Maison d'Orient

Traveller (132)

The hotel Maison d’Orient is a small elegant Hotel. Without the luxury of a traditional boutique-hotel, it has all its other characteristics such as its exceptional location, the elegance of its decoration, its equipment, and the personalization of the services. All details in the Hotel decoration remind you of an old Hanoian style. It is also the purpose of Hotel's Management to keep the traditaional senses of Hanoi, to bring the real humain contact to Guests. Small unique detail: Each bedroom bears the name of a local spice: star anise, cinnamon, lemongrass, ginger, etc., and its air perfumed with fresh extract of those spices. The hotel counts also a pleasant breakfast room on a mezzanine with large window on the lane. Another elegant touch: all the tableware is hand-made and painted earthen ware made by Vietnamese craftsmen.

We stayed at the Maison D'orient on the recommendation of Australian friends and were not disappointed. The location is in a quiet lane away from the busy traffic so is very quiet and serene. Rooms are large, airy and clean with excellent mattresses. The staff, led by

Good afternoon from the little Maison d'Orient Hotel, Thank you so much for choosing our Hotel and for loving our small Maison d'Orient. Hanoi is on its busiest day of the year...Our New Year approaching and we are all at the same time exiting and worrying. It's always a mix feeling of every emotional sense when counting days...In just 16 days we will say goodbye to the Year of the Dog and say hi to the Year of the Pig. Pigs are the symbol of wealth and their chubby faces and big ears are signs of fortune as well. Together with our team at Maison d'Orient Hotel, we wish you all the best for the year of the Pig. Kindly, Hien Le

This is my second stay at Maison D’Orient and it was even more delightful than before. I stayed with my family and we were given the 2 rooms on the top most floor. They came with a little balcony that we could enjoy sitting in and just take in the early morning view. The beds

Good afternoon from Hanoi, I believe that this is also the second lovely time that we have you and your family at our little place. That showed us that how you love us and remember us. You came the first time in 2017 and we are so delighted having you back in December 2018 and with your family. We are so happy that our place is still your little spot to stroll around the City and back to the peace after each day out. The breakfast is always in the theme of home made and concentrated in quality not quantity as last time you came. We do not serve fried rice, or fried noodle which can fill the breakfast table but can be too heavy and oily. Lovely to know that you enjoyed our Hanoian styled noodle soup. Thank you, thank you again for coming back to us and for your time in letting us know that you love us. All the best to you, to your family and Happy New Year of rose Pig to come! Admittedly, I only spent three days in Hanoi, but it would be hard to picture a more perfect little place -- for the money -- to stay. The Ginger Room on the fifth (sixth, if you're American and slogging up the stairs) was charming, clean and had a mini-bar and a balcony. The

Good morning from Hanoi, What a wonderful feeling receiving your feedback about us after having you at our little hotel. We appreciate your time and also your decision for choosing us while you were in Hanoi. We believe that you had seen and felt what we keen to be and I am very pleased that your feeling goes well toward us. A small spot likes us, we would love to keep it in a HOME way and in a SENSE of Hanoian which will never be shiny or luxury in terms of mass produced materials. And we are so happy that you loved it that way. Regarding the breakfast, you are right. We are doing out best to have the freshest fruits, home made jams, and cake,...and of course a local hot noodle soup. Some guests also want to try local street food in the morning, so it's very convenient as locals have that everyday and those are just in corners near our place. That is fun also to merge yourself with the local style. Happily that we are not that so closed to the Cathedral and in a dead-end lane so we can preserve calm. And yet the small shrewish rooster in the corner sings sometime. People in Vietnam considers this kind of rooster as a pet. Hanoi has everything :-). Thank you once again for staying with us. We remembered you going upstairs but smile always...We do hope next time you will count less the steps. All the best to you and Happy New Year 2019 again, Maison d'Orient Team
