Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit is celebrated by guests for its prime location, with easy access to shopping, dining, and the BTS Phrom Phong station. The hotel's amenities, including a rooftop bar and live music, are often highlighted as top-notch experiences. While the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms are well-regarded, some guests find the rooms small and question the value based on price and soundproofing issues.
The service is generally praised for being friendly and efficient, though there are occasional lapses. The atmosphere, especially at the rooftop bar, is a draw for many visitors.

Detailed Reviews
Globalist Cash Booking
Upgrades: Hyatt Places are not required to provide globalists with upgrades, but they still proactively upgraded us to a room with sofa bed. They also gave us two drink vouchers that can be redeemed at the rooftop aire bar
Room: Clean and modern room with lots of natural sunlight. The room is extremely spacious and we enjoyed our stay. House keeping was friendly and attentive, brought bottles of water on a daily basis.
Breakfast: Lots of food options. We always went to the noodle station for noodle soups, they change the menu on a 3-4x rotation. It can get very crowded after 9AM, but the staff does an amazing job turning tables
Location: About 10-min walk to the BTS station, lots of Japanese restaurants nearby, but it’s pricey compared to local Thai food options.
Aire Bar: Clean/hip bar upstairs with an amazing view.
Conclusion: Hyatt Place in America is just a place to crash with mediocre breakfast options, but this property has proven that not all Hyatt Places are the same. It felt like a luxury hotel, highly recommend this property as it’s well run.

I stayed for a night last week for a short business trip, checked in at 7.30pm, checked out at 9am.
It was the first time I experience Hyatt Place, where I think Hyatt positions it as a Aloft/Ibis Styles type of products. The check in counter is blended with a small all day dining cafe/bar counter and a 24/7 grab and go section. I found interesting that they is a list a amenities printed out on the check-in counter, so that the guest can get them to the room, which is a bit like the Japanese Toyoko-Inn's style. I took the disposable shaver kit which is a nice touch for this class of the hotel.
There is no room-service provided, instead, you can go down to lobby to buy sandwiches or snacks at the grab and go section, or order some simple food at the cafe bar. Guests can also go up to the 28th floor Rooftop bar, AIRE Bar to eat, which I did. There are simple Thai and Western hot foods on the menu, and taste good.
The Rooftop Bar, has a very nice Bangkok City view, and very reasonable cocktail price at THB280 per glass. Very good place to relax or meeting friends.
There is also a small pool and gym located at Level 19 of the hotel.
What surprise me is the quality of breakfast, the selections and food quality were better that my expectation and they even have a noodle and egg station.
The bed was comfortable, bathroom is spacious, toiletries were ok.
The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from BTS Phrom Phong Station, diagonally opposite Hilton and 3 minutes walk to Emporium and Emquatier, which is super convenient.
A good option for my business trip in Bangkok.

For a Hyatt Place, this is one of the better ones. However, as a 4* hotel, it is fine.
Although they were efficient and professional enough, the check in agent was not as friendly as others at the many Hyatts I have been to. One of our rooms was not ready even when we showed up past 3 pm checkin time. The agent was trying her best to help us check in to one room but this was still an issue that I never expect at a Hyatt.
Room was well appointed, clean, and nice. The pool was very nice and tops most of the Hyatt hotels in the world.
Breakfast was amazing for a Hyatt place. There were many options, hot and cold, buffet and made to order eggs and noodles. The food quality was good. There was a line and the staff tried their best to help. However the seating and queuing system was very mechanical and not flexible. For example, two out of four in our family showed up first and we asked for a table for 4 but they insisted to sit us two first and make my dad and sister wait in line just to sit in a different table. Fine, they queued. However, there was an empty table next to us two by the time the other two in our group were next in line and they assigned this to a different couple despite me asking them to sit the other two next to us when it was their turn. Turned out, the couple was separated from their group too. We could have all waited but they never asked us to. In addition, for a hotel with hundreds of rooms and breakfast included, they need a bigger dining room. This is not a huge issue but still a funny letdown.

Dear duvu, Thank you very much for your observation of our hotel and reviewed. I am sorry to learn that all the room were not ready at the same time upon your arrival, However delighted to learn that our host team extend their caring by offer an alternative by giving at least one room for you to rest and relax first. Regarding to the queuing at breakfast, I am fully agreed with your point that we have table for two, for four available in the restaurant if we can manage the seating arrangement to match with the number of guest per table will be good for breakfast experience. Please rest assure that your feedback will be address to the team for training. We hoping that we will welcome you and your family back again in the future. Sincerely, Tanachai (Edd) General Manager

