We loved our stay at Amara Bangkok, we were only in Bangkok for 2 nights on our 2 week trip to Thailand but I wish we stayed longer as Bangkok and Amara was one of the highlights of our trip.
We were welcomed with a refreshing passion fruit drink while we waited to check in.
The room was spotless and very modern, if you can request a room on one of the higher floors for the best view. The rainfall shower was the best shower ever!
The rooftop pool and bar is INCREDIBLE the views are like nothing I’ve ever seen before. There aren’t many sun beds up there, so if you can get there early! You are given pool Towels at the bar and the room has robes which most people will wear up to the pool.
We had dinner at around 5pm in on the rooftop and luckily for us we were the only people there! It did start to get a bit busier at around 7pm so I advise going early.
The location is great! You are spoilt for choice of restaurants, cafes and bars along the road the hotel is on. And so many tuk tuks around if you want to go a bit further.
Do not hesitate to book your stay here, it will be worth it!

We were on the top 2 floor rooms which are an upgrade, but they include a daily cocktail and hors,d'oeuvrs nightly for several hours plus a wonderful breakfast downstairs, or on an outside deck on the 20th floor offering a lighter breakfast. The rooms are beautiful with a full sized bathtub and separate shower. They even have a Toto toilet with a washlet and a full size glass wall that can open into the bedroom. The rooms have beautifully built in shelves, cupboards, and closets. A rooftop bar and infinity pool overlooks the skyline views.

Modern business hotel. We booked a room with access to the club lounge, so we had breakfast on the terrasse of the 22nd floor with wonderful view, and they serve snacks and drinks in the afternoon for free. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar after long days in the city. The location of the hotel is quite good - not far from the Skytrain Station and Surawong Road seems to be a safe area. Just across the road you have a Somboon Seafood restaurant which we can recommend. Very nice and helpful staff.

Stayed 2 nights in a Club room. Very comfortable bed, room in good condition, good AC.
Good breakfast, ate in main restaurant but went to lounge for coffee/cookies and evening for included drinks and snacks which in fact could make a meal (1 hot option, a few appetizers and some desserts)
Club room had late check out (3 pm) included, very much appreciated before heading to the airport (took taxi meter both ways)
Great service from all staff.
Excellent location in Silom, close to BTS and MRT stations (walking distance in 10 min)
Would recommend without hesitation!

We were pick up by the hotel in a nice vehicle which was well seperated with protective measure between the driver and the guests.
Throughout the journey to the hotel was a smooth and comfortable ride. Upon reaching the hotel, clear instruction and excellent service was given to our group. Registeration was done in an smooth and orderly manner forms he front desk and the medical staff. Soon, we arrived in our individual room. The room was well kept and with a refreshing smell. Front desk staff had called to check upon the guest of their requirements or assistance as we arrived close to mid night and they had offer us meals which was not included.
Throughout my quarantine, contact the front desk was a breeze and the hotel staff were very well train and constaintly check on their guest and did their very best to provide what the guest request for.
I had a pleasant stay and my quarantine days passed by so fast as I had enjoyed my stay at the hotel.
would sure to stay there again.

The free minibar consisted of bottled water and random sodas without a diet soda option. No alcohol. The breakfast benefit was canceled reportedly because of concern for coronavirus so didn’t get that benefit. No diet soda in the club room. The happy hour was nice but I can also just buy my own $2 beer somewhere else.
Hotel is totally fine. The pool has zero shade and few chairs so it’s good for a photo and that’s it. The do not disturb sign is taken as a suggestion which may be a cultural thing but ultimately was very annoying. If I put that up then I don’t want you to knock or ring the odd little door bell the rooms have. Wouldn’t return.

Stayed for a week in the club cabana room, which offers a shared large terrace on the 9th floor with splendid views to the area and jacuzzis. It should also include access to the club lounge which is currently closed.
Room itself was spacious, clean and well equipped. Internet was functioning stable, and by far the most impressive feature was the japanese style toilet seat with all the heating, cleaning functionality that includes. Definitely a first in Bangkok for me.
The private terrace and baths are in its own a splendid perk and quite worth the almost double price for the room rate. However, unfortunately, that is where the only shortcomings for the hotel stem from. You cannot self-operate the jacuzzis and you have to call the staff. Sometimes they need reminding. Sometimes multiple times. And on one particular occasion they managed to ignore the requests to turn the jacuzzi on completely.
Also the heating part of the baths was broken - it was the rainy season in Bangkok and the water in them was not THAT warm, so warmer water was missed greatly.
The rooftop pool and bar offer a fabulous view of the surrounding area, including the Mahanakhon tower. Their accommodations page also mentions daily complimentary drinks at rooftop bar, which were not offered or mentioned by anybody. On a sidenote - at rooftop bar buy beer by the pitcher for better value!
Breakfast was available but I chose not to order it. There is a local food market like 150m from the hotel where you can get solid thai breakfast for 100 baht + the lively market experience as a bonus.
Lots of entertainment, dinner and drinks places in the area + skytrain close by. Would definitely recommend the hotel, even with the shortcomings.

Dear Peeter, First of all, thank you very much for your time writing review in details and highly appraicted. I also shared with the operation team on your mentioned point by point. Indeed, our jacuzzi system does not allow guests to do self activation, therefore, we create the signage informing guests to contact the hotel should Jacuzzi service is needed. You pointed out on the mattter of the water which our Jacuzzi runs with normal temperature water and not warm water. Therefore, we need to add this information on the signage. Never once that our team members will ignore any guests request, however, activation perhaps could be done slower than your expectation. I do apologize on not being informed on the benefits of complimentary drink wrtten on the confirmation letter, however, it's the practce for our front office team to verbally informed guests on room's benefits with providing the complimentary coupons as well. Once again, Peeter, I hope that the hotel will have chance to be your selected hotel for your future visit to Bangkok. Regards, Poom Samkasat General Manager

This is my second ASQ hotel I stayed with and I can recommend especially the Club Room, which gives enough space during the quarantine and offers a nice view of the skyline of Bangkok. Worth the price! They are perfectly organized keeping a safe environment and communicate in English very well. Food varies and is delicious. Come back for sure!

I have been staying here for 7 days so far in quarantine. The hotel has an excellent setup for the ASQ procedures. The bed is very comfortable, and a large window with a view of the city. The staff is excellent at providing outstanding customer service. All staff wears personal protective equipment. Food provided in ASQ package are nice size portions and is very good.
You're allowed outside the room only 3 times in a relaxation lounge for 1hr after you obtain negative test results. Hot water in the shower takes a few minutes to warm up.
