We very much enjoyed our stay in an executive room with lounge access - the premium paid for the lounge access was definitely worth it. It provides an extra option to have breakfast at the top floor (until 11:30 am !) and to enjoy an extensive evening reception (17:30 till 19:30) with an extensive and good quality food and dessert choice, as well as excellent cocktails. Staff at the lounge provided personalized service. The package also included 3 pieces of free laundry per day, which is well appreciated for longer stays.
Breakfast in the main restaurant (5th floor) was also of high quality. A great food choice, good atmosphere and attentive service. Clearly well managed.
Hotel location is very central and there is a direct link bridge to the BTS Skytrain, which is helpful as Sathorn Road can be very congested at peak times. Taking the BTS rather than a taxi is always the better option (also for the air quality in Bangkok, which is in bad shape).
We found the price / quality equation of the Eastin Grand Sathorn to compare positively versus many of the international hotels in Bangkok, where we stayed earlier.

Dear De_Frank, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your fantastic experience with us. Pros:
• Comfortable luxury hotel with large room and excellent price
• Good restaurant with fantastic buffet breakfast and lunch buffet
• Beautiful infinity pool on a high floor
• Location with private access from the skytrain
Cons
• Really found nothing negative…

We stayed here for 2 nights and booked a standard “superior room” on the booking.com website in January for 4500 baht (€120) per night: cancelable, all taxes included and with breakfast for 2. We have already stayed here for a few days. 2014. And we will do this again on the next occasion.

The 33-storey hotel is located within Sathorn district, 500 meters from the Chao Praya river with Sathorn pier and right next to Surasak Skytrain station with private and direct access. Large lobby area with bar on the ground floor and 4 fast elevators available.

Our room 2302 on the 23rd floor was spacious (28m²) and comfortable with a good, wide bed (1.80m wide) and parquet floor. good air conditioning, medium-sized flat screen TV, WiFi, coffee and tea. Pleasant view of the east and the +300m high Maha Nakhon tower with the glass viewing platform. The spacious bathroom with walk-in shower is very comfortable with bathrobes and slippers. Good blackout curtains.

The breakfast buffet is very extensive with a wide choice of rolls, cheese, charcuterie, warm oriental specialties, even an egg station and bacon. Good restaurant for fantastic lunch buffet at 975 baht/pp, reduced to 800 baht for hotel guests. Pleasant bar on the ground floor for your cocktail during happy hour.
Beautiful infinity pool on the fourteenth floor with a few dozen good sun loungers and spectacular views of the surrounding buildings including Lebua Tower,

Overall, we felt comfortable again at Eastin Grand Sathorn Bangkok. The location of the hotel is just perfect, especially if you use the BTS/Skytrain or the river ferries from the nearby Sathorn Pier (highly recommended!).

Breakfast is gigantic, whether classic European, Asian or Indian. Everything available, freshly prepared and beautifully presented to the eye. It is best to allow enough time and enjoy before 9:00 a.m. or from 10:00 a.m.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, no matter what area.

The room (not in the executive area) was nice and spacious, well equipped and very clean. It is also easy to order additional towels or room-in service with the hotel app.

Unfortunately, we have not received our desired room. Although notified in good time when booking and promised by the hotel "do our best to assign you the room as desired." However, this is complaining at a high level.

We can still recommend the Eastin Grand Sathorn 10 years after our last stay.

There's nothing within walking distance. There is a famous Thai restaurant next door called BLUE ELEPHANT. BTS is a must if you want to go to a mall where you can easily eat alone.
This hotel has only four elevators for the number of rooms, so I was frustrated by the elevators that don't usually come out, breakfast, etc. The restaurant serving breakfast has high ceilings, a bright atmosphere and a wide variety of dishes. The biggest surprise here was that despite the large number of seats, I also rolled up a place mat and took it with me as I cleared the table. It may be a given for hotels that charge 50,000 yen or more a night, but I think it’s not often that many places are that thorough with this amount. Thank you very much for the hygiene.

How about being forced to download the hotel app at check-in?
All you have to do after entering the room is to check the equipment and TV channels with the QR code.
Bed comfort, pillows are adequate. The shower booth is quite spacious, but the floor is too flat.
Please be careful as it is slippery. A rectangular towel for the face is a shame with zero fuzziness. There are bean slippers instead of slippers, but I preferred slippers made of general fabric because it is not a seaside resort.
The staff was Thai average and most of them were smiling and pleasant.

This hotel has an excellent location and value for money!
It's directly connected to the BTS station and is only one stop away from the water bus station, making it extremely convenient.
The rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast is fine, and the infinity pool is a little small but has a nice atmosphere.
I stayed here during the Obon holidays, and for this quality and breakfast included, the price of 14,300 yen per night for a twin room (7,150 yen per person) is excellent value for money!

