We enjoyed staying at rosaleen. The staff are friendly and helpful. It was so nice to sleep in a comfortable soft bed. It was nice and quiet but not too far from the lively tree lined area of small bars and cafes and a short walk to the beach. We hired electric bikes from uxp and the hotel kindly parked them under the hotel and gave us facilities to charge them. Breakfast a good choice in general, i would have liked to see more vegetarian options at breakfast as more and more people are choosing healthier eating. We Would certainly use this hotel again

I spent six nights at the Rosaleen and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. For the price, it is an amazing value. Service is incredibly friendly and helpful, rooms are comfortable and spacious, breakfast buffet is good, balconies give you a great view of the action, and the location is right in middle of a neighborhood with restaurants, bars, and shops.

Front desk staff greeted me by name every time I returned to the hotel, and even helped me arrange a motorbike tour of the countryside (highly recommend!). Many thanks to Nhi, Trang, Nga, Kim, Thuy, and Hao for their great service!

A few things to keep in mind: the streets around the hotel on weekend nights can get boisterous and loud (and fun!), but I was pleasantly surprised by the sound protection from the balcony door and window. They muffled the sounds from the street quite well. Also, the WiFi can be slow but there are countless bistros nearby where you can get faster internet (in case you need to check in on work, etc). And the shower takes a while to heat up, but there is a sign in the room that explains this.

In all, I recommend Rosaleen Boutique Hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

Rosaleen gets a tick in the box for meeting all the fundamentals of any good hotel: friendly staff, good communication, comfortable and clean, varied and tasty breakfast, perfect location and excellent service. We arrived early morning after taking an overnight train and they arranged early check in for us so we could shower and settle, and the next day they were helpful in seeing us on our way as we set off on our hired motorbike to our next destination. The staff were charming and caring – we only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed longer!

This hotel is well located & for me that was the highlight. Too many hotels are throwing in the title “boutique” to describe themselves, rest assured this is as far from boutique as you can get. Stayed two nights & wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer. Floor of room needed a good clean, robes smelt (don’t provide them unless they are 100% clean) & pillow cases stained. Staff were helpful & breakfast more than adequate for what you are paying for. Pool a bonus but in the shade for most of the day.

The location of Rosaleen was excellent but that was about all. The Hotel is in desperate need of a good clean - the breakfast area restaurant walls were a dirty disgrace and the floor had stains and hair over the floor. The Breakfast staff were unbelievably LAZY where we actually had to ask the Manager to ask the kitchen staff to make us a pancake as the Kitchen said 'finished' - the staff would stand around doing absolutely nothing.. The Manager apologised and understood my complaint. A disappointing stay as I think the Trip Advisor reviews paint a far more positive picture of this hotel than it deserves.

This is a lovely hotel choice for Hue. The rooms are large and bright and ours had a balcony. The pool looked really great but we didn’t have time to use it. The hotel staff are very friendly and courteous. They booked us a great day tour of the sites around Hue which included a really tasty home cooked lunch. The breakfast at the hotel was the best we have had since arriving in Vietnam. The hotel is located on one of the three busiest streets in Hue. It’s full of life and action and therefore a bit noisy. It was not so loud that it disturbed my sleep though.
I would recommend this hotel.

Right in the middle of Hue. The location is perfect for tourists.
The only problem is the hotel is getting old and is very damp. Our bed linen and clothes were damp and musty throughout our stay.
There is an issue with hot water. You must allow 30 minutes between showers for the water to heat up.

We spent 2 nights here & absolutely loved it. The staff are so friendly & helpful while the location would be hard to beat - surrounded by restaurants, cafes, bars & close to the popular attractions.

The staff sorted us with bicycles & all our taxi needs while the pool was awesome after a warm day. The included breakfast was really good & minibar prices incredibly reasonable.

Our room was clean and spacious and had a great view over the city. The pool is nice and great for a morning swim before heading out for the day. Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful especially Nhi, Nga and Thuy on reception. They helped us in organising airport transfers and a private car to Hoi An. Hotel is good value for money. I also like that they don’t over charge you at the minibar, beer is almost the same price as it is at the local shop and the cocktails at the hotel bar are a fair price as well. :)

The staff are so helpful, nothing was too much . There is no bar or dining room in the hotel but breakfast is prepared and served next door (a 3 mins easy walk) and there are heaps of bars and licensed cafes everywhere which to be honest is much better than an in house bar. There is a great coffee shop/cafe just off the main lobby with a good selection of sweet treats.
The room towels are replaced everyday and toiletries as required and the pool has towels supplied as well.
The immediate streets around the hotel are closed off from all traffic on Fri, Sat & Sun evenings so it’s walking street only and a terrific atmosphere.
The front desk arranged our airport pickup on arrival and also arranged our forward travel by private car to Hoi An on checkout.
I would definitely recommend this hotel - we stayed 5 nights

Hi Julie, the noise wasn’t bad when we were there in Dec. The street in front and beside the hotel was closed at night for cars and bikes and the street was packed with people. I do remember a club nearby but we had no trouble sleeping - and neither did our children. I hope it helps.
