Grand Hyatt Erawan takes all the accolades for great and excellent service. The staff at all the outlets are exemplary and the club lounge is perfect for business meetings or just chilling. The location is perfect and near many amenities and the restaurant You & Mee serves authentic Thai cuisine at very reasonable prices. Highly Recommended for both leisure and business trips. This is probably the best Hyatt in Bangkok.

We booked 2 rooms for 5 days at this hotel for our first trip to Bangkok. We chose it for the location and for first timers, it is perfectly situated. The hotel is beautiful with lush vegetation artfully arranged in the large, majestic lobby. It is centrally located in Bangkok, a 5 minute walk to the BRT (elevated skytrain), shopping malls, the Apple store, restaurants, etc. We caught the BRT to and from numerous attractions as it is cheap, air conditioned, and safe. We also caught taxis a few times and they found the hotel easily.

All of the staff wear masks in the hotel and request that guests do as well. Since almost all of Bangkok wears masks, even outdoors, while riding scooters and on the trains, this was in keeping with the local custom (perhaps legally mandated). We were fine with it, but if you have an aversion to wearing masks, this isn't the ideal time for you to visit Thailand.

There are definitely cheaper hotel options in Bangkok in other areas of the city, but since we had kids with us, we played it safe and this was perfect for our family.

The rooms are large by US standards and feature a nice sitting area with coffee and tea pots. Our rooms overlooked rooftops, so no great views, but perhaps you can pay more for better views.

The outlets in the rooms accommodated US and EU plugs so no need for converters, though if you are using something powerful like a curling iron, bring an adapter.

Breakfast was the star, even though the hotel only has about half the number of tourists they hosted pre-covid. We had planned to eat every meal locally, but breakfast in the hotel was so delicious with excellent variety, that we ate breakfast every morning there before starting our day. Even my picky eater kids raved about the breakfasts, which included plentiful American, European and Asian options and started at 6:30am. So I recommend getting rooms that include breakfast if that meal is important to you.

Note that the lower level of the hotel connects to a shopping mall in the rear, which we found when we were looking for pharmacy, so super convenient. While we really enjoyed the local markets, we found the mall behind the hotel useful as in addition to the pharmacy, it had an eyeglass store to fix my daughter's glasses and custom tailors if you want clothes made.

Used Patis Laundry to launder our clothes, as the hotel charges per item instead of per kilo, so the hotel's price is over 4x more expensive! Patis picked our clothes up at the hotel, washed, dried and folded them and returned them the next day to the hotel. They charge by the kilo and we paid about US$15 for 5 days of clothes for a family of 4, fantastic!

We didn't use the pool or the massage treatments so can't comment on those.

Many thanks to K.Peach who was very caring for my stay. He wrote a welcome note to me. He later called to ensure everything was fine. Then called again the next day to offered me a free breakfast.

The receptionists were great people. For example, K.MOT had shown me her usual welcoming charm. The checking out young man was a new unknown face to me, but he had tried his best to serve with good manner.

The housekeeping staff did all the right things - not a single defect or missing item found during my stay. Well done!

Overall, a great stay with a firm bed with well-adjustable airconditioning system that ensured perfect room temporature.

When I think of home
I think of a place
Where love’s overflowing...

These are the words sung by Dorothy as she clicks her heels in “The Wiz,” the brilliant, soulful musical adaptation of “The Wizard of Oz.” These are also the words I speak every time I pull up to the elegant and dramatic entrance to the Grand Hyatt Erawan, where I am warmly greeted by a bell team, concierge and reception team who instantly make me feel back at home, even before checking in. It has been a few years since I have allowed myself to publicly share my adoration and respect for the remarkable team that runs the Grand Hyatt, but I can wait no longer. This hotel, and the team that expertly and lovingly brings it to life everyday, are still the best of the best.

Grand Hyatt Erawan is that special kind of hotel that succeeds in delivering luxury without pretense. The staff will bend over backward to satisfy guests’ needs, and will do so with pleasure and pride. Nowhere is that more apparent than in the Grand Club Lounge, where the team and its leadership shine warmly and brightly every single day. The spa is superb, accommodating requests throughout the day and evening. The concierge, the front desk, housekeeping — they operate smoothly, efficiently and with a “guest first” point of view always.

