Mode Sathorn Hotel is celebrated for its prime location near the BTS station, making transportation a breeze for many guests, though some note the scarcity of tuktuks. While the hotel boasts modern and spacious rooms with a peaceful atmosphere, reviews are mixed regarding service and cleanliness; friendly staff contrast with occasional slow service, and cleanliness varies. Guests enjoy the variety of breakfast options but find the pool bar service and housekeeping inconsistent. The value is debated, as some find on-site dining pricey compared to local eateries.

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful hotel. The staff were fantastic and nothing was to much bother for them. The room we stayed in was not particularly big but had stunning views over the city including the railway station and main arterial routes. We were located on the 29th floor. The room was comfortable, clean and practicable as was the bathroom. The bathroom not only contained a shower but it had a free standing bath with sunset views. The water in the shower was hot and shower gel, toothbrushes etc were provided, unlike some of the other hotels we stayed in.
A wide variety of hot and cold foods were available at breakfast.
Yes we found some of the alcoholic drinks to be slightly expensive as was the food. The infinity pool is stunning as is the roof top bar/restaurant. The coffee shop serves nicely prepared food and the staff are lovely.
The gym is small but adequate.
I would recommend this hotel as it has a nice ambience about it and the staff are professional, courteous and always smiling.
Taxis are easily available to get into town as is the train.

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel because I am impressed with the value for money.
We got to the hotel within an hour from the airport, but this depends on the general traffic situation!

We had a double room with an extra bed, but used the second double bed as a single bed because the beds are huge and two people can comfortably sit in one place.

Unfortunately the extra bed made the room a bit cramped and we had little space for our suitcases.

Other than that, the room is very modern and is great for a city trip because you can walk to the Chao Phraya and take the ferry for a reasonable price, or you can simply use the Skytrain that stops almost in front of the hotel.

In the area you can eat really cheaply at the many food stalls or go to one of the surrounding 7elevens (there are some on every corner).

The Robinson Store is within walking distance, where you can get good, cheap food around the clock and it is suitable for exchanging money.

Check-in was super friendly and problem-free. Unfortunately, the ride to the room takes a little longer with the elevators - no idea why and where they stop in the hotel. It's best to use the elevator to the right of reception (surprise).

The bathroom was a decent size, but unfortunately it lacks some storage space, which is necessary for three people. The bathroom had a bathtub and an open shower with a view of the skyline <3

We had booked breakfast and this left nothing to be desired. There were coffee machines, various fresh juices, bread, fruit, sausage, cheese and of course a Thai hot dish and we were able to start the day with curry ;)

One evening we also used the pool (bathrobes hanging in the room). The water wasn't as cold as some people have said and we had a nice view of the illuminated Bangkok.

We also visited the rooftop bar - but it's really teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - but - so what - we were on holiday. Great view and very chilled.

All in all, we would book this hotel again and again.

Very nice hotel, great location and therefore I recommend it.
There is a SkyTrain stop directly opposite the hotel, the staff at reception gave us a map and explained how best to get from A to B.
The delicious breakfast with a large buffet and great selection is on the 10th floor.
The pool is on the 11th floor, from here you have a great view of Bangkok.
Our room was modern and good, on the 31st floor - super great view!!
You can take the elevator to the 37th floor where the sky bar is, to get to the terrace you just have to walk up a few stairs to the 38th floor and the view is really beautiful (you can even see the famous Lebua at State Tower). The cocktails cost around €12-15 but they were really very, very tasty.
Basically you have to praise the staff here, no matter when and no matter who: we always had friendly and courteous staff.
Since our flight didn't leave until the evening, we were able to relax by the pool (there are showers that you can use and toilets there) and we were able to leave our luggage in the lobby for free.

I can only recommend the hotel for a stay in Bangkok.

Let's make it quick The positive first of these there are less: Room size top, staff friendly, modern and well located to Skytrain Chaophraya River and Bangrak.
Negative was a lot more: They wanted to offer us a room we had not booked with two queens instead of a king size, room one we got was dirty although freshly made. Room two was ok but also the bathroom read to wish just the bathtub but we did not use it.
Air conditioning goes off after a few hours as a timer is set but you can turn it off, because if this goes off it stinks completely of mold from the climate as it is dirty see pictures.
Pool is ok but for the hotel too small from 10am you don't get a lounger anymore.
Towels (look like scraps of fabric from see pictures) at three days at the pool we had to ask first each time with partly 1hour wait after 4 times.
Smoking option by the pool quite great with two chairs but you can also empty the ashtray more than once a day as well as the trash can.
Also, the tables after someone has eaten for hours not cleared, at the bar there is sometimes someone and if then on the cell phone you have to disturb the staff felt to get something.

Breakfast: Bacon clear if you ask and wait 5min (on all 5days), vegetables 3-4 varieties no more, egg station great but also slow, service totally overwhelmed with the clearing of the tables, coffee cups were on 2 out of 5days otherwise scarce. Pressed there were always only 2different, sweet also very small offer.

Rooftopbar: we wanted a nice drink up the cards and look shameful.
Staff there were underground as well as their English skills, on the prices come 10% service of zero is appropriate there and 7% tax as info.

The sparkling wine tasted like rotten plum juice without any carbonation, the WhiskySour was top, Margarita didn't go because kin tequila was there, Rum Cola also not there no rum and now the funniest no coconut milk there in Thailand which was needed for a cocktail.
We were better understood up there in another rooftop bar not only with showing on the map.

