Lovely view from my window and room so dirty and rundown you would think it is a 2-star in Paris. Room 313, and all studio rooms on the same floor pretty much have the same view. The service is terrible with people standing around chatting to themselves but not offering to help at all. People who rated this hotel 5 star must never knew true luxury.
In the heart of Tel Aviv you can find sn oasis with freah baked goods ,cake , breakfast and GREAT coffee. The bathroom is spotless, the staff speak several languages and service is with a smile !! The location is central.
We had to pick a hotel for Pesach having stayed at other in Tel Aviv in past years and the Royal Beach turned out to be a great choice. Rooms are very nice and the location couldn't be better. Pool is fabulous, working room nice and beach location excellent. We also appreciated the great concierge service. Our only gripe is with the parking where we had a rental car and there was no room in the valet, so it cost more than $80 per day to park in the garage under the hotel with no "in and out" privileges! This was shocking...
Disappointing. I was in TLV for a conference & booked a room here at the advice of colleagues. While the hotel is lovely, well located, & the rooms are well appointed - Mine had a little balcony/beautiful beach view - The service is abrupt & at times downright rude. After I checked in, my luggage was sitting in the lobby unattended, so I grabbed my bags to go to my room. The concierge stopped me, “what do you think you are doing?” I said “I’m taking my bags to my room”, & he said, “OK then best of luck to you”. There was no offer to assist with the bags; unusual for this caliber of hotel. For all the press about the spa here, I had maybe one of the worst massages of my life. When I arrived in the spa, the reception was very offputting. I completely undressed for the massage, as I normally do. When the therapist called my name, she started speaking Hebrew to me & I indicated I only speak English. She gave me a pair of paper underwear, which were extremely uncomfortable; She was insistent that I needed to wear them, so I had to go to my room for a pair of my own underwear. After arriving 20 minutes early, 10 minutes was deducted my service. When I asked for more pressure, she simply said this is not a deep tissue massage. So I paid it pretty high price to have her rub oil on me for 40min in a very un-relaxing experience. In hindsight, I would’ve skipped it all together. Additionally, at breakfast the second day I had a glass of juice that I wanted to take to the room to finish. The server chased me out of the restaurant yelling at me that I could not remove the glass from the restaurant. $500 a night and you can’t drink juice in your room? Ridiculous! I do want to say that Nikki at check-in, Avi at the door, and the staff in the lobby bar were exceptional. I will not stay here again when I travel to TLV , there are so many comparable options in the area for this price point.…
Let’s start with the positives. Hotel is well located off the main beach with most rooms having sea views. Rooms and common areas are modern and clean and lobby has a nice welcoming appearance. I did not use spa but others in our party did and had good things to say. Pool is as impressive as the pictures if not more so but was unfortunately closed in March. Breakfast buffet Which was Included in room could feed the whole country. Quality was very good. As far as the negatives. At times hotel felt like a zoo with multiple groups checking in and lobby having a ton of traffic. Glad to see that tourism business is coming back to Israel but the lobby sort of felt like a Vegas strip hotel on a weekend night. Difficult to get staff attention as there was always a line at reception,. Staff was however very accommodating when you were able to get their attention. The gym was small and disappointing with limited equipment. The biggest problem which was not necessarily the hotels fault was the challenge to in getting a taxi. Very limited taxis in Tel Aviv and no Uber. So it was always a 10-15 minute wait. Hotel staff did nothing to help alleviate this issue even though it had a full time door man outside. He was basically useless. Just sitting there watching everyone fighting to get a taxi. There was no one making an effort to bring taxis to the hotel or call for taxis or really do anything. You were kind on your own fighting with other guests to grab the first taxi you could find.. Overall hotel was nice and would stay again . But keep expectations reasonable This is not a luxury hotel. it is more along the line of a Marriott or Hyatt.…
