The room, facilities, location and staff for this price point were outstanding. You can find nicer bigger rooms but not without spending $45+ USD more per night (which is a huge amount in "Thailand" value).

The location is right next the Skytrain and Subway - giving you fast inexpensive and easy access to just about anywhere in Bangkok. You could take the airport train to the subwayor skytrain to within 1/2 block of the hotel.

My only comment would be that the pool was smaller than I was expecting but clean with comfortable seating.

I arrived at the hotel to check in at 2:30pm however depite having booked a Sky Club Room with Sky Club Benefit (guaranteed Early Check In after 10:00am), I was told that the room was not ready and I would have to wait in the Sky Bar until it was ready. After 90 mins I got sick of waiting and went back down to the lobby to find out what was going on. after some complaining, I finally got a room.

The room itself was very nice, clean, well equipped and comfortable - unfortunately, the air conditioning was not working (took two visits from maintenance to finally sort it). The Bathroom was also excellent, along with complimentary water and a well stocked mini bar and Tea & Coffee making facilities. Wi Fi was fast and easy to connect.

The breakfast was excellent, with a mix of western and eastern choices (the Thai and Indian foods were particularly tasty). Only downside was that the dining area is quite small, meaning some people had to wait a while for a table to be free.

The Sky Club Benefits were also very useful - two free laundry items per day, free Coffee or soft drinks and snack in The Sky Bar in the afternoon, free cocktails and food in the Sky bar in the early evening all made the stay more enjoyable.

The location was excellent a short walk to Terminal 21 shopping Mall and easy access to nearby entertainment options. Strangely not many taxi drivers seemed to know where the hotel was - I ended up telling them to head for Terminal 21 and guiding them to it.

The only downside of the hotel are the lifts (there are only two), which were very slow, meaning long waits for them to come (should have seats to make waiting easier).

We are a family of 3 and stayed here in Jan'20 for 3 nights and we were very happy with our stay. Of course, we had booked it looking at the location and the price. Walking distance from Sukhumvit MRT and Asoke BTS, alongwith the convenience.
Three things that we liked the most. Firstly the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Right from the moment of check-in to looking after every detail. Sunday morning breakfast is a little crowded around 10am. But Ms Saraah was so efficient in handling the waiting guests and at the same time clearing the breakfast tables in the most agile manner and also offering tea/coffee. She was very helpful in the mad rush with a smile.
Secondly, the breakfast spread is huge and great choices from local thai cuisine to western choices. we loved the spread. and thirdly, the room was the right size for 3 of us with an extra bed. Enough to move around and comfortable beds.
Will definitely stay again on our next visit.

Stayed for 4 nights in March 2020 in a sky room and the views were amazing! Really nice rooms if a little small but who goes to Bangkok to stay inside. Loved happy hour by the rooftop pool watching the sunset over Bangkok. Great breakfast was also included in our room rate and all the staff we encountered were professional, smiley and couldn’t do enough to help you. Excellent location in the Sukhumvit area within walking distance of the BTS Skytrain to explore the city and close to Terminal 21 and lots of restaurants and bars. Only negative was our room came with early check in but wasn’t ready when we arrived around lunch time after providing flight details as requested although it was a short wait and we were offered refreshments so not a massive issue. Thank you for a memorable stay!

My partner and I enjoyed a staycation here for a few days. First impressions were good, as the hotel has a very attractive entrance, set back from the main road, with plants and (from memory) a water feature. The building is easy to find, in a great, central location. A member of staff opened the door for us with a smile and we were able to check into our room quickly (unlike many other hotels); we were grateful that our room was ready, since we were early and had expected to simply drop our bags off. The room was great – on the 30th floor, with wonderful views, including of the treetops of Benjakitti Park. It was comfortable and modern with a bath in a separate bathroom. Breakfast the next morning was delicious – fluffy omelettes cooked to order, fresh croissants, fantastic bircher muesli and a colourful fruit salad. There were other things to choose from, too. The only reason I haven't given the hotel five stars is because the pool is a little small. Still, it appears to get the sun all day, which is a plus. And if you get it to yourself, well, no complaints! It's on the 37th floor, so gives great views over Bangkok.

Ok, so let's begin with the positives of this five star hotel.
The price for a standard room for two nights was very reasonable. The room was good, outstanding views, 32nd floor, and the bed was super soft with excellent TV channels to cater for all.
The pool is fine, it's on the 37th floor, rooftop bar called H2O and the views are simply spectacular to say the least! Only a handful of sunbeds through, and the bar is quite basic in terms of decor.
The location is fantastic with Terminal 21 Shopping Mall next door and lots of restaurants, bars and parks to visit. Overall great!!!!

