I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. I had an impression that different people get different prices in this hotel. I got to pay 240 euros per night, so my expectations were rather high. Needless to say how dissapointed I was when I found out that the toilet and the douche did not work in my room. Nothing was fixed after I complained. The room was big and nice though and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great for those who like to eat a lot but all I wanted was a decent coffee... which they did not have.. In conclusion, next time I will be in Dushanbe, I will try to find a different hotel.

Good breakfast. Comfortable room. Expensive compared to other hotels in Dushanbe for what you get. As a western woman I found the continual presence of groups of men hanging about in the lobby of the hotel uncomfortable. But access to the centre of the city, to taxis and to restaurants was good. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel is fab.

The average hotel built during Soviet Union times and renovated a bit outside and inside. It looks nice but there are a lot of minor things you dislike making all together a disappointing big one - bath appliances, scratches, wall cracks, open doors, small shower booth, etc. There are "non smoking" signs everywhere but together with ashtrays ... and you can see men smoking right under the sign and no one cares ... Also, they have some troubles with the drainage in the lobby floor. The breakfast is awful, very soviet stile, not tasty at all, good i had just one. Personnel expect you to care of yourself as much as they can, they will not do anything unless you insist on them doing it... The price - disappointingly higher than the value, one standard single room (small) $150 a night. When the lift is moving you have a music singing but the trouble is that it is so depressive ... ;)

This hotel is older, but the rooms are extremly large. The hotel is older and has unique charms, they are centrally located, which is a HUGE plus. The hotel is within walking distance of many resteraunts, cafe's, parks, etc. However, it IS NOT airconditioned and you have to open the windows to get fresh air, which can be a problem if it's cooler - the burning smell is terrible. The shower head fell out of the wall onto me while I was taking a shower (but I put it back into the wall), the toilet stopped working, the outlets were too loose to plug anything into, the toilet often didn't flush, the toilet paper - scratchy, and the bed was INCREDIBLY hard. But, the breakfast was phenomenal, and the sheets were soft.

I would return to this hotel, I really would - because location means everything.

Hotel is located right in front of flag park and access to everything you may need in Dushanbeh. Restaurant offers good variety of food and rooms are quite comfortable. Some souvenir shops inside lobby area, Many thanks to Khaleh, The old lady with nice smile who I could buy nice items from her handicraft shop and also have nice photos with her Tajik bride cloths( It was called Chaken I think).

Excellent location, comfortable and cozy rooms.
Friendly and attentive stuff.
Plentiful breakfast.
There are few nice shops at lobby.
You can pay for your room in somoni, roubles or us dollars. Cash or card.
There is amazing traditional restaurant "Tajikistan" on the ground floor. I advice you to visit it.
One drawback - very poor room mini bar.

The single room was comfortable, the bathroom adequate but hard to close the door due to close quarters. TV with international programs. Breakfast offered choices for many tastes but staff were not attentive to the presence or absence of cutlery, lemon slices for tea, etc. Location good. Hotel advertises coffee maker in room but mine had none although it had a cup and saucer and a few tea bags. Having no experience with other hotels there I cannot compare but overall recommendable.
