I picked this hotel having never been to Bangkok before as I was advised to stay near the Khao San Road. Very friendly staff, I was given breakfast vouchers but it wasn't really clear if you needed to pay for it or not, and sometimes there was a bit of a language barrier..
The pool and surrounding area was very nice, however unfortunately on my 2nd night there I fell down the very dark stairs in the hotel. For clarity, these are NOT fire stairs, they are carpeted stairs which are next to the lifts, so stairs which you should be able to walk safely down at all times. The end result of this was me having to go to hospital and requiring an "airboot" for damaged ligaments, and flying home to the UK 3 days early as i was travelling alone and it was impractical for me to get around safely on my own in Bangkok. I advised the hotel of what happened and while I am not as such blaming the hotel, the stairs were badly lit, the following night, after they knew what had happened, nothing had changed. I had tried taking photos but they dont show how dark it was. At the point of me having this issue, it became quite hard to communicate with anyone except for me to get extra ice from them for the swelling, and when i had decided to leave early they contacted Expedia for me and ask for them to refund me for the unused nights.
They arranged a cab for me to the airport and also helped me get my cases down to reception, but they would have done that even if I hadn't been injured.
My room was nice and I had paid extra for a balcony, it was fortunate that it was a large room when I was trying to get around on one foot, and also by chance the room had a shower which you could sit down in, which was a god send.

Good location, about a 10 minute walk from Khao San Road and the Giant Swing. Rooms are spacious, I like that the toilet and shower are separate and they give you a generous supply of bottled water. Around lunch time, there's usually a fruit vendor across the road that's sells pineapple and melons, a nice start if you leave the hotel after 12.

Staff are lovely. I went for my birthday, I didn't tell them but one of the receptionists saw my DOB when she printed my passport and I came back to my room with bunting, balloons and a little cake on the bed. Would definitely stay again

Luxury hotel with the best roof top pool. We have booked this hotel only for a couple nights but it was just amazing. Very luxury hotel in good part of Bangkok . The staff very friendly and helpful and rooms were just something different , so modern and the comfiest and biggest bed you can think of.
The location is also perfect as it’s only 5 min walk to Golden Mount, 10 min walk to Khao San Road (Street with many bars and street food) It’s about 1-1,5 far from Airport and taxi is about £600.
As mentioned the hotel has got roof top swimming pool with the bar. All was just excellent experience and definitely would come back .

Really enjoyed the 2 night stay here in Bangkok. Ideally situated for the Golden Mount temple. It’s a 20 minute walk to the N13 stop for the express river boat, which takes you to the N9 stop for the Grand Palace and Wat pho (reclining Buddha) temples. Boat trip costs 30 bahts per person. It’s about the same time to Khaosan road but the tuk-tuk trip there is much more fun! The breakfasts here were excellent, with eggs cooked to order. Bed was super comfy and room was spotless and spacious. Really good choice for a stay in Bangkok. We did request a late check-out (6pm) which they offer but couldn’t do that on the day as they were all booked up. No problem though because we booked one night in a airport hotel for a lot cheaper price and just checked out early to get our plane on the day.

Stayed here for 3 nights after arriving in Thailand.

Very smart modern hotel, great service from the staff. Lobby closes at 10pm but 24hr access via rear door and security staff.
Pool and bar on 5th floor.
Breakfast is a fully loaded buffet affair with fruit, cereals, hot dishes with your choice of eggs cooked to order, unlimited coffee etc

There is extensive, ongoing construction opposite the hotel where they are building a new underground train station which will, according to the staff, take 5 years to complete but I doubt that it will be that soon, so ensure you get a room at the back overlooking the canal as they work pretty much 24hrs a day.

As mentioned in Brian Gee's review on Google Maps the hot water fluctuates mid shower from cold to scalding and what I loosely term as Aircon doesn't have an Auto mode nor a heating mode just a fan speed and temperature setting which the system ignores and just keeps cooling the room to meat locker levels. I mentioned this to the staff, they said the engineers would fix it but nothing changed

There is a room safe but it is not fixed in so hardly a deterrent for anyone who has got in to your room to just carry the while thing out. It's not heavy and a battery disc cutter would make short work of the top.

Overall a decent "Marriott" style hotel for which I would accept a £120 a night charge in London or similar but it is seriously overpriced for Bangkok and given the choice I would have stayed somewhere else but wifey booked it. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Pros:
Great location, not too far from anything
Friendly staff
Excellent housekeeping
Lovely rooftop pool which we used daily
Decent sized room

Cons:
Breakfast was a bit hit or miss. Some days there was no or hardly any choice for vegetarians from the cooked food. On our last day it was much better. Just what the chef fancied making that day I suppose.

There is nobody on reception at night. A bit strange for an international hotel. We needed something after midnight but there was nobody to help.

They have a random pool towel system. It makes no practical sense. What is the point of making guests sign for towels if you don't bother to check them back in. Total waste of everyone's time.

The last one is not the hotels fault but it did make getting to and from the hotel more difficult. There are major works underway across from the hotel, and one lane is shut. Taxis have to go a long way around to get to the hotel and there is normally a traffic jam because of the works.

Having said all those cons, none of them are deal breakers. I would still recommend and might even come back.

This hotel is absolutely lovely, great location close to Khosan Road and many of the other tourist attractions Bangkok has to offer. Beautiful Rooms with the biggest bed I have ever seen and a rooftop infinity that offers stunning 360 degree views of the city! Amazing staff who are there to help all day.

Only down fall is that this hotel lacks atmosphere, it is very hot in the corridors and lifts in addition to there being no breakfast facilities.

Thank you Ayathorn, we’ll be back!

We had a King Room with balcony for two nights here.
The room was really comfortable. Big bed, good quality linens, good sofa and the shower was nice and comfortable.
The balcony with view over the canal was good to have and we sat out there watching a storm and was able to stay nice and dry.
Breakfast was ok but nothing amazing.
The rooftop pool area was a nice place to chill out though the pool did look a little murky.
Location is great, close enough to the main sights and lots of restaurants and bars within a 10/15 minute walk.
Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend.

Dear Ayathorn General Manager,

We just wanted to say a big thank you for an amazing 4 day stay at your most comfortable and clean hotel.

We are a family of 4 that stayed in two double rooms on the 6th floor of the hotel with views over the nearby temple (albeit blocked a little by the current construction project opposite). The rooms were so spacious, and fantastically equipped with everything you need including some of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in!

We loved the roof top pool with comfortable bean bags as well as the plentiful breakfast. Thank you!

Really friendly staff, clean and very spacious family rooms, good location close to most central locations. Internet was good, breakfast was good. The staff was so nice to prepare a take away breakfast for us for our 6:30am departure for a bike tour through the city.
