Stayed in this place for a total of 2 weeks, had a very enjoyable time, very clean, stayed in 3 different rooms in total and all were okay and clean. The AC doesnt exactly work all the time so you wake up hungerover feeling like your going to die in the Bangkok heat, but overall it is good. The internet is cheap as well, with the best AC in Bangkok in that room! HOWEVER, unless you keep money hidden or locked very very well (no safes in our rooms), your money will get stolen. 50 baht i dont mind really to begin with, but at the very end of our time a lot of money went mysteriously missing, in total me and 2 friends had over £60 (3000 baht) stolen! Thats the not the end of our troubles, a day after we left we arrived in Cairns, Australia I found that my card details had been cloned and that they had stolen all the money I had on the card £350 (16593 baht!) from the account. To sum up, nice place, not so nice thieving staff. Oh and a little tip, carry more than 1 card on your travels, dont be an idiot like i was!

Four Sons is located in probably the best placed street in Bangkok, near enough to Khao San Rd to be convenient, very central, and yet far enough from Khao San Rd not to be just immersed in hippies and tourists.

The restaurant of the hotel was also pretty ok, although in this same street you'll be able to eat just fantastic food from the food stalls at a fraction of the price.

However the service of the hotel was very extremely unfriendly, both at reception and at the restaurant. Furthermore, their "superior" room, while clean, was inferior to many other cheaper rooms in Bangkok hotels (no tv, very poor bathroom, poor A/C).

Overall a great useful location, but you may want to try elsewhere in the same neighborhood

I kind of dont want to let others know about this one, but I feel obliged to because Four Sons House deserves to be much more popular than it appears to be. Also I search this site all the time for hotels to stay in and its only fair to play my part in the process :o)

I stayed here twice during my time in Thailand. I came back to it the second time because the staff made me feel so welcome, and because Four Sons House is such GREAT VALUE!

The rooms are of the equivalent standard of a basic hotel in the Uk, they are all ensuite & have satelite tv. I paid the equivalent of £5 per night for my single room, and it was money very well spent.

I hope you enjoy it too

This place is so clean, the people who work there are so friendly and welcoming. Its just round the corner from Khao san road. The room is big, clean, bed is soooo comfy, free water, towel, hot shower and all at a reasonable price. We have been back 3 times now.

We got there for our last night of the trip so we wanted budget. And budget we got.
Sheets on one bed were dirty and needed change. The room is just near kao San rd. So it's reaaaallllyyy noisy.
The beds are the worse ones we had in our entire trip. Plastic way-too-soft beds in which the sheets can't hold on to, really annoying. The pillows are plastic and hard- both of us get up with cramped neck.
The staff are nice enough and good massage on the hotel.
Over all I would not recommend anyone who doesn't want a stiff neck in the morning to stay there.

I searched the 500-600 Baht price range around Khao San rd. and stayed here in a double room in this Guest Friendly/Thai Friendly Hotel and found it to be adequate, clean and functional. Don't expect anything more as a lot of people seem to for what they pay.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and I had no issues in the 6 days that I stayed here. I am also not a fussy type.

Wifi was a bit patchy but this is the experience I have with a lot of hotels. The only slight issue for me was the rooms don't have fridges, well mine didn't and wasn't really a problem in the end.

Room Tip: Check your room as some might not have a window. For me a windowless room is a no-go.

We ate at the Four Sons Restaurant and ordered food and beverages. We used the wifi (only free when you order food/drink), as we were using the computer- we plugged our computer into a nearby electrical socket. At the end of the evening, we paid our bill and waited for our 50baht change... it never came - when I asked the waitor, he said that we don't get our change because we used the electricity! My husband and I argued with them for about 20 minutes, and they would not budge on giving us change - I was so shocked at their lack of sympathy or even common sense! After this experience, we refuse, and would HIGHLY discourage our friends/family from staying or eating here. As we've seen, the Thai standards of tourism are extremely low, there is no concept of hospitality at all. That being said, there are a few who strive to please customers - BUT four sons village is not one of them. There are plenty of other options to stay/eat in the area, where you won't get any "extra" charges at the end of your stay/meal...

Stayed in countless hotels around Thailand. This was about as drab as they come. Tatty room, weird smells, broken blinds and some ominous looking stains on the sheets. Add to that the fact that the hotel manager couldn't get his head around the fact that I am not a freshie and have a visa, sarcastically told us "whatever, if the police come it's your problem". Charming. We left here the next morning and randomly walked into a place called Ben's House a few feet away, same price, staggeringly better. Do yourself a favour and go there instead.
