Red Planet Bangkok Surawong is the best there is for a boutique hotel right in the heart of Bangkok, and about 700 metres to the Patpong Night Market. Patrons, hôteliers, taxi drivers, and enthusiasts may not know where's Surawong? Well, Surawong is nestled in a surprising quiet and vibrant neighbourhood in Silom. Telling taxi or Grab drivers where's Surawong is like describing a needle in a haystack. They pretty much where's Thanon Surawong or Surawong Road. But tell them it's in Silom close to Sala Daeng or Chong Nonsi 'sky train' stations, and they know the area.
Red Planet is a fantastic boutique hotel in realm of mid range hotels like Ibis, Holiday Inn, Travelodge, Mercure, etc. But it gives the competition a run for the money because it's an upgrade for a single budget room with an attached bathroom. Most midrange may not have that sort of pricing, hence, it gives Red Planet, the edge when it comes to budget.
Like most travellers I don't prefer the luxury because, a day's or night's rest after a long travel is more important. Now, if you're or want amenities to pamper your lifestyle, this isn't your hotel. I suggest the more upend boutiques like the Accor range. They're indeed great in that sense.
However, I have a suggestion for Red Planet. Have flexible shower heads, instead of the attached and elongated shower head extended from the piping system. Sometimes when we go out we just want to use the flexible shower head to relax and clean our bodies a little bit more. Those nitty gritty difficult wash areas, the fkexble shower heads can get to them.
Nevertheless, Red Planet Hotels are indeed the best for any sort of travellers. Just download the app from the Playstore and you're off to your wonderful experience. Moreover, by using the app, patrons do get great discounts for their stay.
As usual, be nice, and you can a wondrous experience in Surawong, Bangkok.

I checked in 10 Feb till 15 fed ,total 6 days 5 night when reach hotel they arrange a 2 single bed, I request king size bed they told me due to heavy booking not available to do so , next they change me to room with king size bed, staff fromfront office office very helpful, my last day due to my flight request extended few hours, they say no problem, will extended for me with charge thank you your team good job
The hotels below got 7.11, and it is not far from the popong market wal, about 7 min. The opp got the morning market .many local food ,very good price , hotel provided whatever they have to support room guests,cifffwe tea, toothbrush, towel, water ketter, big lobby for rest, room is clean,room maid is kind ,just inform them u need 4 towel every day they just follow and arrange it, we'll done. Nearby can visit mahanadi towel, walking distance, massage and nights life just 7 minutes walk, if you like nights life, hotel room no nosey at all, many Asian guest, staff can comemcaite with English we'll. I will give 7 out of 10, and I think I still have some areas to improve . I sure will come back to visit this hotel again for my next trip. Thank you all, you team .Good job

The hotel is located in a strategic location which is easily accessible to the nearby MRT/ BTS. It would be even better if mineral water is provided in the room. The convenient shop, & eleven is just located in front of this hotel and making purchase of breakfast very easy.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The hotel room itself is fine. The room has a fridge which was a nice surprise as well as a safe. The room was clean and adequate. The front desk staff and cleaning staff are friendly. AC works well. Shower water pressue is good and hot.
Negatives: Checkin was slow. Lobby littered with mosquitos, got bit a few times waiting to checkin. The plug outlets are loose. Location is somewhat remote from everything. There isn’t much around. The hotel is a good fifteen minute walk from the BTS because the walk requires crossing multiple streets with heavy traffic in each direction. The main reason I had to give the hotel a low score and why I won’t stay there again is that the walls are thin and transparent. I could hear the people in the room next to me coughing and playing movies all night. Throughout the night you can hear people closing and opening their room door. I was awakened countless times throughout the night from noise, even at 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning.

Good for budget travelers. The room is clean, but small (it’s understandable for the price). Easy access to food 7-11 and weed shop 😊💕 You can hear some noise from the room next door. But it’s not that bad. I would recommend to stay here 😉

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. In the room: Kettle, TV, Air Conditioner (smells, but okay for a 3 night stay), Safe, Hairdryer, 2 body towels and 1 floor towel, Fridge, big mirrors. No toothbrush and toothpaste, the shampoo/soap is 3-in-1, no small towels, no closet. Staff is nice. In the building: Michelin Restaurant, very delicious. 7-11 combini store. Outside: A lot of restaurants, shops, MRT and BTS stations in walking distance, One stop visa center, Embassy of Russia. The price is cheap and the quality is good.

Good average hotel in the heart of Bangkok with Very basic amenities. Only soap and shampoo dispenser, no water or coffee. But a Kettle and cups in the room. It would not cost another bhat 15/- to provide a small bottle of water and maybe a small packet of coffee to a tired guest which can be added to the cost of the room
