This little family run hotel on the outskirts of Chiang Mai is a hidden gem. It just has the most charming feel. As soon as you arrive you are greeted by smiles in true Thai style. The family that run the hotel are very friendly and accommodating. I can't explain what it is but there is just something about this magical place and all its charm that makes you feel content, happy, relaxed and at home. The photos really don't do this place justice. The rooms are full of Thai character, large, spacious and clean. The pool is small and clean, but there are so few guests staying at this hotel that it feels as though you have the place to yourself. Mrs Mai's breakfast was a real treat, and the food in the traditional style Thai restaurant was delicious. We found the best way in Thailand was to order a mixture of dishes and share the lot. Chiang Mai Zoo and the walking street night market are a must see! I have some wonderful memories from my trip to Thailand, but Chiang Mai and this place in particular will hold a special place and be the memories for me that last a lifetime. I made myself a travel rule, that I will not visit the same place twice because there are so many places I want to see in my lifetime, but I would happily make an exception to return here one day in the future. …
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was about a 20 min walk from Old Town Chiang Mai or a 7 min Grab ride. The staff was incredible and made it such a special stay. The food is amazing and rooms very clean. The energy and peacefulness of the property is infectious, we would definitely recommend and stay again.
A charming place to stay with equally charming and efficient staff. We stayed in the main house in one of the two smaller suites - very spacious overlooking the pool, with a huge bed and polished teak floors. Nice breakfasts and a tasty inexpensive dinner on two occasions. The location is problematic. It is a 20-minute walk to Nimman Road’s shops and restaurants but the sights in the old city are further away. An Uber called by the hotel takes you quickly and cheaply but getting back meant showing a map to tuk-tuk drivers and then guiding them ourselves.
Staff and management are excellent. Rooms are big and clean but if u think its resort its not like resort. No sitting arrangement to sit in open space area. There are so many mosquito and management not doing any thing for it.
When it comes to price vs quality, you are getting a great deal. The rooms are very clean, normally i am affected by "not so clean" rooms as my nose becomes runny and stuffy which is always an annoying hindrance when sleeping. However here i had the most restful nights without my nose signaling trouble. The owners are very helpful and speak English very well which makes communicating a breeze. Always a plus when language isnt a barrier. I enjoyed the location as it was centered between Old Town and Doi Suthep Traveling to Old town wasnt expensive at all since they taught us how to use Grab and enabled us to go to old town while meeting some of the local people. Some people mentioned noise from the main road which is about 300 meters away and I can say that noise never troubled me whether it was cars or planes. The only thing I would add is improved bicylcles, by being so close to Doi Suthep some people might enjoy a challenge and get a bike to climb the mountain. 5 out of 5! Would come again on my next visit to Chiang Mai…
