Levni Hotel & Spa sits in a prime central location that receives high marks from guests for its convenience and safety. While the hotel's service is often praised for its attentiveness and the cleanliness of the rooms is commended, some guests have called out issues with room size, noise, and occasional lapses in housekeeping. The amenities and comfort of the rooms are acknowledged positively, yet there are mixed feelings about value, with some services considered overpriced and the luxury experience not always meeting expectations.

Hotel Levni in Istanbul is great! The location is close to Topkapi, Blue Mosque and Haya Sophia, the "old European part of Istanbul. As accommodation you have a swimming pool, sauna, possibly supplementary with possible massage (including hot stone) by appointment, roof terrace with beautiful views of the Bosphorus and possibility to have dinner or a drink there in the evening! In short, great! The hotel Levni is also close to a tram stop with easy access to the city, although we did a lot of walking.
Breakfast...amazing! Fresh fruit, Turkish specialties, cereals, charcuterie, cheeses, whatever you wish, the staff serves you with a smile.
Not unimportant, the room of course. You live outside during the day, but once you arrive "tired" - after all the sights - you will enjoy a spacious, airy, fresh (air-conditioned) beautifully decorated comfortable room with a spacious adjacent neat bathroom. The food is prepared with the necessary love and finesse, both the quick bite and 4-course lunch, as well as dinner on the rooftop terrace. And then...the staff...each hotel only had one Mr. Nural. This devilish organizer wants everyone in his team. Friendly, obliging, gives you explanations both on a map and with a sketch, gives useful tips, arranges excursions and helps you where he can! This applies to the entire staff, from breakfast service to the chambermaid, maintenance technicians and lobby staff. To the “patron” or “The Boss”, these are people to cherish! Simply great staff, always an infectious, smooth friendliness! Thanks for the Hospitality!

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay here. Location is excellent - 10 minute walk to the main touristy area and felt very safe walking to and from the hotel. The breakfast was lovely, with lots of variety. There was a gentleman with long grey hair (sorry, didn't catch his name) who was amazing and incredibly helpful. Generally, the staff were very friendly.
However, we had an issue with one staff member on reception which made for a very poor start to our holiday. We had booked and paid to stay for 2 nights (Saturday and Sunday) but ended up having to add an additional night at the beginning to also stay the friday night (due to flight cancellation). We didn't arrive at the hotel until 5am and the gentleman at reception was then extremely unhelpful and argumentative, telling us we hadn't paid for the original 2 nights (despite us providing confirmation that we had). This was really the last thing we needed after being awake for over 20 hours. The next morning we spoke to another staff member, who rectified the situation within 30 seconds.
A few other small issues - the aircon was not effective, the rainfall shower didn't work (meaning the working shower was about 3 feet off the floor so very had to be held), the safe did not work and you had to pay for wifi.

Amazing experience with family on a part exploring and spiritual journey in Istanbul. Beautiful mosques and zyrats. The hotel itself is clean, tidy, and up to date with everything. Breakfast restaurants are amazing with all the options you can think of. Our 2 rooms were family and also connected, which always helps with kids. The staff are very courteous, professional, and helpful. Ahmed in reception has been amazing, providing useful information regarding local site information. The spa area is really spacious with pool sona, etc. The rooms are cleaned regularly and topped up with coffee tea etc and rooms also have a fridge. There is a local supermarket and pharmacy close by 2 min walk. The showers are powerful with hot water, unlike other hotels, and everything works with a safe for your personal belongings. The room also has a tv kettle, etc. The local people are very courteous, and there are local mosques nearby. The blue mosque is a 10 min walk. Overall my family and I have really enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend everyone to come and stay at the levni as I will definitely be coming back inshAllah. Superb thankyou to Ahmed and all the levni staff and DREAM CAPITAL who organised our trip especially Jabbar Haroon and Mohammed Danish. Jzk

I am staying in this hotel as I write this review. I am not a happy camper.