Put simply, what one looks for in a “home” is found everywhere at Grand Hyatt: Care, attention, comfort, security and love. Don’t miss out on this one, folks - it’s a gem that still glistens.

We booked a Grand Executive Suite for 9 nights, and on our arrival were taken up to the 17th floor to be checked in. Whilst waiting we were offered refreshments, which was most welcome after a 2.5 hour taxi ride.

The suite was most impressive in size, fixtures and amenities. Although it was slightly dark, due to it being an old building, it had mirrors everywhere, throwing light in. We were never short of towels, toiletries and fruit. As an executive guest, we were also entitled to 2 pieces of laundry per day and obviously use of the Executive Lounge. The rooms were always cleaned to a high standard. The room could be noisy during the day and evening (overlooked metro line) but you were thoughtfully provided with ear plugs and metro didn’t run at night or the plugs were good!

The breakfast which was taken in main restaurant on the ground floor, was fabulous - both in quality to quantity of dishes. There were never any shortage of items, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Special mention to Patto who listened to a quibble and immediately acted upon it.

The Executive Lounge on the 17th Floor were manned by some of the best hotel staff we have come across, and we’ve stayed at a few Exec Lounges. Service here was wonderful, from the way you were greeted to how you were looked after. A big thank you to Gai, Vara, Chariya, and Gate. Our only quibble with the Lounge was the rotation of food served and lack of Thai dishes. When we mentioned this one evening, towards the end of our stay, we were visited by Chef Roberto who listened to us and invited us to a wonderful Thai Meal cooked by Chef Tum.

The pool was nice but the grouting in the pool could do with update. Liked how you were provided with chilled water at your lounger - nice touch.

This hotels strongest feature are its staff - from GM Edouard Demptos, to the consierge staff, who would always ask where you were going, could they get you transportation, to how your trip was. I can honestly say we did not come across one miserable, unhelpful staff. Unlike many hotels, staff took ownership of any issues and tried to deal with it. If we are ever in Bangkok, we will be back.

This establishment is well connected to sky walk. The skywalk will lead you jot only to BTS (sky train) but also to nearby shopping malls. Amarin Plaza, Gaysorn Village and Central World are within 150m radius.

We travelled with 3 young kids, youngest being 18months. The skywalk is really helpful as road traffic can be avoided completely. Skywalk can be accessed from Lower Lobby (LL) of Grand Hyatt, walk pass a restaurant and a cafe inside Hyatt, and there will be short staircase connecting to Erawan Bangkok. There is no ramp to allow you to push the stroller up the connecting staircase to Erawan building. But once you are in it, there is an elevator on your right hand side, take 1 level up then you’ll be able to find your way to the skywalk.

Ploenchit BTS station is the closest BTS to Hyatt (will be on you right as you exit Erawan Building).

24hrs Starbucks, McDonald’s and 7-elevan is located in Amarin Plaza behind Hyatt.

Room are quite spacious; unless you add a single bed in a king sized bed room, then it will be a little be packed. Hyatt was generous enough to offer us complimentary additional bed as my 6 y.o son prefers to sleep on his bed!

The swimming pool is also children friendly. Shallowest section is at 1.0m and it slopes down to 1.5m. There are a plenty of floats available for kids to use for free.

House keeping and front desk staffs are always ready to help you with smiles! But i must say the check-in waiting time was long (15mins) until i got saved by Ms. Mot. She apologized for the long wait and swiftly processed our room and we were jn our room 5minutes later.

Our room was at 10th floor and was facing Central World shopping mall. It gave us the perfect view of NYE fireworks! A place i highly recommend for parents with young kids who wants to enjoy NYE fireworks at your own room comfort.

The only downside is the bathroom. The water from shower area always leak out thru the unsealed part of the glass door. It makes the whole bathroom slippery. Looks like the floor leveling was more inclined towards the drain below the sink!

If you’re looking for Halal food, there are plenty around the hotel. The hotel have kindly sent in their room service menu upfront and declared their meat (chicken and beef) are Halal but the kitchen is not.

My kids, wife and I have enjoyed our stay with Hyatt. Will definitely make another trip here in the near future.