This hotel has the absolute best staff and service. The quality of the breakfast and food in the lounge was as good as I've experienced. We were a family reunion between Ireland and Australia with my mother's birthday central to the gathering. The staff produced a birthday cake and candles, we all sang happy birthday, very special. It's location on the train line was perfect for the airport connection, and the concierge ensured we got competitive tuk tuk rates for all over the city. Thank you all 🙏🙏❤️

We can only echo all the laudatory comments that I have read here. Very professional welcome, large, bright, very well appointed rooms (lots of space to spread out your belongings, which is really practical if you stay there several nights), very comfortable bedding, beautiful bathroom.
Breakfast is a buffet with a wide choice, and the quality is there (delicious detox juice, for example... but the hot dishes are just as good).
The infinity pool and gym are very well maintained.

Are there two or three downsides? The sanitary products in the bathroom are unfortunately not very generous and of very average quality for a hotel of this level, and we would have liked a fruit platter to welcome us to the room. Finally, the excellent cocktails at the bar are served with poor quality plastic straws, neither ecological nor aesthetic. For this reason, the hotel should be considered more of a 4*, not 5.

But these are details, the general assessment is very positive. I will go back there.

A really nice city hotel with very good transport links. The BTS Surasak stop is right next to the hotel (even in heavy rain you will arrive dry). Surasak is only one stop away from Taksin, where you can reach the boats and the Icon Siam boat.
We had a room with Club Lounge access, which I can recommend without reservation. A comfortable bed, a nice bathroom with shower and everything on the 32nd floor with a great view of the city. In the lounge (also on the 32nd floor) breakfast is served from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a buffet and various à la carte dishes (various egg dishes or sweets or soup). In the evening there is a two-hour reception in the lounge, where you can enjoy wine, beer, cocktails or non-alcoholic drinks while watching a magnificent sunset and snacking on lovingly prepared delicacies. Soft drinks and coffee or tea are also available in the lounge during the day.
The staff in the lounge look after their guests individually and very friendly. This really enhanced our vacation in the hot and humid temperatures in May, we were able to relax.
On the 14th floor there is a fitness center and a beautiful pool with nice seating. Here too, the view is magnificent and the atmosphere is relaxed.
The Eastin Grand Sathorn is the nicest hotel we have had after several stays in Bangkok. We took the BTS to the airport, changing twice with the elevator, no problem at all. No traffic jams, no arguments with taxi drivers.

So glad I chose the Eastin Grand from the moment we arrived until we departed 3 days later we were treated to first class Thai hospitality.
On arrival you are treated respectfully in the wonderful traditional Thai manner & your luggage is taken to your room.
We stayed in a Executive Deluxe Double Room with Lounge Access, the room was large the bed super comfortable & the bathroom huge with a great walk in shower...everything was immaculately clean.
From the 3rd floor there is direct bridge access to the BTS ( Skytrain) which covers three provinces & will basically get you anywhere in Bangkok. Approx. 15 baht for one stop or you can buy the one day pass hop on hop off option.
A delicious buffet breakfast is included in your tariff with made to order eggs & coffee. The service we received in the Lounge was superb ,a special mention to Claire & Kukkai who greeted everyone with a genuine smile and who were extremely professional & efficient in their respective roles.
I can thoroughly recommend the Eastin Grand if you're looking for that 'special' hotel.

Our first time in Bangkok and the experience has been unforgettable.

We decided to choose this hotel based on a recommendation from a couple of travelers that we met in another destination in the country and the decision was a success.
From our arrival to the hotel, the staff was very friendly, pleasant and attentive in very fluent English speaking. The welcome was cordial and very polite at all times, which made us feel comfortable since the minute one.

They explained to us how to get around the city by public transport, giving us maps and some tips about how to reach easily the main touristic destinations.

The facilities were magnificent: spacious room, the matress of the bed very wider and confortable as well the pillows, towells absolutely clean and very clean and neat and tidy all the spacios with all kinds of small details for a five-star hotel.

Splendid infinity pool with a reasonable open timing and buffet breakfast in which not a single detail was missing both asian and western food, as well as its location in the southern part of the city connected directly to the building through a walkway with the train that made very easy both our arrival from the airport and getting around the city as well as the availability of an ATM in the same facilities.

The room service was awesome, fast and efficient in meeting the needs that arose during our stay (we asked for an iron and it was in our room shortly )

All the staff in all the departments were very friendly and polite in every moment, making a special mention of one of the concierge, Gabbi, who helped us with several calls in the local language and in an impressive brevity to sort it out how to rent a scooter in the city, thanks to him it made our stay in the city would be more enjoyable, comfortable and fun.

We will definitely repeat when we return to Bangkok.

We had a really nice dinner at Saawaan. Upscale and a bit pricy but so good. You need to make a reservation for dinner. Can also really recommend Kurissara Thai Cuisine. A bit away from the hotel but really nice. Very close to the hotel is Ban Chiang which was OK and fine for an evening where you are not upto much special.
