I stayed for 12 days in this hotel. the room was very clean and they gave us a nice view of Hagia Sofia. the dining room was so nice, nice food
the staff was very helpful and super friendly they welcome you with a big smile on their face. and most of the staff speaks English
The only issue this hotel has is we have to walk for like 3-4 mins to get a taxi because there is no cars allowed in the street of the hotel. they said they are planning to get a golf car and i hope they will
when we arrived one of the staff came to the location of the taxi and helped us with our bags and direct us to the hotel and the same thing happen when we left the hotel
the location of this hotel is sooo good, and there is a tram "Street car" station next to it

This hotel is phenomenal! It has views of the Hagia Sofia from its bedrooms, and views of another historic mosque from its dining room. The staff speaks impeccable English, was obliging with a late-night check in, and genuinely seemed to care to about our experience (asking questions, in a polite way, about our family). Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough: it has one of the best views I've ever seen of a streetscape, and it's definitely underpriced considering the views. Staying here is a must!

P.S., the tea and Turkish delight are perfect additional touches!

Ottoman hotel imperial is a secret place in the heart of old town. I immensely enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I suggest the Ottoman imperial hotel to all those who are looking for a sense of tranquility in the heart of the buzzing chaos of Sultanahmet. Its refined and minimalist decoration along with its view secret garden welcoming staff and delicious breakfast will take you to another Istanbul that will be kind to your soul. You can also visit Heritage nomadic art Gallery gift shop just right next to the hotel Good price nice owner I think they are the most HONEST dealers in Istanbul

When I arrived, the receptionist decided to give us a different room to the one I paid for (I know this as I had booked this very room last year when I came). When I got to the room I stated that was not the room I booked and that I was given the wrong room (to mention, he took full payment of the room I booked and gave me room that was a different rate). The porter contacted receptionist and they had a conversation that went on a for a couple minutes or more. After this I was then given the room I booked. This is of poor standards and had I not known about the room from last year, I would have been given a room which I didn't book and paid much more for this room. Is this what happens to paying guests? I questioned it hence why I was then given my room. What if someone didn't question or knew that the room was incorrect? This is by far a poor standard.
Further more, I always would go to the lobby and have turkish tea but when I went with my wife the one tim, one of the staff members decided to charge me for two turkish teas? I paid for this as it was late and was very tired. I've been here previously and drank many teas but after being told I'm being charged I felt it was wrong. I questioned this and was told this is how it is now. Utterly appalling and a real shame

Had a very nice experience. The staff is very friendly and the hotel beautiful. It is right next to Hagia Sofia which is another plus point. The breakfast is very good too, with a beautiful view. If you wish to visit, i would recommend that you get a deluxe room rather than the standard one which is just too small to use.

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon for a few days last October.

Located steps from the Hagia Sophia (Aya Sofia), this hotel is situated in the heart of the old city. It was the perfect base of operations to see and explore the city. It's also not far from the Sultanahmet transit station, so you are about 5m from the water front, and about 5m from the grand bazaar.

The staff was very professional and polite. The spoke english very well, and took care of everything. The restaurant was a welcome retreat from The City; nestled just above the sight lines of the busy street below, simultaneously in the heart and above the action.

Our room in the first floor looked out onto Hagia Sofia so great start.

Staff all friendly and attentive. And very helpful when our airport taxis couldn’t get to us.

Breakfast was fine, bread and cheeses and option for cooked eggs depending on taste

Clean and decent size rooms

Biggest selling point is its location, assuming like us you’re a tourist, the main sights you want to see are all close walking distance and the tram is close by too

As you’re so close to Hagia Sofia remember to take some ear plugs as the 4.00am call to prayer is right outside your window. After the first time you hardly notice it.

Definitely would recommend this hotel to any friends that were to travel to Istanbul so I think that says it all.

We were in Istanbul for four nights and this was a fantastic base for us. It is right in the heart of Sultanahmet, literally across a small laneway from the Hagia Sophia within very easy walking distance of the main sights, and easy distance to public transportation, which we used successfully. It is on a pedestrian street, off the main thoroughfares, which is really lovely. The value for money is excellent; we found it one of the best priced/highest rated hotels in the area and the included breakfast was very good. The staff were fantastic. We were a bit "needy", seeking advice about money and local transportation and taxi service to the airport etc., and the staff were always extremely helpful and patient with us. Being so close to all the main sights was perfect for us, but keep in mind that all of the mosques do a call to prayer several times a day, so if you are a light sleeper, you might want to ask for a room on the side of the hotel that does not face Hagia Sophia. (The call to prayer will be a factor anywhere in Sultanahmet).

Wonderful hotel to stay in when in Istanbul..
It is a very old hotel, so the room did look dated, but for me that wasn't an issue..

What counts for me is the quality of service in any establishment..
And here the staff are genuinely kind and caring..
One possible downside of this hotel is its proximity too Hagia Sofia..
And the very early call to prayer in the morning, at around 04.00hrs..
So if your room is facing it as ours was, then that's a shock to one's system..

Breakfast is buffet style and when we stayed recently the plates were already prepared and wrapped in cellophane at each table..

Tea& coffee is also served..
If you would like an omelette or other egg format, staff will take your order..

As I say, this is an old establishment and therefore it's dated accordingly..
But it's a very clean hotel..

There is a good restaurant attached to this hotel..
We ate here twice and very much enjoyed the food..
I would suggest you do book a table in advance should you wish to eat here at anytime during your stay .
Especially at weekends at its not a big restaurant but seems well patronated by locals...

Stayed for a few days in July. On arrival our allocated room 602 was unacceptable (small and noisy) but a change was easily done by duty manager. Breakfast was a disappointment - plate of cold meat, cheese and bread roll shrink wrapped in plastic with eggs as only other option. We never ate there. It just looked not very good with no one or very few there. Location is great. If you get a good room and eat out your onto a winner

The closest one I know of is the Ayasofya Hurrem Sultan Hamam. It is perhaps 200 meters from the hotel in front of Hagia Sophia.

Hotel does not provide that but there are various travel agencies provide such services at a very reasonable prices. 7 ofis travelling paid £64 in total for both way journey. We found that very reasonable. Vehicle were very spacious and clean. Pre book your travels..Allow atleast 60 to 90 minutes travel time allowing for unexpected traffic. All the best and enjoy Istanbul..