The rooms are tiny. The toilet is extremely claustrophobic. If you are overweight in any way, find another hotel or be prepared to use the public bathroom in the street because you will not fit on the toilet seat. It is also an acrobatic feat to actually enter the toilet area. The door of the toilet opens toward the bathtub, meaning you have to tuck in your stomach in order to get past the door and in and out of the toilet. The bathtub is old and elevated, such that you have to step up and into the bathtub in order to shower. The shower overhead in the bathtub does not work, meaning you have to utilize the hand shower apparatus. The sink is another issue. When washing my hands, I have to hold my hands to the very side because the sink faucet is at the very side of the sink. And the sink and the room are separated by a mirror instead of anything substantive. The TV channels are not organized in a way that makes any sense. The hotel has two entrances and two receptions, along with multiple entrances that make no sense. You will likely have to search for and find the relevant reception when you first arrive.

At breakfast the staff were either arguing or chatting loudly, and then they started playing with the lights. And then when I sternly asked, “Folks, is there a problem with the lights?”, they all got a bit uncomfortable and went back to work. I am sorry for being cranky, but I had just woken up at 6:30am and wanted to have breakfast in a peaceful and quiet environment.

The elevators do not work unless you finger the buttons vigorously in a way that would make a normal person uncomfortable.

At the end of the day, the location is fantastic, the rooms are relatively clean, and the front desk is very friendly. But I feel the little details of the hotel were designed with one question in mind: “How can we make our guests as uncomfortable as possible?”

If you get bargain basement prices and need a hotel in this area, the hotel is acceptable for a solo traveler. None of my complaints are motivating me to switch hotels in any way. I only use the room to sleep if I am being honest.

We stayed at the Levni Hotel & Spa as a family and it was a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel is perfect: it is very close to many attractions and has excellent public transport links. This meant that we could easily explore the city while also having a quiet oasis to relax.

One outstanding member of staff is Mr. Hüseyin. Every hotel needs a Mr. Hüseyin! He was always on hand to help us with any questions or concerns. With his courteous manner and extensive knowledge of the area, he really enriched our stay.

We would also like to give special praise to the super nice and tidy cleaning lady Gülay. She always cleaned our room immaculately and was always friendly and helpful. Her commitment and friendliness made our stay even more pleasant.

The reception was also fantastic. The staff were always friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome from the start.

The breakfast buffet was wide-ranging and offered a large selection of delicious food. We were particularly impressed by the fact that fresh omelettes were prepared in front of us on request. That was a special treat!

Not to be forgotten is the hotel's beautiful roof terrace, which offers a breathtaking view of Istanbul. Sitting there and looking out over the city was an absolute highlight of our stay.

Overall, our stay at the Levni Hotel & Spa was excellent. We felt completely at home as a family and will certainly come back. If we are in Istanbul again, we will definitely book this hotel again. Many thanks to the entire team for the great service!

With love,
The Köktas family

Very good location, very close to the metro, a street with many places to eat. About 10 minutes walk from the main tourist sites. It is an old building, as normal for its situation but is very well renovated.

The room was a bit small, but the worst part was the air conditioning that was spoiled and it got cold inside the room. We didn't say anything at reception because we didn't use the room anymore than to sleep.

The WiFi without a password, and practically without a signal...good thing we went with data, because with the WiFi of the hotel you could not do anything.

Arriving very kindly they explained something of interest.... and they climb us to the roof so that we can see the views of the Bosphorus (not bad)... and try to book us for dinner there because it fills up. When we arrived at the room we saw that it was 70 € per person. Of course we did not book any days.

On arrival they did not do or intend to take us to the room, but the day we were leaving they insisted on taking them to the Taxi... we did not tip them, we found it too cheeky.

At breakfast there was a very fair variety, and more than a day we had to get up for coffee or some silverware because the waiters would talk to each other and everything happened. True, the waitresses were much more attentive.

We did not see anyone speak Spanish, but it is true that in English they are very well understood.

