The hotel is brand new I believe we were one of the first gusts in the room.
The hotel is beautiful, very well designed, full of art all over, for me as an art fan it was amazing.
The bar & restaurants were great, we had a great dinner and breakfast. we used the gym which was very well equipped.
We stayed in a superior room which has a small balcony overall we had a great stay with good value for money.

This is by far the most invested in and thoughtful hotel I have been at, ever. Every detail, every piece of furniture, every picture on the wall, even the custom made metal work in the dining area - just wow. Loved the SPA, and the Pardes restaurant!

Beautiful modern hotel. It’s actually built as a club with a workspace. They want people to become members and this allows you to work there, invite people etc. This also allows entry to the restaurant, the pool, etc

The pool is quite small and a lot of young trendy people there. But difficult to find a place around the pool.
The room is beautiful and well equipped.
The restaurant is great and breakfast is one of the best in town

The George has potential but also a fatal flaw.

I stayed at the hotel for one night to celebrate my birthday, and as I entered my (beautifully designed) room, I was disappointed to see that they made no note of this. Literally not even a note. But ok, no big deal I guess.

Headed to the pool to find it absolutely PACKED. There was not a single place to sit. It was like the Hunger Games, with people desperately looking for a small piece of land to call their own.

The George which is also a members club has yet to figure out that if you let all of your members into the pool at the same time as your hotel guests, there’s just not gonna be enough room for everybody.

The waiters and bar crew were miserable trying to somehow deal with what seemed like at least 100+ people in a pretty small space.

I had asked room service to send my lunch to the pool, only to have to start a 40 minute long Sherlock Holmes like investigation when no one knew where my order was.

Spoiler: it was there the whole time sitting in a back room…

In short, until they figure things out, stay away.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear about the issues you experienced during your stay. It’s disappointing that we didn’t acknowledge your special occasion, and I apologize for the overcrowding at the pool and the trouble with room service. We’re currently reviewing our policies to improve guest experiences and better manage both hotel and club members’ use of our facilities. We appreciate your input and hope to have the chance to provide a better experience in the future. Best regards, Leenoy Barry Guest relation manager

We are a family of four, and are members of the George. While we appreciate many features of the property, we have faced some issues with the pool area rules for families with children.

Up until a week ago, there was no rule preventing children from being in the pool water or on the premises. A week ago, all members of the George received an email stating that children could not be in the pool water after 12:00 PM. Today, however, this was further updated to require all families with children to leave the pool premises entirely by 12:00 PM. A staff member just came to us and said that the rules have just changed and that we need to leave. This new rule is not stated anywhere in the terms and conditions of the hotel.

The frequent policy changes can be confusing for hotel guests and members, especially when hosting families visiting from abroad and have to modify their plans unexpectedly. It somewhat diminishes the enjoyment of the amenities for those of us with children. Additionally, families visiting should be aware that the hotel is not close to the beach, which is about 30-minute walk away. If you come with children, it's important to know that there is no nearby alternative, and you will need to travel a considerable distance to find another option when the pool is restricted.

The atmosphere sometimes feels a bit restrictive, although we understand the need for certain policies. For example, we were once told that our baby couldn't eat biscuits we brought because outside food isn't allowed. It would be wonderful if there were more flexibility or family-friendly accommodations to enhance our experience.

Overall, we enjoy many aspects the hotel and appreciate the services provided. However, we hope the management can consider making the pool area policies clearer and more accommodating for families.

Dear Adi, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this review. We are glad many of the features offered at The George were appreciated. Our main goal is to accommodate all of our members and guests, whether they arrive as singles, couples or families. To do this we made sure we have child-friendly hours at the pool, while still providing child free hours during the afternoon for those who seek relaxation. We continue to expand our offered services, both at the pool and at the rest of The George, and our menus for example have been altered to offer more options for our various guests and members. We're looking forward to your next visit at The George! Warm regards.

We loved every minute at the hotel. It was a home away from home . Great food , great ambience, great art. Helpful stuff and great amenities. Because the hotel is also a club whose members are mostly Israeli you get to interact and mingle with fashionable locals.
We will be back.

We had the most amazing weekend at the George ! we planned a one-night visit but after 24 hours had to book for an extra day. What did we love the most ? The attention to details, the art hanging all over the hotel, the coffee table books in every room, the
public spaces, the breakfast, the dreamy robs and towels , and most of all - the .personal attention of the staff. . we'll definitely be back for more
