i chose this hotel according to location and the brand
I was not disappointed and it was perfect value for money as i paid 48USD per night for a superior deluxe room double bed and I was not disappointed
It seems that the hotel was either new or renovated especially the 7th floor which we stayed in.
The front desk staff were very helpful and spoke English
The room was more than good especially the free drinks in the minibar which were nonalcoholic but I discovered that this is only present in the upgrade rooms
The bed was nice and neither hard nor soft

The room had a few cons
1-The AC was not very good and took a long time to cool the room as it was warm in mid October
2-There was a terrace but its door was broken and we couldnt open it apart from 1 inch only...I didnt inform the hotel as they would take some time to fix it and we were not prepared to stay in the room and wait for them.
3-as we noticed in some hotels around the world the minibar cooling power was so weak and it took ages to cool a can or bottle of water.
I do like to to thank the cleaning lady in the 7th floor who was so polite and smiling all the time unlike the lady in the 2nd floor where my daughter stayed as she was rude
I found it a good idea from the hotel to make breakfast optional and you only pay when you actually have breakfast especially the breakfast was ultrabasic and there were dozens of choices around the hotel but do not try the candy cafe beside ithe hotel as the breakfast was not up to the place
All in all a good hotel especially the location in front of the tram station
certainly my destination in my next istanbul trip

Ramada by Wyndham is conveniently located in the Old city close to great restaurants, shopping and is in an extremely safe area. Even though it is in a very busy location we could see the busy streets from our room until midnight, we did not hear any noise in our room from the streets. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They have a vast breakfast spread of freshly cooked items, along with tea, coffee, juices, milk, yogurt. I will definitely stay there again.

Was given a double room on the third floor. The room was clean and well maintained and the reception desk were very helpful. Sultana (room cleaner) looked after my room and always made sure that the room was turned over every morning when I left; she would always ask when I would be coming back so that she made sure the room was completed. The gym wasn't that great. There was a treadmill and some dumbbells but I wouldn't rely on it. It is very humid down there because of the hammam that is next door. I got a massage and it was reasonably priced if you ask for the price in Turkish Lira. What I loved about this place is that there is a T1 tram stop outside with good links with L1 so you can get to Taksim (20 minute ride). Tram line goes to the Blue Mosque, Haga Sofia, the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar.

I have been in several hotels of istanbul and non of them was that bad.. you should ask for every thing that hotel MUST give to rooms. You have to wait and see that how they cleaning rooms because first they clean other rooms that check out and you cant believe that at 4 pm our room wasn't clean!!!! We have been waited for tea like 15 minutes and we didn't get it at all. The cleaning isn't good the blankets were full of hair, the floor was sticky, the table is completely dirty.
The breakfast was the worst one that i ever ate in my whole life they stairs at you to get plate and it was funny they have omelet station but you have to pay for any kind of egg that you want. I propose to them that visit some high quality hotels and learn a lesson to how managed a hotel!
I chose this hotel because if excellent review but I'm very sorry for those people who give this hotel high rate... this hotel doesn't have any minimum standards it hardly is one star not 4 star!!!!

+ points:
• 2 bottles of complimentary for each day of stay. Although I noticed that locals drink water from the tap as well
• Great location, tram station (Fındıkzade) is across the street & major attractions are only 6-7 stations away.
• Staff speaks English (which is rare thing except if you’re in Grand Bazaar)
• They have 3 in 1 soap shampoo conditioner to save on wastage. There’s no body lotion though, not even if asked
• Super market Carrefour is just 1 shop down if you need any essentials. Open 6am till midnight
• Fact that hotel is moving towards sustainability was also evident that lobby area had sensor based lighting. It would switch off if not in use
• Room has a USB charging point in case your phone charger doesn’t fit socket.
• peace of mind that I am safe at the property is the biggest reason that I went with this property & it met that expectation

minus points
• ok I get it that we all are working towards sustainability. But a ripped cover on Iron table? For a €85/night stay room?
• The bed side switch board needed a fix. I inserted a plug & the socket disappeared into the wall. I had to rescue both the socket & my appliance plug
• Probably law requires that the window does not open beyond half ajar. At least the label said so but the hook was broken & it was possible to fully open all 3 windows
• The foot peddle of the dustbin in bathroom was not functioning. So you use your hand to open the bin.
• Mold on bathroom floor tiles & corners. Thankfully I was carrying my bathroom slippers that I put on during shower. I really can’t understand how branded hotels have such molds.
• Internet says I can buy Istanbul metro card (Instabulkart) for 13TL (comes without any credit). I inquired at the hotel & they said their guy will get it for me in 5min. It’s for standard price of 50TL. They could have been upfront saying it’s hotel convince fee.
• The front office Sr staff didn’t miss on reminding (twice) to leave great review because "it matters to the staff". I think this made me find time to write this review.