My first stay at this hotel and the location is awesome, right at the Ratchaprasong Intersection where you can connect easily to the Sky Walk, linking you to the Chit Lom BTS Station and many other malls such as Central World, Big C, Platinum Mall and even Siam Paragon which is one BTS Station away.

Booked a suite room and had my check-in done at the Club Lounge. Was attended to by Noot (or Nood) and it was a pleasure to meet her. She is very pays attention to the details, has a very warm personality and very organized in her work. She has been great help in assisting us, a family of five, in making reservations for restaurants and transportation around Bangkok. Once we had an issue conversing in Thai with the driver, we called her and she assisted us in speaking with the driver. My utmost compliments to Noot for being such a great help during my stay!

Room wise, we got a Grand Executive King Suite with a connecting room, making it a two bedroom suite. It comes with a living room, a powder room, a walk in wardrobe and a nice bathroom with a bath tub and shower stall. They are well maintained with good quality toiletries and other stuffs like Nespresso machine with capsules, tea bags and such.

The breakfast spread at the lobby restaurant is very wide with lots to choose from. The crowds are well managed and does not appear to be over crowded or with a queue forming at the enterance. The staff there are also warm and friendly, as with all the other staff in the hotel.

Truly enjoyed the stay here and looking forward to visiting again soon. Once again, my compliments to Noot!

I stayed with Grand Hyatt Erawan for 4 nights. Overall, I would like to give 5 stars but due to an incident on the last day, i give 4 stars to the hotel. The reason I deducted 1 star due to breakfast time. The tea cup served me which I found it dirty. Otherwise, this hotel definitely could score 5 stars.
Location... Location..location.... it is the best location hotel which you could access all the malls and BTS easily via sky bridge.
This hotel although its old, but I can tell you the hotel is super CLEAN especially the toilet. My stomach would tell me whether the toilet is clean or dirty. :) If the toilet is dirty, I could have constipation until I back home. Guess what, I have no constipation during my journey. I was on the cloud nine.
The bed and pillow are comfortable. Nothing I could point out.
The staffs are well trained and very helpful. Initially I wanted to arrange GRAB to airport but the price at the up side. So, I decided to ask Concierge to book a taxi to airport, the price is super reasonable and the driver get ready and wait for you at the lobby an hour before the time I booked.
From front desk, concierge, room service and hotel cleaning staffs are all well-trained. they are helpful, polite, knowledgable of their job.
The quality of people, building and services, I would say they are the top-notch in this industry. It is worth for the price.
Thank you for all of Grand Hyatt Erawan staffs who has been serve me and mother. We totally have a pleasant stay especially during covid time. You make us feel safe while staying with you.
We will definitely go back to Grand Hyatt Erawan again!

The Grand Hyatt is perfectly located in Bangkok only 10 sec. to the famous Erawan Shrine. Beside there are excellent shopping malls - so location *****!

The food is amazing ***** the breakfast offers Thai, Indian, Chinese, Halal and western items of course. A really great variety.
A machine that squeezes fresh orange juice right in front of your eyes so you know it’s all super fresh and healthy.

At the pool we loved that they had a lot of floaties and tools for our baby.

Overall the architecture and the hotel is really charming. The lobby is truly a Grand Hyatt lobby and the staff are so friendly and courteous.

We will definitely be back!

The showers need complete updating if the Hyatt expects to compete with all the newer hotels in the Erawan area. There are 4-6 hotels within walking distance who completed renovations during the Covid shutdown and who now offer much better value to business or tourism travellers. The Club Level lounge was once the domain or reserved, quiet business travellers. It is now the haunt of ravenous tourists who use it as a substitution for 2 meals each day - they pounce of the food in the lounge as if they hadn't eaten in days. The Hyatt needs to impose age restrictions and limit food and drink offerings to somehow regulate the extent of the churlish behavior now on display each evening on the 17th Floor.

I agree with ASK84, there is more variety at the Main cafe but enough options at the Club lounge, The waiters at the Club lounge more than make up for the fewer menu choices. In the main cafe the personal service is no match to the team at the lounge.

I took Thai railway between the two cities It was 415B each ticket and super easy. Comfy and scenic six hour ride daily. Cars seemed to be around 2000B, but decided against it because the drivers made me nervous.