The kindest and most attentive was the woman who made the room, the only one we left tipped.

TV has Amazon. And Prime, but since WiFi is not impossible to connect to it. And more than a day I wasn't even on TV in general.

We stayed three nights and were very impressed with the hotel. Our executive room was large and comfortable. However the bath was flush against the wall with the shower over the bath. There were no handles to help you in or out so not good for those who are less mobile. Also the towel rail was on the far wall so to hang up the towels after a shower you would have to get into the bath to do so.

The breakfast food was diverse and tasty. The rooftop terrace has superb views but the food is very overpriced. However there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

The location for walking to the main sites or getting around on public transport is very good.

For a first time in Istanbul, it's an unforgettable stay spent with girls. The Levni Hotel is very well located in the Fatih district and close to the main tourist places to visit in the old city, the metro is just a stone's throw away.
The rooms are pleasant and large: we had enough room for 3 without disturbing each other and each has its own space.
Breakfast is varied, with a choice of sweet and savory options.
The staff is friendly, smiling and always quick to respond to your needs.
The asset of the Levni Hotel is Nural who speaks French very well and knows the city like the back of his hand; he gives you good advice on visits to do off the beaten track, it's a real plus to discover the city of Istanbul in this way.
If you are still hesitant about choosing the Levni Hotel, don't hesitate any longer, you will not be disappointed with the trip, in any case I will go back with my eyes closed.

Really nice hotel. Rooms were spotless and modern. We found the bed v comfy. Good to have a safe. Tea and coffee and large bottles of water provided. Staff were very helpful and gave really useful information and map. The staff speak v good English. Breakfast was very good with large selection and fresh omelettes cooked in front of you to your specification. Excellent location as all the major historical sights just a short walk, and the metro is just outside. Only thing I would mention so that the hotel can keep up the top quality of their offering is that some cleaning of the dust from the edges of the stairs and edges of floors in Reception lobby could be improved to match the clean look of the rest of the hotel. Overall excellent especially for the price. We didn’t try the spa facilities but looked good.

We spent five pleasant nights at the Levni hotel & spa
The location is perfect, close enough to walk all the big tourist attractions.
Reception staff were friendly enough - some less interested than others.
We stayed in deluxe suite on the second floor. The room was spacious with opening windows which let in lots of light.
The bathroom has an over-bath shower with attached screen. The hand held shower, fixed to the wall at waist height, has great water pressure but the rainwater shower head was useless, probably due to scaling.
A good, powerful hairdryer is provided but is fixed to the bathroom wall.
The breakfast buffet was good, offering many options and the servers were attentive and friendly.
We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant which has spectacular views.
On the two occasions that I visited the spa I was the only person there. I selected a Hamam and massage package which I highly recommend. All facilities, pool, sauna were immaculate, robes, slippers, shower products provided.
I would stay at the Levni again.

Why is it a special category hotel? I need this clarifying

Hi! This is what I found on the web --> Istanbul‘s Special-Class or Special category hotels offer character, specifically Ottoman character. Some were built during the Ottoman Empire, others have been restored to the character of that era, still others strive for an Ottoman ambience. Recognizing that some unique hotels did not fit its standard star classification system, Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism created ‘S’ (Special) Class to designate hotels and inns that may not meet all the technical requirements for a certain star rating, such as number of guest rooms or restaurant seats, but that had other advantages, such as character, historical interest, and/or charm. Special Class hotels are smaller than the standard 4- and 5-star luxury hotels, with fewer staff whom you’ll get to know more easily. Each has special charms or advantages. Most are as comfortable as any modern hotel rating three or four stars. Many are located in the most convenient hotel districts. And I would attest to the charm - Levni Hotel is not that big but the hotel staff are so nice and they can remember your names and call you by name. They also offer personalized services - the concierge in Levni offered to order food for us on our first day because we arrived late already and the hotel restaurant was already closed. He used his personal phone's app to order food for us and even brought so much bottled water when he brought the food to our room. He even found a great laundromat for us.
