Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

First and foremost I have to mention how great the staff is at the Hanoi Lullaby Hotel. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable and they are very knowledgeable about the area and providing recommendations and directions. We would like to acknowledge Lily and Lan in particular -- both really lovely and very helpful. They take their jobs and their customers' satisfaction very seriously. The room was large and comfortable, and the hotel was in a great location for walking around the Old Quarter, as well as getting to different areas and sights. Like other hotels in the area, there aren't any handrails on the steps which made me a little nervous, although it really wasn't a problem. You have to go up a full flight of stairs to get to the elevator if you prefer not to climb all the stairs to your room on the higher floors. Our room faced the street which was fine and we didn't find noise to be a problem. The breakfast was good both with a small buffet and with individually cooked items. I highly recommend this hotel. (When writing this review a number of questions came up asking things like do any of the staff speak Bulgarian, or Croatian or Czech. I think that is really strange since this hotel is in Hanoi Vietnam. I don't know the answers to these questions, but I doubt any of these languages are spoken there and I doubt there is a great demand for them in any case.)

After enduring a few nights in a nearby hotel, I moved to the Lullaby. Ain’t hindsight a great thing ? This place is in a brilliant location, within easy walking distance to a myriad of places, and very reasonably priced. A few minor oversights are not even worth mentioning. The staff are beyond helpful, friendly, and attentive. Especially the King, Mr Quan. He is the ultimate host. Terrific.

We choose this hotel, because have good reviews and they were right. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Always smiling and ready to answer all your questions. Hotel it self could use some renovation, but rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. After long time traveling, good night sleep was all we needed. Location of the hotel, couldn't be better, because it's on NO CARS street, so it's quiet and safe from traffic. Very easy to visit main attractions by foot. Will definitely come back again.

The location is not bad but the cars are not allowed inside the hotel lane and you need to carry your bags to and from the hotel . The staff are very very limited but helpful . The hotel has got nothing much to offer apart from a basic room , to even access the elevator you need to climb up a floor

Booked the hotel for a night stay. Reached there at almost 5pm, but couldn’t checked in. Guess the staff on duty wasn’t good with English. After waiting for 20 mins, another staff came and explained that he plumbing had problem and the room was leaking water. So they had to redirect us to another hotel (the art classic hotel - room was ok, but quite dark and different from the style of Hanoi lullaby which we booked for, service was really meh too).

To be honest, I have some doubts about the plumbing issue since we saw many people coming in and out (I.e. they are staying), Guess it might be an issue of overbooked. But the staff was really nice. She made sure to check on us at every point. She also recommended us the motorbike tour (Asia motorbikes adventures) which was one of the best thing we did in Hanoi.

Would have loved to stay there as the photos look really good. The reception area that we were at also looked really nice.

Avoid this deceiving hotel!

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid this deceiving hotel!

After having their confirmation for a deluxe room with booking.com, when arrived at hotel, the receptionist claimed he the room was taken by another person who walked in and said she had the reservation under my name. They said i could stay in the dark room next to the front desk, or to stay at their sister hotel, where I went to check the room was newly renovated but with strange odor in the room. I asked the hotel manager to call back but she kept hanging up the phones calls made by the 2 receptionist and I waited till 10 PM. After reaching the hotel manager Lan, she said if i was not happy I could just cancel the room (at 10 PM!)

Later i received the email from booking.com that the hotel had to cancel due to overbooking (not someone with my name took the room???)

If you are looking for a convenient hotel in the heart of the old quarter of Hanoi, the Lullaby Hotel” is the perfect location. Surrounded by the bustling city but still in a quiet side street location. Access to great restaurants, street food, coffee and shopping. and the famous “train street”. We were greeted with a warm welcome and excellent service, excellent value for money.

We stayed at the Lullaby for 5 days at the beginning of December while we prepared for our cycling trip from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. Extremely comfortable rooms, good location between the old town, food and train street, and...best of all...the sweetest, most helpful reception staff. They helped us out no end as we looked for quite different requirements than the normal tourist. Thank you so much for making the start of our trip so easy.
