Hotel's Favourite
From our welcoming to the hotel, throughout our entire stay and upon our departure, every service received was commendable.
The receptionist was swift in doing the check-in. We did book an extra bed and a non-smoking room, unfortunately, these two weren’t ready upon our arrival however upon informing the service desk they were immediately rectified.
We were impressed with their ‘superior room’ which is the bottom grade of rooms available. Just imagine the other grades. 🤩
I was experiencing some muscular pain due to travelling thus requested painkillers which I was supplied along with being offered medical advice. Surprisingly, the following day I received a get well soon card from Grace and a plate with a selection of sweet food items. 😊
We were fortunate to benefit from half-board. Both breakfast and dinner had a vast range of foods. No less than a dozen salads at dinner time: A very healthy range (No pun intended) with an extensive range of ‘mains’ followed by a mouth-watering collection of desserts.
I have to mention the exceptional and personal service offered by Trisha at meal times. Also, Pauline and Eric. They would thoughtfully check on us and see to our needs. Within two days of our 8 day stay, they understood our beverage requirements and were always eager to serve our very specific drinks after ensuring we were seated comfortably.
The Intercontinental Doha Beach & Spa is also top on housekeeping.
Sanjeev’s housekeeping services must not be ignored. He was very meticulous in seeing to our room and always looked at it as more than a job.
We are a family of 3 including my 12 year old son. We enjoyed spending time at the pool which offered plenty of sun beds and being right next to the beach gave us the extra advantage of dipping in and out of cool and warm waters with taking a brief shower in between. Their gym is open 24 hours and is constantly being cleaned with hygiene being a top priority.
And unlike some of my past experiences, these exceptional services were provided by all hotel personnel without any intent of tips.
An excellent experience overall.
PS: a soft close seat would be useful for the toilet pans. 😳
And finally a constant vibrant smile at the main entrance from Martin and Mamdou.

I just checked out after a week of compulsory hotel quarantine with my 7 year old daughter. Let me start by saying that I'm a fan of the intercon but was highly disappointed by the food delivery services. After specifically telling them that I'm Hindu so no beef should be served, we were sent beef 2 times. I returned the food and requested again that no beef sausages be sent with the eggs after it happened the first time but it happened again the next day. The staff were not even apologetic.
My instruction was simple, eggs for breakfast but for lunch and dinner, let 1 meal be vegetarian, for variety. It took them 5 days and multiple reminders to get it right which was frustrating. The room service staff need training or supervision.
I get it, it's a quarantine room; but I paid over 5000 riyals for the stay, and expected cleaning equipment to clean the bathroom if they were not providing housekeeping services even once. Even after asking, I was not given a toilet brush. 7 year olds can be messy and no one likes a stained WC!
However, the room was comfortable, the ac worked perfectly well - kudos engineering team. The check in and out experience was good. Jamaal, who came to get the bags was very kind - thanks Jamaal.

The room was spacious and clean. Great selection of food at the breakfast buffet. Staff is very kind and helpful. We rented a car during our stay in Qatar, and there was a valet service at the hotel. You cannot bring your portable speakers to the room, so you don't disturb the hotel guests. Hence, our speaker was left at the reception area, and we collected it upon our departure. PS; there was a fixed speaker in the room that we were able to use.

My wife and I stayed here during a stopover en-route to Thailand in a Club level room. Even before arrival we had great contact from Nelly in the lounge and all the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is away from the Corniche area which means less noise and disruption as Doha prepares to host the World Cup in 2022. The facilities of the hotel are excellent, with a great beach area which has plentiful loungers, already laid out with towels, bottled water available adjacent to the beach and a number of restaurants/bars to choose from. In addition, the gym facilities are amongst the best I've seen in a hotel with modern machines, plenty of room and good A/C. There is also a good selection of classes available.
COVID is treated with respect in the hotel with lots of hand sanitizers, temperature checks and cross referencing to the tracing app/vaccination status everywhere you go.
We also dined on more than one occasion at Mykonos which has authentic Greek cuisine and a great selection of dishes. My only gripe would be with regard to the food from the Pool Terrace, which we found to be not very warm and of mediocre quality when it reached us at the beach loungers.
However, we would definitely return to this hotel, for the welcome, staff and gym/beach.

