The Hotel is best for family who looks for 3star hotel. The management and staff always give extra mile service to the visitors like us. Very Clean and nice Hotel near to all tourist spots in Istanbul. The place is next to supermarkets and small restaurants where you can buy all your daily needs during the stay.

A great experience of living in a quiet neighbourhood away from the bustling taksim area. Both the owners elha and varun were hospitable and friendly. The hotel is accessible by both tram and bus as stations were close by the hotel. Breakfast was free , good & freshly made.

8 friends stayed here for 5 nights in October. We were made very welcome by the family who own the small hotel, especially Vural, who's English is excellent. Rooms were clean and quite spacious with a useful fridge too. Bathrooms good although one room had a bit of a pong. The weather turned cold and we were immediately given quilts and the heating switched on. Breakfast, typically Turkish with the addition of omlettes and superb fresh bread. Unlimited coffee or tea and each time we returned to the hotel Vural made us coffee free of charge. He was most helpful, especially in organising transfers to and from the airport for us at a cheaper rate than I could find anywhere on the Internet. A great addition to the large entrance and breakfast room was a small parrot whose antics were a delight as he flew around in the afternoon, perching on the rear of the tv or a large jar and chattering away to everyone. Everywhere was very clean. It was easy to catch a local bus to get into he old town, or walk there along the riverside paths.

I stayed here from 29 June until 4 July 2013. The location is good. It takes 30 minutes to Eminonu and 20 minutes to grand bazaar on foot. It is located around 100 meters from the main street. When you cross the main street, you can see the view of the sea. I really like the location. Vural, the owner of the hotel,is a very helpful man. You can ask him anything about the places in Istanbul and how to get there. he will give you all the answers. And the people who help him running the the hotel are friendly and helpful too although they don't speak much English. The room is clean and the ventilation is good. The room is cleaned everyday and your towels will be changed everyday. The internet runs well. You can have your clothes washed. The transfer from the hotel to airport is not expensive, Vural can arrange it for you.The price of the hotel is considerably cheap. I would like to stay in this hotel in my next visit to Istanbul.

We've stayed in Lotus hotel for 5 days in April 2013. Rooms were nice and tidy. The owner Vural was extremely helpful and friendly. This was our very first trip to Istanbul and we were very nervous, but as soon as we checked in Vural(owner) showed us all the important places on the map and explained how to get there, and we didn't even ask for help yet:^)! Location is nice, not too far from the tramway and not too close for all the noises that accompany it. The only noise that might displease you would be the is the muezzins call for prayer from the speakers, cause they are located somewhere close.
All in all, we really enjoyed the stay and Vural(owner) did everything to make us feel welcomed guests.
We will definitely stay here next time we visit Istanbul.

We´ve stayed at Lotus for four nights in April 2013.
Rooms were new clear, location is a about cca 20 minutes walk to Hagia Sophia and another attractions.
Stuff is very friendly, kind and helpful – especially Vural who is running this place. The neighbourhood is friendly and very traditional – opposite to TAKSIM so if you want to rest in a really traditional but safe location this is the right place. You can find 2 small supermarkets, and lots of BUFEs around, so there is no problem to get food and drinks all the time.
The WIFI is working well on both top floors. Breakfast is served every morning, its easy but nice.
It’s not far from Ataturk Airport, however we arrived at Sabiha Gokcen Airport (about 50 km from Hotel) and took the transfer which was offered to us from the Lotus Hotel. The transfer was an easy way to get to the Hotel and was not expensive too (cca 52 € for six persons).
Only thing which could be a little annoying is the muezzins call for prayer at 6.30 am every morning from the speakers which are located just opposite of the hotel.
I would definitely recommend this place to a couple or a group of young people who just pay a visit to tremendous city Istanbul.

The Ritz it isn't so don't go there if that's what you're looking for. BUT don't be put off by the hotel's basic appearance, it's in a most interesting part of old Istanbul, scruffy little roads and buildings, small shops and places to eat. Walk up the hill to the fascinating Fatih mosque complex and see it all. Easy to get to the tourist parts of Istanbul by bus (you need a swipe card not cash) or taxi or on foot. Vural, the owner, and partner extremely pleasant and helpful and ready to get a much needed coffee at the end of an exhausting sightseeing day. He has recommendations for eating places and visits too. Beds comfortable and clean. Resident little parakeet entertaining. No lift so suitable for nimble adaptable people who prefer not to stay in sanitised city-centre type accommodation.

Hello. Here is the direction to get to the hotel by public transportation from Atatürk airport ; Underneath the airport there is a metro station. First you should get on line (M1) and get off the last station which is called ''yenikapı''. After that you should get on another metro line which is ( M2). You should get off the second stop which is ''Haliç''. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Haliç metro station. we are located 500 meters behind Kadir Has University. You can find the way by google maps. Diections from SAW airport; You can take Havataş bus to Taksim. If you get to taksim square, there is an underground bus station. You need to get on bus number 55T and get off the 7th stop which is Ayakapı. IT is one stop after Kadir Has University . from Ayakapı bus stop our hotel is 5 minutes away by walk.