Now constructive criticism:
Upon arrival, I waited whilst 3 reception staff dealt with one man .. surely it does not take all 3 to check in this customer. It is always good to not keep a customer waiting when there is staff that can check them in.
Finally, after they finished they asked me to check in and pay a 1000 deposit by credit card only. In thier policy it states anyone who books 3 or more rooms pays a deposit. There is nothing within their policy that states of you book one room you will be a refundable 1000baht. Now I do not mind paying this, I understand why but they must advertise this, so customers can save for it.
I waited one hour and 30 mins for my room to be ready, bearing in mind that check in is at 1400hrs, I got into my room at 1600hrs. The staff apologised and gave me a free upgrade, however that was the room I booked. ..unless it was an upgrade of the view. I do recommend that you should have the rooms ready, or at least offer a free coffee or something whilst customer has to wait.
The pool bar is ok but the bar man asked me to pay at 1800hrs because he was closing, yet I was told the bar stayed open until 2100hrs. I was so disappointed, I wanted to relax by the pool with my drink. So in the end I went to the restaurant on the 38th floor where the barman said that the pool bar does stay open until 2100hrs but that the pool bar man was new and didn't know of the timings .... It is always a good idea to train new staff accordingly.

I went to bed at 2300hrs only that by 0130hrs there was loud music outside my room, I had to call reception to come up and ask for them to tell the person to switch their music off. It didn't happen so I called again and this time the receptionist told me it was corridor music and that she would turn it off. Cannot believe that there is music on in the corridors at this time. I did not sleep at all. I advise that the music is on a timer so it can switch off on its own at a respectable time.

Breakfast is ok but the coffee was cold so I left and went elsewhere for a different breakfast.

Overall, the room was great, location was great, pool is great, views spectacular, and hotel room price reasonable.

Each person can make their own decision, but I do recommend this hotel for it has many positives and more than likely what happened to me was a one off.

The hotel is good with decent sized rooms. Fairly new, but it does have a lack of maintenance, and due to that, it's not a 5 star condition.

Please maintain it and the hotel will look fresh and clean.

The higher floors give a wonderful view of the Bangkok skyline, especially the bar on the 39 Floor.

Extremely polite and helpful staff.

Ashish from the bar/restaurant was extremely helpful to reserve a table for us and also noted when we advised him it was our friends anniversary.
We had drinks between 5-7, with the their drink as much as you want at a fixed price, with food and they surprised our friends with a complimentary cake for their anniversary.
Kamu in reception was also helpful and polite and allowed us to check-out even later than the standard 2.00p.m check out time.

The location is spot on, on Sukhumvit road, 2-3 min walk to Asok metro station and also surrounded by many bars and restaurants

I and my boyfriend have already fallen in love The Continent. I thought the location is just perfect and very easy access by both public transportations,Sky Train and Metro,

Staff at the lobby and concierge are friendly and helpful. We had many plans for our excursions in Bangkok where we are more than appreciated for the service provided and great suggestion. Kris, Superstar, Don't please let him away. Met him by the pool during happy hour with a great tips for exploring the hidden spots where was still in shade. Funny!

Food on Medinii, 35th is delicious even a bit busied by the breakfast.

Room is capacity for couple and the view from the bed is fantastic.

Pool is not huge that much but the view is speechless, sunset is the perfect.

We just land in Califonia but already missing Bangkok and The Continent, hope to come back again.

Strongly recommend for the couple.

We only had one night in Bangkok and wanted a nice hotel that wasn’t too expensive, the Continent was listed as a 5 star but at a very good price. When we arrived the first person to greet us was a security guard who welcomed us and showed us where to park and guided us in then showed us to reception, check in was quick and straightforward with very friendly staff who showed us how to use the elevator with the keycard, our room was on the 27th floor and had great views of Bangkok, the room was quite small but had everything that you would need especially as we were only staying one night, the bed was comfortable and all was clean the shower was strong and refreshing and the air conditioning was efficient. Breakfast was ample and tasty. The only downside we found was that when we went to go out for dinner around 7pm we couldn’t get our car out of the car park as we were blocked in by around 6 cars so rather than wait for it to be cleared as we had a reservation we had to go by taxi.
All in all we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend for value and convenient location.

Yes. But small portion like the standard hotel. You can buy some more from the Gourmet Market (Supermarket) at the B Floor - Terminal 21, or from some convenience stores around that area.
