We are staying for one week to quarantine in Amman and movenpick has made our stay amazing by providing excellent customer service, delicious food, cleanliness, and you feel safe staying here during this pandemic. I recommend this hotel to anyone who's visiting Amman or who wants a hotel to quarantine in. Overall it was a fabulous stay. Thank you Movenpick for the warm welcome and amazing service.

What I loved most about the Movenpick Hotel room was the friendly and sunny colors that warmed my heart on that cold evening. I had a nice beautiful room facing the swimming pool at the back and I could not ask for anything better. The breakfast spread was huge and one has to take time to understand where everything is to be able to decide what to have. Only small thing was that my curtains were not closing completely. Important for the hotel to pay attention to those small things and rectify promptly.

I haven't stayed at the Movenpick Hotel Amman yet. But, I had an opportunity and pleasure to have a dinner at the restaurant Rumors in this hotel on the Christmas day 25 December 2019 during my business trip in Amman. For my taste, the restaurant's furniture arrangement and environment was a perfect place to relax after a busy working day. The view from the window was good too. The food and drinks variety was diverse and a guest can have many choices. Mr. Saeed Ishaqat, Director of Sales and Marketing and Mr. Yanal Alamiri, Front Office Manager kindly and warmly welcomed me and showed a hospitality, which is important for a guest. Moreover, the restaurant staff Fabulla was hospitable, communicable, welcoming and helpful to chose the meal and drink. It was such a nice, delicious and memorable Christmas dinner. I hope to stay at this hotel in the future, eat at Rumors restaurant again and meet those kind and hospitable staffs again. Because, for a guest like me, who goes to Jordan for a busy business trips always, hospitality of hotel staff and nice food is very important. I found both at Movenpick Hotel Amman. Thanks a lot everyone! Shukran jazeelan!

The hotel website says buffet for breakfast , lunch and dinner .
I only saw a poorly set breakfast buffet on some days .The breakfast buffet spread is very unwelcoming .

I have been to Aqaba movenpick and the breakfast buffet was amazing with so much food choices and self service ...here somehow even the guy behind the buffet counter serves as if he has been told to control how much he serves the guests .
I guess it’s pointless preparing buffet food when the hotel is not busy, but then it shouldn’t be on the website as false advertising.

They did give a 25% discount voucher to make up for no lunch & dinner buffet . This has to be used in the cafe on the 3rd floor but it doesn’t cut it because the menu is so restricted and the food just about okay , for the price .

The senate restaurant itself looked tired and badly needs an ambient up lift.

The room seemed a bit tired too but liveable.

The best aspect was probably front office/reception team and their willingness to help and accommodate with any issues with the room . And of course great location close to all amenities in the city centre.

I have stayed in 5 star hotels before, but somehow Movenpick Amman doesn’t meet the standards of a five star hotel .

I stayed in this hotel recently for a business purpose. Although this is claimed to be a 5 star hotel but the service was not at that level. Firstly, It took nearly 15 minutes for check in, though there was not a big crowd. when I entered the room there was a bad smell of sweats. It seemed like someone slept without taking shower. Secondly, the room service was also not satisfactory. I had to call 2-3 times to ask for complementary water and brushing kits. I requested for a non-smoking and it was actually a non smoking room but here was smell coming from the adjoining room. Normally Amman it known as having best internet service but the in internet was terrible. There is no room bell and door knocking from the neighboring rooms was disturbing me all the time. Furthermore, there is no mini bar. Overall, it was a bad experience. I gave 3 star as it has a nice infrastructure and facilities. Hope the management will read it and improve the service.

Our group spent 2 nights at Movenpick Amman (previously a Holiday Inn property) as part of a Gate 1 tour. Overall, the experience was average –not outstanding, certainly not 5-star but accommodations are clean and modern. First, there was a problem delivering luggage to the rooms (we found a large luggage cart unattended on an elevator); the steam room and spa was closed went I went at 7 pm (the only attendant in the fitness center was a male, which made me uneasy the way he walked into the ladies changing area), and while the hotel boasts 4 restaurants, the only dinner food being served was in the Rumors Lounge. I’m not sure if this is because it was off-season (end of January). Breakfast buffet in the Senate Restaurant was lovely though, and the morning we left early, the front desk arranged take-away breakfast boxes for us. There aren’t sidewalks from the hotel to the main road, but in daylight, we felt comfortable walking. Amman has Uber, so that is an option too.

I came back to Amman from London during the COVID-19 pandemic and was quarantined here for a week by myself. I have nothing but amazing things to say about the service here and the overall support the hotel staff provided during this time. Everything I needed was provided to me immediately from the reception, the gate, and the kitchen. I am a vegetarian and the kitchen staff ensured that my meals were suitable and catered for me. Thank you Movenpick Amman for this lovely stay (despite it being for quarantine reasons), more specifically, Yousef Ismail and Mohammad Abu Dughmeh. You’ve made this a much easier time!

Im at the hotel as a part of the quarantine measures after coming from abroad.
The rooms were clean and the staff were really helpful, especially the cabin staff member Othman and the receptionist Khalid, they keep calling asking if I require anything, where they could manage if its in their hands.

The hotel as a whole follows all the hygiene standards, and the rooms were well equipped with cleaning/sanitation items and chemicals.

Thanking your good service.

One of the reasons we had such an amazing time in Jordan!
We arrived in hotel after midnight, they were fast and even helped parking the car while we were being taken care off.
Also everyone helped us learning jordanian, especially Shereen and Eyad.
Woman in move health club(hotel included gym), was also really helpfull I think her name was Canifa.
My partner one day felt bad probably because we arrived late the day before and ate very little, i asked for an apple to a cleaning lady and she called someone and they called my partner and shortly after they brought to the room 2 apples with a fork and a knife.
I left my Passport dropped somewhere on the room and they even got it for me in a few minutes!

Accor needs to be informed about Hotels like Fairmont Hotel In Amman, who refused us as Diomand VIP members of Accor ,to use the swimming pool, with an entrance fee for a day, unless we book a room for a night.......
We thank the admin of Movenpick Amman. Mrs Shoushig

Is there a bus near-by that goes into the city centre?
Answer from Herb P
17 contributions9 helpful votes
I didn't take the city bus. The hotel has a special group (4) of taxi drivers that work for them. This is the best deal of all. For 15 dollars and hour, they take you anywhere, stay with you to shop, and other places of interest that you want and even provide interpretive services, if needed, and haggling skills that are great to get you the best deal. That is 15 dollars (all inclusive) which includes gas, taxi, and special guide. I have never see a deal like that in all my travel. My wife fell in love with him, thank goodness he didn't have a green card, or maybe he should have? LOL.

How far is the hotel from the centre of Amman - say to the Citadel for example? Is it easy to walk?
Answer from Keith C

What people don't tell you, is that it is a very challenging experience to drive in Amman, especially in the morning and evening. Plan to drive on a religous day if possible, traffic is a lot lighter on those days. Makes a difference between 15 minutes and 45 minutes.
