Shumon is not a big hotel, but the girls at the reception are very friendly (and speak good English), rooms are big with a nice view (at least those facing the flagpole), breakfast was decent even in the times of covid, and the location is central. The hotel restaurant (Georgian) is reasonably priced. Only minus was the non-functioning heating (hope that gets fixed by the time winter kicks in).

Highly recommended hotel - value for money indeed. Receptionists were of great help (not sure if I can disclose names 😀). Provided answers to all our needs (booking taxis, exchange of money, upgrade of room, restaurant recommendations, etc…) - very professional and customer oriented attitude. Location of hotel was very good, breakfast was of very good quality, room (size, clean, daily service, airco working was outstanding.

Excellent hotel in the centre of the city. Centrally located, 5 mins walk from the flagpole, Rudaki Avenue, and the National Museum. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and has an outstanding view of the park. Bathroom was very clean and again really spacious. Breakfast was ok, a bit limited in choice but ok. However service throughout was impeccable. The lady at reception was exceptional as she was helpful, friendly and went above and beyond to help us. Highly recommend this hotel for tourists and business travellers alike.

Large comfortable corner room on the ninth floor. (The hotel is on floors eight and nine of a business building.). Great view of Rudaki Park, the lake, flagpole, presidential palace and snow capped mountains. Construction and traffic noise during the day, quiet at night. Room very warm during the day and AC not available until May so those large open windows provided our AC.
The bed was comfortable but pillows very hard. Water, tea makings, safe and robes provided.
Reception staff were helpful with information and ordering drivers for us. Breakfast buffet standard. Best thing was being able to order cappuccino’s every day at no charge. Had two lovely dinners in the restaurant with very helpful and pleasant waiter. This little hotel is in a great location, comfortable and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

After a week at a five star chain hotel, I wanted a change. I moved to the Hotel Shumon which is located close to the Presidential Palace and its magnificent public park. The hotel is warm, relatively inexpensive and very comfortable. Staff at the five star did not wear masks and everyone at Shumon did. The attached restaurant is Georgian and the menu is incredible. The room is large and well appointed. No, there are not a lot of english channels on the TV and they don't have a gym YET. But this will be my go to hotel in Dushanbe from now on.

The room was lovely and big, with a comfy bed and views over to the park and flagpole. The location is excellent, near the shops, park, museum and with a pub opposite. The food is a bit pricey but good quality. The receptionists are extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly. I fully recommend this hotel.

Location is excellent. Breakfast is one of the best we have had on our travles. Rom size great. Could not really ask for much more and its not expensice. Excellent value. Would recomend and return should we be visiting again.

Most ideal location, top class facilities, beautiful room with panoramic view, fast WiFi, excellent breakfast spread and friendly and helpful staff speaking english, I enjoyed my three nights stay with great happiness and satisfaction. Receptionist Ms. Husnia is quite knowledgeable about the city and the country. Thanks to her guidance,I could explore the city and a day trip to nearby places. There is sufficient parking available. There are many eateries, restaurants,malls within walkable distance. I could take leisurely walk in the evenings and enjoyed the beauty of city and it's sprawling parks. I will stay again at same hotel as I am 100% satisfied and advice all travelers to do so. There is excellent quality restaurant in the hotel.
