Booked a room for a couple and teen. Sofa bed provided for the teen is not comfortable.
Staff doesn't speak English and it's difficult to interact with them.
No restaurant around to eat. Historia mall is just 5 mins drive away but sometimes the taxi guys don't want to take you as the ride is not worth it.

We had a very nice time whilst staying at this hotel. We booked 3 rooms as our 2 adult boys and my elderly father were with us. All the staff including at reception, breakfast, cleaning, were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the AC definitely works. They turn the AC down centrally from about 3am to 6am so we just left the windows open for that time and it was just fine. If you visit Istanbul in August it will be somewhat hot and humid but the rooms were not unbearable in any way. The lobby and the 'breakfast restaurant' have a grand feel and breakfast was plentiful and very varied with cereals, fruits and hot breakfast. The pool was great with sunloungers and towels always available. The hotel is 2mins walk from Metro station and you can get to all tourist areas within 20mins. It was lovely to come back to the open spaces of this area after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is not close to restaurants so we ended up eating at hotel some evenings which was fine. Overall for the money we paid, this hotel is great value for money.

I stayed at this hotel August 8th-13th, 2022 (5 nights).

I am happy with the stay, it was nice and charming.

The style of the hotel and the rooms is very nice, personnel is gentle and polite, ready to help at all times. The breakfast is very reach and there are a lot of choices, actually this can be "dangerous" for people who would like to be on a diet :) Really, very nice one.

The hotel is also conveniently located near a metro station, so you can reach most of the attractions easily.

Especially I would like to mention the spa salon and the facilities. I took several massages there in the evenings. It was a great experience! Both reception personnel and the masseurs ladies, mostly from Far East countries, are very polite, pro-active, gentle, and do everything to make your happy.

In short, I very much liked the hotel and I would definitely recommend it!

For improvement points I would mention two things:

1) It would be better to have stronger air conditioning in the rooms, especially for very hot summer months like August. But I must say that in general I am a very cold-loving person, so my opinion here might not be objective, it could deviate from average

2) It would be great if the gym would work 24 hours and would have an air conditioning as well. Again, I must say, for me it was probably more important than for others, as I run constantly (every other day) for about 11 km

But, again, even with these two points to improve, I have a great experience and memories from the hotel! Thanks!

When I have book this hotel there is mentioned the No of Facilities and when I have check in at this hotel all facilities are on extra charges even a bottle of water and if you need any thing you will need to wait for 1 hour to 2 hours. There is no one taking responsibility about these things. This is not a five star hotel. The services are poor than 3 star hotels.

My niece & I have just returned from The Akgun Istanbul Hotel. When we arrived late in the evening we were informed that our room was not available so we would have to stay at the hotel next door. It was obvious that it was over booked so a room wasn't available until the next day after 8.30am. Most of the staff were very surly, not very helpful at all. Although there was a breakfast included they didn't cater for english visitors, it catered for the Turkish. The only hot food acceptable at breakfast was boiled eggs. The beds were very uncomfortable, the pillows were even worse. The so called air conditioning was almost none existent, it was switched off completely at 10pm. The traffic outside was so noisy it was impossible to sleep with the window open so we just had to sweat all night. There were only two pleasant & helpful members of staff, the lady who was on the reception desk & Vutal one of the waiter's in the resaurannt. I would like to thank both of them for their efforts.
This hotel is definitely not five star. It is on an extremely busy four lane each way road, you take your life in your hands if you try to cross outside or walk quite a way to cross safely a traffic lights. My advice is don't bother booking this hotel...STEER CLEAR.

This is the worst 5 star hotel ever! I am begging you all to please not waste your money on this hotel. First of all. We booked 2x deluxe bedroom for 14 days. The rooms were very old. The bathroom door was broken en the bathtub was very dirty and had mold everywhere. The airco was very old and didn’t work at all. My bed was broken and I had to sleep the other side of the bed, because they wouldn’t fix it or give me another room. The matress had pee and bloodstains all over it. I have been to the reception 3 times a day and each time they would promise me to fix the room, but they wouldn’t.
We would get 1 towel for three persons each day after cleaning. I had to call the reception EVERY DAY. This is not a five star hotel. The rooms are so dirty. And the breakfast is always finished by 9am. The location is near a metro and a hospital. You don’t have any shops or restaurants nearby, so we were very bored in the night.

Please don’t waste your money on this dirty hotel. I have made videos and pictures of everything wrong with this hotel.

The furnishings were antiquated and worn, with visible signs of age and neglect. The bed, in particular, was uncomfortable and seemed well past its prime, offering little in the way of support or comfort. The linens were threadbare and the pillows lumpy, making for a restless night's sleep. Adding to the discomfort was the pervasive sense of dirt and grime that permeated the room. Stains adorned the carpet, walls, and upholstery, serving as a stark reminder of the room's lack of cleanliness. The bathroom, in particular, was a sight to behold, with mold and mildew rampant and fixtures in need of repair. In conclusion, the condition of the room was abysmal, failing to provide even the most basic level of comfort and hygiene expected from a hotel of any caliber.
The dining experience at this hotel left much to be desired. Despite high hopes for a satisfying culinary experience, the reality fell far short of expectations. The food, purportedly cooked to order, lacked freshness and flavour. Dishes arrived lukewarm and seemed hastily prepared, leaving a lingering sense of disappointment. The menu, while extensive, failed to deliver on its promises, with lacklustre presentations and uninspired flavours. Even simple dishes like fried eggs were overcooked and lacking in taste. Dining atmosphere was underwhelming, with little attention to detail and a noticeable lack of passion in the kitchen. In summary, the food at this hotel was a letdown, failing to live up to the standards expected of a reputable establishment.
Overall, my experience with both the food and room at this hotel was deeply disappointing. From the lacklustre culinary offerings to the dismal state of the accommodations, every aspect of my stay fell short of expectations. I would strongly advise against choosing this hotel for anyone seeking a satisfactory hospitality experience.

Locaation is perfect next to a metro station where you can take a train to any part of the city. The hotel has a private parking so you can leave the car. Fatma was taking care of our rooms that were very clean. Serdan was very nice host who was
always there. Bed sheets were changed and rooms were maked up every day. Breakfast was just awsome. The hotel staff was very kind and they did everything for us to be confort and to have a pleasant stay. Hope to see you again!

this is a true 5 star hotel, beautiful lobby area with really attentive reception team.
Close to the main attractions but right on a main road so taxis are happy to go there whereas they are reluctant to go to hotels nearer the attractions due to the traffic.

Its also just a few meters from the subway,

It has a nice skybar on the top floor and, also a good restaurant, indeed the breakfast buffet was spectacular, it had pretty much everything, even down to honey on a honeycomb from the hive, absolutely fantastic.

The rooms are exceptionally clean and the whole hotel sparkles.

Only issue was room service always forgot something absolutely every time i ordered, but nothing major.

All in all a great stay, happy to recommend.

Very low quality hotel.
Not worth the money.
Shower Water pressure is too low.
Rooms temperature is too hot in August and air conditioning can not handle lowering the temperature.
Room service never deliver stuff you request.
Location is not good. No attractions close by.
Our room view is vacant land.
Swimming pool close at 6:30pm which is just about the time you need to relax after a day of sightseeing to relax.
Reception is friendly though.
