the heart of the city within minutes walk of numerous bars and restaurants. Market stalls line the street day and night. There is a doorman and good security. The room was a good size, quite basic but adequate. Lack of sockets for charging appliances. The best thing about the hotel is the breakfast.

We have spent two nights at the hotel, before and after our trip to Lake Titicaca. The staff at the hotel is very knowledgeable and willing to help out at all times. Breakfast in the morning was great and our host was very friendly and super attentive. The hotel is located right in the downtown La Paz, walking distance to the Witch Market and main attractions, including three different lines of the Teleferico.

Such a conveniently located hotel.

The employees were amongst the best I encountered in Peru.

Breakfast was delicious - you can have eggs but need to ask for them. The waiter is lovely.

The free tea/coffee/water in the lobby is a lovely touch.

We also booked wrestling through the front desk and it was really fun.

Arriving early at 06.30 on the very comfortable Todo Tourismo bus from Uyuni we hoped they would accommodate us with an early checkin in. They did, approximately US$25. Check in was efficient with a very pleasant gentleman who spoke good English. We were therefore able to immediately enjoy 3 hours comfortable sleep. Our room was average size, clean, safe, tv etc. The actual hotel structure is very smart colonial style with a good atrium seating area where you could take a complimentary tea or coffee. Breakfast was a little better than recent ones in Chile and Bolivia. Juice, cereals, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, sausage, cold meats, cheeses and bread. A fruit and cake selection with tea and coffee completed a nice choice. Clean, comfortable and efficient being also well located minutes away from Witches Market and 15 minutes walk to San Francisco Cathedral and Plaza it made a great choice.

This hotel has a great location to explore La Paz. The tour companies pick up here which is convenient. We arrived at 2am so they arranged a taxi from the airport which was very helpful. The front desk was always friendly. The room was very clean. The shower had hot water and they did provide a heater in the room, although we found it to be comfortable in bed with warm blankets. The breakfast, which was included, had lots of options. Would recommend staying here!

What few people mention is that this hotel is on a road with a dawn to late night street market. In one way that is lovely, because you walk out of the hotel into the midst of La Paz life at its most frenetic. In another way not, becuase during market time cars can hardly get down the road. We were dumped by our taxi about 50 yards from the hotel with heavy bags and told that was as near as he could get!

Once in the hotel however, the staff could not have been more helpful. The breakfast buffet was great. The room was decent. And it was a great touch that there was constant free tea and hot water in the main lounge area. If you want to be right in the thick of it (with restaurants, shops, markets very close), this is the place for you

Rarely, if ever, do you meet such remarkable people in developing cities. La Paz is an evolving and chaotic place with a great variety of indulgences, and its always hard to find somewhere, clean safe and hospitable - yet quirky and quintessentially local

The staff here at Rosario cannot do enough for you. Ive travelled to 9 South American countries climbing mountains, and here in La Paz is a true mountain travellers gem. I want to in particular pick out the breakfast host with the most, the extraordinary Geronimo, a man who has decades of experience, a man who simply cannot do enough for his guests.

You'd normally find Geronimo in a 5 Star London hotel. he really is that good, no he's better.

And also thanks the night desk Eber, always attentive when I rose at 4am to work, drink coffee before heading to the mountains. Thank you, you really are wonderful.

Modern room, decent small garden, a traditionally decorated lobby which make you"wow". 5 mins walk to witch market and 10 mins walk to city centre. Make me feel warm and safe after travelling around La Paz.

Excellent location near the cable car, ATM and night market. Helpful staff who will help you to call cab for airport. Room is decent but the water heater can be better. The breakfast is only average with limited selection.

My flight is very early in the morning, 0230, is it possible to get airport transport at that time?

We also had a very early flight, but booked transportation through ViewPeru whom we had used in Peru for our Inca Trail trek and other sightseeing. Their guys on the ground were fantastic where ever we used them. I did find their front office to be mediocre.

We caught a taxi which took 5 minutes and cost very little. You could walk and it would take about 30 mins. The hotel stored our luggage and organised a taxi to the airport. A very nice hotel.

Hello Karen, I'm afraid I ' m not going to be of any use. I visited La Paz via Peru and my tour package meant our bus took us straight to the hotel. David