4.5/5
Intercon beach Doha, is one of my favorite hotels in Qatar.
We stay 2-4 times a year for a relaxing get away break.
With it’s large spacious lobby area & smartly dressed staff. The staff in hotel are excellent, particularly Momadoo (sorry for spelling) at front of hotel. His greeting is always so warm & welcoming.
The last few years we have opted for a room on the club floor.
It has seating fir dinning & large comfortable gentlemens club style chaired. There’s also a terrace area.
For us it offers excellent value for money,
Included in the club rate is breakfast, afternoon tea, 2 hours of cocktails & canopies in the evening, plus’s teas, coffees & soft drinks through out the day.
Then there’s the staff on club floor, who always do an excellent job & make us feel welcome, but particular mention of Bianca & Nelly.
We also opt to stay as the hotel house two of our favorite restaurants, Mykonos for that Mediterranean feel. I would like to say a big thank you for the Christmas Day brunch. (2021)
I feel the kitchen really out did it’s self to meet dietary needs of our table. Service as always was excellent.
Then there’s Belgium bar, a bit more hectic, service not always great but it feels more like a European bar that serves good beer & food, with sports on the tv & music playing it creates a fun atmosphere.
I also like that the inside is smoke free although I wish there was a section outside that was smoke free so we could enjoy the cooler months.
The hotel also offer one of my favorite spas. You do not have to be an in-house guest to use it.
It’s set beautifully relaxed environment, with pleasant smells & gentle music playing.
Like all places in qatar it has a male & female section but you can have a couples massage in the double rooms.
The beach is one of the biggest with plenty of sun beds with shade & nice big towels. There are areas if you wish to play games & water activities on offer.
The beach itself could do with a more thorough clean.
Whether you are a visitor to Qatar or a resident the hotel offer all you need for a short break.

Great hotel with nice beach and pools and very friendly staff. Good pubs and restaurants inside.
Thanks to all the personnel at the lobby (outside by the car park, by the security scanner and checkin/concierge areas) and especially to those at the Coral restaurant for always bringing a smile, making us feel welcome and cared for. Special thanks to the morning shift staff at Coral (Sandun and all others)!
My only comment on something that needs improvement is the indoor pool at the SPA because the only time I went (past 8pm), it definitely needed some cleaning.

Covid-19 robbed us of a far away adventure with sandy toes, sunsets and pampering but the intercontinental gave us all this and more but within 15 minutes of our home.
We were greeted at a busy reception with eid weekend having just finished but our check in was smooth and pleasant. Our sea view room refreshed us as soon as we entered it; we could see the glittering sea, the doha skyline and the palm tree surrounded pool. The huge desk and comfortable work chair made Mr Fulafoo's remote working less arduous. Any bathroom with space for me to dance in gets a thumbs up from me. We were so comfortable we extended our stay!
Our days were filled with beach, pool, mojioto's and brunch. Repeat. Special shout outs to the coral breakfast team (the eggs and pastries were a gorgeous start to the day) especially Sandun (thank you for remembering our favourite breakfast eats, quick service and accommodating all our requests), the lifeguard team (for making our first kayaking experience a safe one and for always being present - very reassuring with our newly swimming miss fulafoo) and our room servicing team (sorry about all the sand).
Highlights: swimming in the sea before 8 am and at sunset, kayaking and jet ski-ing, the in room dining creme brulee (all portions are hugeee), the breakfast eggs royale & the gym with all the equipment you could need!
Lowlights: more staff needed at the belgian cafe
We left with batteries recharged and ready to return for another top up of sunshine. The intercontinental Doha has been added to the list of the few places on our list named "home".

They offered us an early check in which was great upon arrival. We were on the 5th floor/a side sea view room. The room is really old (no floor to ceiling windows - small square windows that do not open much). But the room is modern, spacious and decorated fairly well with a nice bath and comfy beds. On the second night there was a wedding party and there were children running through the corridors back and forth all night long. I came to the hotel to rest not to hear children running up and down all night. We were unfortunate to be close to the lift so heard lots of noise. When I complained in the morning the staff said why didn't you call and they would have sent security - how could I call when my daughter is next to me and I wasn't sure if she was awake or asleep? The pool, beach and pool food was really good. However, It was my birthday and they said to my daughter they would make a vegan cake for me. This didn't arrive but there was fruit which my daughter had to fight for as the reception said they don't usually offer fruit in the rooms. Anyway, a good weekend shame about the noise and the promise of a vegan cake...

Asking for a king size bed because i'm alone and I finally end up in a room with two small beds, whenever I try to call the reception it's just ringing and no ones pick up the phone, because i'm in quarantine in this hotel I cannot even go downstairs to ask the reception directly, no choice of meals for the quarantine, everything is decided by the staff.
Tried to order through talabat some groceries, the deliver guy dropped it at reception giving my room number but the staff of the hotel never shown up to my room to provide the order, and yes again, the reception nevers pick up the phone. avoid this hotel at all cost

I spent a month at the Intercontinental as part of an AFC tournament. This was our quarantine bubble hotel. The hotel is very comfortable. I stayed in the new club rooms and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff were very conscious of infection control and every effort was made to stay safe. The highlight, though, was the service. Everyone, including the restaurant, cleaning, reception and gym/pool/spa area staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make me feel at home. Thank you to all of you!

Hi Cumbria2. My husband and I used the club lounge. Breakfast is served in the club lounge in the morning. You can also avail of afternoon tea and then canapés in the evening. You also have unlimited access to soft drinks throughout the day and wine and cocktails with the canapés. We were only bed and breakfast, so not sure about the half board buffet options.
The club room comes with club lounge benefits.there's not really any point booking the room if you don't want the lounge benefits
