This is a classic, traditional hotel (staff dress in traditional costumes) that has been well maintained and offers updated amenities. It is conveniently located near the Perfume River and Citadel. Breakfast was good with variety. The Concierge, Mai Hoa, was extremely helpful. She arranged for me to travel from the Imperial Hotel to my Danang hotel (2 hours’ drive away) by reserving a 8-seater minivan for me at a cost of 160,000 dong ($7). Best travel deal ever!

For 27 days, we stayed at the Imperial Hotel in Huế. After seeing everything that they’ve done for us, we are so glad to have made the decision to book with this hotel. All the way from Florida, they helped us step by step in the process of booking with such patience. We had our credit card declined three times due to international charges, but over the phone, Mai-Hoa was so beyond nice and patient when helping us deal with this issue.
From our first steps in the hotel, every single person had so much kindness, care, and attention for us. From the bell man, to the front desk, and all the way to the room services, they ensured our time here was comfortable. Nhi, who oversees all the rooms, would always ensure room services would bring us cases of water throughout our time there and even prepared a beautiful flower arrangement during the ring of the lunar new year.
We had the chance to stay on the 16th floor and had an impeccable view of the whole city. From our room, we had direct sights of the Perfume river, bridge, and Huế Citadel. Because of lunar new year, we were able to see all the fireworks from the comfort of our room. Even if you’re not on the 16th floor, there’s a terrance on the rooftop where you can drink coffee and still see a panoramic view of the beautiful city.
Overall, we highly recommend this hotel if you ever plan to visit Huế! Choosing a place to stay for a month can be difficult, but in our experience it truly felt like home with an caring family of staff!

The Imperial Hotel in Hue has been one of the finest hotels I have stayed at in Vietnam. The food was delicious with lots of variety, the housekeeping/room service was surprisingly quick, and the location is great to walk to many attractions around the city. The rooms, while luxurious and quiet, could use some remodeling/updating (example: some decorations on the wall had fallen off presumably due to old glue). The staff, including the receptionists, room service, and the tour desk/business center were exceptional! An especially big shoutout to Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, who helped us navigate the city and went above and beyond helping us rent a motorcycle, call a taxi, and even walking us out to help buy some gifts at a local store. The receptionists at the front desk were also great, and their organization and knowledge was impressive. Also, definitely check out the pagoda on the top floor if you’re interested—the view is crazy expansive and you can learn more about the culture. If you are staying in Hue, I definitely recommend this hotel.

We live in Vietnam and love the casinos for roulette. Sadly this one made a few mistakes. After asking the girl to cash us out she had no idea how and proceeded to touch buttons which added a $7 bet and depleted my total. When questioned on the error she looked blank and refused to communicate and would not get the manager. Two other girls said they do not speak English. At reception the girl acted like she spoke no english to avoid handling the error. The principle of the error is very upsetting, if it was a large amount they would do the same? Also the payouts on your winning numbers is not correct. We played two machines side by side and both won different amounts for the same bet on the same number. This seems very wrong. Not giving them proper training makes me wonder how many more errors occur. We will never return and also pass along the information to many. The town and people of Hue are extremely friendly and kind. Enjoy doing other activities and avoid the casino. others to not go there.

My job involves a lot of travelling and every time I come to Vietnam I always visit Hue for one or two days. It's always such pleasure to stay at the Imperial, as the rooms are spacious and very elegantly decorated, the food at the restaurant on the 16th floor simply delicious, and the staff members extremely helpful, friendly and highly professional. Mr Duc is always at the entrance for a warm welcome and the receptionists to answer every question I might have. Every time I look forward to my next stay at the Imperial, as I really call it "Home".

Fantastic staff here who went out of the way to help us getting around Hue during the rainy weather. We used their services to book a driver for several hours and he took us around the tombs and other areas that we wanted to explore without the restriction of joining a tour. The room had a good view of the Perfume River, floors were a bit creaky but fine. Wide range of breakfast choices, similar to others in Vietnam. Excellent check out experience, they checked our room before we left and lucky they did, we left something behind 😅

We stayed there in August 2019 but for some reason the review didn't post then. We took the Vietnam Airlines bus from the airport and walked there in about 10 minutes. We had a corner room on a high floor. The room was beautifully furnished, with 2 sets of windows overlooking the Perfume River. The room had a minibar with beers and drinks refilled every day, included in the price of our room. There was an extensive breakfast each day, with a great deal of variety, especially as we chose to eat the local food.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and were upgraded to a room with a river view. The room was large and suitably appointed, décor was very old fashioned like something out of the 90’s but it had everything you needed. Bed was comfortable good water pressure in the shower. The breakfast buffet was large and varied and probably the best we came across in the 2 weeks we were in Vietnam. I had a soup which was the best soup I had in Vietnam as the broth had a reasonable depth of flavour for a hotel offering and had a bit of spice which was really nice. It’s a big hotel and a great location with the river, walking street and food options very close by. We were able to walk to the Imperial City quite easily from the Hotel. The pool was large (water was cold) and it had a great rooftop bar which seemed a bit more modern than the rest of the hotel. The staff were always helpful so whilst the décor was old and the hotel looked like it could do with some maintenance I can happily recommend this hotel.

This hotel is great! Very friendly service and they are happy to help in any way that they can. Van Duc is especially friendly and will always greet patrons with a smile!

We had a lovely time staying at this hotel a few weeks ago while touring around Vietnam and in Hue. I found the hotel very beautiful, especially the lobby, and the service (staff) was extremely wonderful. I want to specifically commend the Bellman. He was SO Friendly & Helpful! Also the massage therapists were SO Sweet, Kind & Lovely. They gave good treatments and did their best to make us feel special. We really enjoyed them. They made us happy.
I /We enjoyed the accommodations, and I really loved the upper decks with the gardens and pagoda. The view is incredible! I would love to return when the weather is nicer and there are more people around to mingle with up there.
However, I did note that in my room the windows were dirty on the outside, but it is winter, and it seems like it rains a lot in Hue, so I don't know what the cleaning schedule is, maybe they wait for better weather to do a thorough cleaning. But otherwise I was very pleased with the room and the bed, pillows and furniture. I thought the food was good at the breakfast buffet and the receptionist was also very friendly.
I would certainly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Not sure, we only had a standard room which was absolutely first class so why pay more? We spent little time in our room so executive was of no relevance. Just a superb hotel