So everything just no 4stars and eigtl. also no three, we were in Thailand more often and you can then assess something.
Feels it is a hostel that is really good or a lesser 3 star hotel.

A lot of potential upside.

What about, the rooms are fine, breakfast ok, place not nice but well connected. The disaster is the reception, really bad in every way. Arrived at 9am from the intercontinental flight we are offered the (useless) upgrade of the room for having suffered it, in all about 50 euros for the two days of stay (never happened, usually there is a simple early check-in service for a fee), otherwise at 2pm, coincidentally the start time of the tour. The local guide himself appears embarrassed, I, regardless of the amount that as you can imagine in relation to the total cost of the trip is quite modest, I feel it as a kind of harassment and rejection. We make a few rounds to organize and at 11 am we are back in reception waiting, the space is rather uncomfortable and inhospitable. A receptionist appears, wandering among the people asking who is waiting for the room and takes a few names including mine, it is not clear in what capacity. Does he call someone every now and then, the ones who paid? At 13:30 a couple is called who had definitely not paid for the advance (they were in our group), I approach to ask for information and I am apostrophe in a bad way, I am told to return at 14, which is impossible because of the tour. Back in the evening (after the Royal Palace...) I finally get the key but for luggage, I don't know why, I have to go back to the same nice receptionist mentioned above, engaged in a nice conversation with some customers. At the hint of approaching my suitcases (they are there in front of me...) I am once again taken rudely. At this point the other receptionist intervenes who gave me the keys and understands my situation (finally a ray of light) she provides to give me the luggage. Conclusion: a hotel that I would never choose and that I do not understand how a tour operator can propose, the worst possible presentation on arrival in Thailand.

We stayed in an executive room, this was extremely spacious and comfortable.

Let's start with the positives;
The bed was amazing, I stay in hotels most weeks for work and have never slept in such a comfortable bed.
Breakfast has a great selection and brilliant egg station.
Reception staff are lovely and really friendly and helpful.
Location is great, right outside the station.
Pool area is nice and the sun loungers are comfortable.
Now the Negatives:
House keeping need to do their jobs properly, the rooms are not cleaned properly, long hairs on the floor, bits on the carpets and marks in the sinks bath, when pointed out the smiled but the floors were never cleaned or carpets vacumed.
On house keeping again, sometimes you get tea and coffee and another day not.
The pool waitress is always on her phone watching social media and never wants to serve you.
On the 2 occasions we used the pool there were no towels, again once you can drag the pool waitress off her phone she will get towels
Would I stay here again, probably not and that's a shame as I loved the location and also the rooms, however the housekeeping standards we experienced are too poor.

We booked a few rooms here for a family trip and we were all unhappy with the condition of our rooms. Mainly: they were dirty. I actually went out and purchased sanitizing wipes shortly after we arrived so I could wipe down all of the surfaces. The furniture had a layer of dust, the bathroom countertop had spots on it that indicated it had clearly not been cleaned. Floors were filthy. There were hairs all over the bathroom floor, and the carpet in the bed area had clearly not been vacuumed in some time.

Cleanliness aside, the roof top deck offered stunning views for sunset drinks. The infinity pool was also a big hit with our young son, as well as the adults after a very hot day of sight-seeing. Location was good. Breakfast buffet was generous and good. If our room had been clean then we would be inclined to stay here again or recommend it to others, but unfortunately we will look for another hotel if we visit again.

The hotel is generally very nice although the area offers nothing, but it is close to the metro. The reception itself is not very welcoming but the staff is friendly; the rooms are huge with the bed in the middle of the room overlooking the huge window and there are even two bathrooms. Breakfast is good but prefers salty and with little fresh fruit. The very negative thing was the absolute lack of flexibility on the availability of rooms before the scheduled time .. we were fresh from an intercontinental trip and we had to pay 48 euros to be able to have the room in advance.

Check in was smooth and assisted with luggage as soon as we got out of the car and up to our room. Room large and fairly clean. Very good view over the city. Had coke and sprite in fridge at a reasonable cost. If you wanted beer in fridge you had to ask. Free tea & coffee. We used the local 7 eleven to buy drinks for the room as very cheap. The room was nice and quiet despite being close to the lifts and the aircon worked well.
Breakfast had a good range of food for all appetites. If you couldn’t find anything to eat you must be a very fussy eater!
The view from the rooftop bar and restaurant were fantastic. However the bar and restaurant was very over priced! We had only just arrived and very tired so thought we eat at hotel. 3 beers, 3 margaritas and 2 chicken skewer meals were equivalent of £150. There are a few restaurants close by and we ate twice at Baan Chiang. On the last day we found more street food and restaurants closer to the river and shops to browse.
Adjoined to the hotel is also a nice coffee shop that do reasonable price food and drink. They’re open early until about 9pm. The beer was also cheaper here than the rooftop bar!
The hotel is ideally situated as the railway station is literally outside and you can walk to the river ferry within 30minutes.
Only issue they needed more lifts! At busy periods you could wait for ages and often the lift would stop at your floor and be full of people and suitcases. They were tiny lifts with no aircon. Would definitely come back again.

Hi Paul we stayed in this hotel for 6 nights beginning of February. There was no problem with Corona virus in the hotel or in the touristy areas then. The only noticeable thing was in the hotel most of the reception staff wearing masks so could not see faces. Also travelling in skytrain a lot of people were wearing face masks. We were not concerned then but the situation may have changed recently.