A pleasant stay at this hotel. On arrival the check in process was easy, we were even given vouchers for free beers and soft drinks from the bar, as well as a voucher for a complimentary buffet-breakfast the next morning. In addition to this, we received a bowl of fruit in our room. All these small touches go a long way.
The location is good, it's slightly away from the main attractions but right outside the door there are bus and tram stops which will take you to wherever you want to go and the metro station is also a short walk away.
The rooms are fresh and modern and cleaned to a very high standard, in our case it was Ms Nilüfer ( thank you!)
All in all is definitely return to stay again.

Such comfortable beds , the staff service is absolutely fantastic, the moment you need anything they are there . I can’t thank Our house keeper ipek enough, she was constantly around cleaning our rooms and ensuring we have well kept with water, towels, etc , even while my mother and I both had surgeries and were bed ridden , ipek would come in clean make sure everything is at our hands reach , top up on water bottles and continue on with her job in the other rooms. So greatful for ipek the staff were sure to be at our at our service within a phone call , they kept me comfortable with as many pillows as requested. Their breakfast bar was just perfect, the chiefs in there don’t stop cooking to ensure everyone has enough to eat and more ! I would definitely come back here again and most definitely recommend this place, to anyone coming to this side of Istanbul. The warm welcomes at the lobby, breakfast buffet, and all around the building sure do make you feel like home.

Very good option in a good location for this side of town.
We arrives here on two occasions through a booked tour and were pleasantly surprised. First time we got a room facing the main avenue, where noise can start to be an issue but to compensate the rooms are spacious. Second time we asked for a room facing the other side and there noise is practically none so we slept much better, although space is much smaller.
Personnel are very friendly and efficient, specially our kind housekeeper, Serife, who left the small room in perfect conditions every day.
Note that the “gym” is very very small, but when visiting this great city you can get your workout just by walking all around!

Very welcoming
I arrived at 6 am in the morning and they had my room ready .. you can imagine how happy I was😊. As an African black woman traveling alone for the first time to Turkey, I felt safe and at ease and there was no need to use my protective gears I travelled with incase of anything. the rooms are very clean and comfortable and they respect your privacy. It’s in the middle the town so accessing the train or bus or taxi is easy . Night walks are safe and you’re able to access food or tea or coffee at anytime of the day and upto midnight.
The two young gentle men Yusuf and Yigit at the reception are very polite and helpful and the cleaning lady too….
Any African lady traveling alone or with family . This hotel is highly recommended
Basically I enjoyed my 1st ever solo trip at this hotel

I’ve been here a week now and I’ve had an outstanding experience, first off the entire facility is so clean and I want to give a special shout out to Ms. Nilufer, she has made sure all of our belongings stay safe, she’s cleaned the room spotlessly each day and always goes out of her way to ask us if there is something in particular we need or if she could help us with anything. Another person who made our stay at the Ramada exceptional is, Samet, at concierge, he has been so accommodating and helpful throughout our entire stay, everyday he would go out of his way to help us find a taxi and speak to them directly to make sure we are taken care of, he knew I got sick one of the days while on holiday and would check up on my mother and I frequently. We felt so safe and comfortable here with all the staff, but especially with these two individuals. Thank you for making our stay at this hotel so amazing!! 10/10 recommend

Hi, The hotel can arrange for your airport transfer, you can enquire about the fare from the hotel itself. The fare would be expensive. I would therefore advise you to take the Portokali taxi from the airport which would be cheaper. You can also take the bus from the airport which will drop you within 5 minutes walk to the hotel. The bus would be more economic and suitable if you do not carry heavy luggage. Wishing you an enjoyable holiday.

Taxi from airport to Ramada old city how much should we pay

Greetings, I'm sorry I can't give you a good answer. I googled the Istanbul transit system and found that the trip from airport to the Ramada was pretty simple. So, from the airport I took the train and tram, just one change. The public transportation is efficient and not very crowded. At the airport the taxi guys were saying that I would need to take five trains; that was a lie. Enjoy your stay in Istanbul.

Hi, Imra. I'm sorry, I have no idea about the local spa in the down town. For local shops, yes indeed there are a lot of local shops around the hotel. From walking distance or take the trem only 10 minutes. Also easy to get restaurant or cafe. Have a nice vacation
