Last visit was about 5 years ago.

Much had changed. The old property fronting the GH entrance is being demolished and boarded up. Can expect a dusty environment immediate to the GH during this time.

Rooms are upgraded with new AC and bathrooms. The dinning area for breakfast is now fully air conditioned and appears more packed.

This GH provides very basic in-room facilities. Lower your expectations and you will surely enjoy the stay.

The service staff and the breakfast served will definitely give you a long lasting memory. Positive !!

Thank you BCGH ! 😊

Please read my previous reviews for detailed information. We have just stayed with our daughter, her husband and twin baby boys. Our accommodation was superb and the staff were so friendly and efficient, each one adding extra value to our experience.

I happened to stroll down a lane just 30 meters from a main road in Bangkok and I saw this spacious inviting garden in the midst of the hustle and bustle of busy Bangkok. I thought it was a Christain center and true enough it was but it offered accommodation. So I wondered in and at the reception was astonished the tarif was very reasonable for a single person.

The room was basic, very clean, very comfortable and the furniture was of some quality. The surrounding was appealing and fresh. I thought the availability of hot water for 24 hours suited me well because I like my green tea throughout the day. Breakfast was good with much choice. The only problem was, there was no TV in the room but guests could enjoy viewing TV at the common lounge. One excellent feature was, there was a library and conference room.

It was a peaceful, restful place for one who likes quiet moments in a busy city. Food stalls, super markets, taxis, banks, shopping centers are around the corner but one feature I like is; the skytrain station is very close by. Guests were of many nationalities . I met a Buddhist monk, an Islamic man and of course Christians at this guest house. If you are a person who values harmony and like people, visit this place. I thoroughly recommend.

I just love the BCGH and stay here every time I'm in Bangkok. The rooms are clean, equipped with A/C, a desk, chair, flat screen TV, bed a private bathroom with shower. WiFi is available, and there's an internet station downstairs that is very inexpensive.

Inexpensive excellent laundry service -just put your clothes in the bag provided outside your door before bed and the clothes are back the next day by 4:00 PM.

Free filtered water to fill your water bottle.
Nice breakfast in the morning usually included.
Starbucks and the Skttrain stop just a block away.

Great place to stay.

This was a wonderful haven in the middle of a bustling city. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The accomodation is probably the best you can find for backpacker/budget rates: the location is central - a 2 minute walk from the famous Patpong night market, and only 2 train stops from Siam Square (the heart of the city). Central mall is literally across the street, and the little streets in the surrounding area are full of trendy spas, Italian restaurants, embassies and palace hotels. The rooms are spacious and very clean. There is no TV at this time, but enough to do in Bangkok to keep you busy. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

This was the 3rd time I've stayed at the Bangkok Christian Guest House and I plan to return to it again. The rooms are clean and reasonably priced. The guest house is close to Central Market and Tops Market so shopping is easy. You can get to the BTS from Central so it's convenient when dragging luggage. The area also has tons of western restaurants nearby so the biggest challenge may deciding which one to go to! There is some good Thai food around too. The guest house serves breakfast from ~6:30 - 10:00. They'll accept orders for lunch and dinner but I've never had it because there are too many other choices. They have a church service every Sunday night at 6:30 - I highly recommend it! Wifi is available. They suggest you give a donation for the wifi - which I always do. Have I convinced you yet? I know I'll return again.

Being right in the middle of Sala Daeng is one of the biggest bonuses for BCGH. Around the corner from the guest house is the BTS station, and only two stops away from MBK, Platinum and Central World shopping centres.
The rooms were very clean and well maintained with plenty of room to unpack and spread out. We had adjoining rooms with our kids which gave us good privacy and the bonus of an extra bathroom. Breakfast is a simple buffet with cereal and toast and an Asian dish with eggs depending on the day.
Plenty of markets and street stalls surround the guest house. I recommend trying the banana roti - to die for and only 35baht!

This guesthouse is for Christian travellers (and non Christian quiet travellers) and has a prayer room available. Depending on your needs, this guesthouse will either be the wrong place for you or a hidden gem. Overall a great experience for a quick stopover in Bangkok especially for missionaries or business travellers.

Pros:
1.) Location, in the centre of the Silom area with easy access to BTS, Patpong markets, Central shopping centre and Nightlife
2.) Clean, very basic rooms but they are clean and well maintained
3.) Affordable, both room and laundry is very affordable
4.) Free Wifi although difficult to connect at times
5.) Fantastic staff

Cons:
1.) No pool, gym, room service etc.
2.) No alcohol in rooms
3.) Breakfast, skip breakfast and head out to the street stalls for amazing food choices

After staying in the old BCGH for 2 months in 1978 I was pleased to return when we visited in 2010.
The rooms are simple but comfortable and we slept very well in the airconditioning.
There was a lovely breakfast each morning and the staff were very helpful with local knowledge and booking tours.
A real plus is the central location with good access to a range of transport. '
A real gem

Hi, what is a reasonable charge for a taxi from Suvarnabhumi Airport to BCGH
Answer from krazy_kolyn
Bangkok, Thailand169 contributions140 helpful votes
Hello.. It would have cost between to 300 - 400 Thai Bhat. But I would get to the taxi stand (lower concourse) and take one of those taxi. You pay by the meter. Do not get the taxi driver to give you a figure. You need to take a coupon for the taxi from one of the automated machine there which will give you a lane no. Do to the taxi and that specific lane and take the taxi there.. Sorry.. too much info for you!! :)
