Well located near the karakoy tram stop and quiet . Good WiFi and friendly checkin staff. I’ve stayed in two different double rooms. One we quite small and would struggle to have two suitcases. On my first night I had breakfast late and most food had gone and there was only 1 person looking after guests - the second day I had breakfast early and there was plenty - a good spread of things and proper coffee not Nescafé like in many other hotels. The rooms feit a bit dated and could do with a revamp also the bathroom tiles were too slippery and some of the towels had seen better days

Made the reservation through Booking.com, however and due to the heavy snow in Istambul, flights canceled and our group was delayed on its arrival.
Spoke directly with the hotel, the staff was unbelievably helpful and understanding.
Stayed at room 109.

Rooms were a bit beaten up ( some scratches, broken pieces on the bathroom sink...careless people related...HOWEVER everything worked perfectly ( hair dryer, shower, lights, plugs, air conditioning, etc..)
Breakfast at the top floor has a narrow but great view, and it was pretty good breakfast (good variety and taste)
We were a group of 11 people and we were all very happy.
Location is excelent.
Very close to Galata Tower, and a 4 minute walk to Galata Bridge.

Hints : the street is very inclined, so with ice/cold weather, could be a slip and slide, and not car friendly.

Economic rooms most likely will not have a window, but check with the hotel first.

Restaurant does not serve meals, only breakfast, but there is plenty of options around.

Due to the staff and the fact all our friends were happy for the price/quality ratio, i give a 5*.

I stayed here for 4 nights in total. The hotel is a 3 star hotel that has a great location and is in walking distance to most of the sightseeing areas. The hotel rooms were very comfortable and clean. The reception staff were very helpful with local restaurant recommendations and were also happy to organise laundry. Would stay here again. Good value for money.

Istanbul is a cacophony - traffic, people, call to prayer, just general city noise.

This hotel is in the middle of the Galata din, but is surprising quiet. I spent a week here. The location is perfect - close to Galata Bridge so a short walk across to The touristy old city area; close to Galata Tower and the famed Istiklal Caddesi (independence Avenue) and up to Taxim Square.

60% of Turkish smoke, including in their rooms, so there can be occasions when a room smells of smoke - but this is in all hotels. My room did not smell of smoke.

Breakfast is served on the top floor which provides an amazing view of Istanbul, and the breakfast has a very wide selection of foods.

Stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were greeted on arrival at reception desk and were offered Turkish tea which we gratefully received. Our room was compact but had everything we needed, including lots of complimentary items.
Breakfast was excellent and enjoyed being served on the small restaurant balcony. We had a very polite young man serve our breakfast every morning.
The hotel is in a superb location, up steps to Galata Tower and just around the corner from Galata Bridge. We did not need to use public transport the whole time we were in Istanbul.
'Book and Coffee' just around the corner from the hotel served excellent coffee and cakes.

We stayed here at the start and end of an Intrepid tour as this was their chosen hotel. This hotel is in serious need of an update. The carpet in the room looks like it has come out of a mechanic workshop. We were lucky and very thankful that we were able to be moved for some of our stay to a room without carpet which was a vast improvement although it also needed maintenance. Shower door extremely difficult to open/close. Air Con didn't work. Staff were friendly.
Overheard other customers also complaining to reception staff about standard of rooms. Whilst it is in a handy location, we would not stay again.

I had read reviews about the hotel (booked by the tour company I was joining for trip around Turkey), and was apprehensive. Pleasantly surprised when got into the room as on the surface looked okay but then on close inspection, found it be an illusion.

Very dirty surface on the table next to the bed (see pic), dangerous bathroom door handle, safe was not fixed so someone could come into the room and take it away (see scratches as other people like myself had to push it into the back of the wardrobe), fridge did not work (told staff but nothing done to fix/replace), shower was grubby. It's not a boutique/4 star hotel.

I had to get up at 5am to get to airport and unfortunately there was somewhere near by that was playing music till about 11.30pm (I was on the ground floor).

The hotel is pretty basic. The rooms are small, the one we had did not have any chairs to sit on, and there was barely any room for luggage.
We barely had warm water during a 4 night stay.
The breakfast is ok, the food is the same every day.
The location is good, close to Karakoy station of tram T-1 and within walking distance of Galata Tower, restaurants. There is a small convenience store close by for water, snacks, if you need any.
The staff was helpful, let us store the bags after check out and ordered us a cab for the airport.
However, I would not go back, I would pick a different hotel.

The breakfast is fantastic. A wide selection of foods from hot to cold dishes and pastries at the rooftop level. The rooms were ok though a refresh of the bathroom and carpets will make the rooms much better. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, probably the most important part. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

I think I did the same, they never reply to me as well if I can remember correctly. That's why it end up I never got the information that the road was closed during new year period and how to get their hotel that time.

Hello! From the hotel to the Galata Tower is about 8-10 minutes walk, but keep in mind that the streets are narrow and steep. To Istiklal Street and Tram nostalgia, walking is a bit far about 20-30 minutes or 700-800 meters. I hope I was helpful.