We were upgraded one room category to a “View King” room (I have Explorist status with Hyatt). We had floor to ceiling windows with views of the city and excellent blackout curtains. Inside the wardrobe was the ironing board and iron, a torch/flashlight and safe. The room also had a fridge, basic tea and instant coffee making facilities and complimentary bottles of drinking water. The shower pressure was INCREDIBLE - this was possibly the biggest surprise about the room and we both agreed it was the best we’d ever used ! No bath, but from what I understand, very few rooms in this particular hotel have bath tubs and all had been reserved in advance. There were waffle style robes available and some thin slippers, which we very much so appreciated. The shower had large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and there were bars of soap, shower caps, dental and vanity kits by the sink area. There were several hooks in the bathroom, a retractable washing line in the shower and a handy drawer by the sink with the hairdryer. There was a little note on the mirror outlining any extras available at the reception (e.g. lotion) .
Breakfast was included for us as we paid with points, but it seemed to be optional with the cash rates. Each day there was the a similar selection of fresh fruits, cereals, juices, pastries, salads, yoghurts and pre prepared oatmeal (made with both soy and cow’s milk.) There was a self service coffee machine with a variety of options (Americano, espresso, cappuccino etc). Our favorite part was the chef station. Each day you could have eggs (any style) and there was also a rotating East Asian option that was freshly prepared. We ate breakfast 3 out of the 4 days of our stay and had Kuay Jub, Kao Soi and a wanton soup. There was also a buffet with various hot European and Asian breakfast staples (meats, congee, eggs etc). Plenty of options for all tastes! The rooftop pool was small, but felt very luxurious and the views were incredible! Towels were provided and there’s a water fountain in the weight room (which is on the same floor along with the cardio room and exercise studio).
Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Everyone from the people who delivered water to the room to the breakfast staff to the receptionists were so friendly and polite. We had clear communication by email and they were happy to answer any extra qs!
Location is right by the Phrom Pong sky train and it was also easy to order taxis on the grab app.

My first time stayed at Hyatt hotel and I’m made the right choice of the stay because I’m satisfied with the room and the hotel. Well, Hyatt Place located just right at the golden triangle of Sukhumvit with 2 shopping malls connected with BTS Phrom Phong station. From the station, it just about 3 mins walk to the hotel, good location.
And the reception during check in staff very friendly and staff offered me room with breakfast even though I booked the room without the breakfast. Room is extremely clean and bed really comfortable, room amenities is satisfied. WiFi connection is strong and staying at highest floor we able to see the view of Bangkok.
Hotel breakfast is perfect with variety of choices.
And also, hotel with rooftop Aire Bar, nice rooftop ambience and drinks in reasonable price. This hotel have everything so no problems with it.
I’ll come back for the future stay for my business trip.

My stay at Hyatt Place Bangkok, Sukhumvit was an enjoyable experience.
The only negative point was in some spots the hardware and furnishings showed some wear and tear. For a lesser establishment these would not even be noticed but they are below the standard of what I expect of any Hyatt establishment. Probably, periodic surveys of hardware and furnishings are scheduled but should be done at an increased rate.
What made my stay an overwhelmingly positive one was the staff of Hyatt Place Bangkok, Sukhumvit. The entire staff were courteous, helpful, and strived to meet my requests. From arranging my room cleaning around my unpredictable schedule, providing a pencil sharpener extra towels and bottled water, making copies of/scanning documents, answering questions on local establishments, and educating me on Thai customs and practices the staff facilitated my working stay.
Worth mentioning is the included breakfast. The varied and tasty fare from the salad bar/fruit selection, the omelet bar, the bread pudding, and pastry selection were all freshly made and of fine taste. The local Thai specialties included in the brunch set the standard of quality for my local dining experiences. I very much appreciated the varied local Thai dishes I could sample as part of the included breakfast menu.
Of special note are two staff members that went above what any guest could expect.
The first staff member is Peter, the Lead Concierge. He is a Hyatt employee with a knowledge of how and where to do things in Bangkok for the experienced traveler. More importantly, he had the patience and skill to kindly explain to the clueless farang the practices and attitude of the Thai people. Several times Peter saved me a lot of time and expense by pointing me in the right direction with the right process to achieve my goals.
The second staff member is BK or Banana, according to her name tag. She worked both in the Aire Bar and the morning brunch. She provided exceptional service with her attention to detail. Her cheerfulness, constant smile, and general upbeat attitude made several tough mornings bearable.
Thank you, Peter and Banana.
When in Bangkok, I will again stay at the Hyatt Place on Sukhumvitt 24, mostly because of the excellent staff.

The rooms are very well insulated for noise, the air-conditioning is perfect, you will not wake up in the middle of the night feeling too cold. The toilet and bathroom is big, well lighted and ventilated providing good quality shampoo and soap and the labels are large enough for identification by seniors. The safe is well placed and convenient to use as it is just about adult eye level. The breakfast is superb. Value for money. only problem I found was that the pillows were to soft.

It is a good hotel, but please be careful with their “tricky” travel arrangement. My wife and I stayed at this ASQ. Prior to our booking, we were ensured that our transportation from the airport to the hotel will not have other guests. They said that they will arrange a van for us.
On the date of our arrival, I called the hotel from Tokyo Airport to confirm that our transportation is private and will not include other strangers. To our surprised, the hotel staff said that another guest/passenger will be joining the van. She said that the other guest just booked the hotel and will be arriving on the same flight as us.
I was so disappointed by the response. I insisted to the lady that we demand a separate van from the airport and asked her how Covid-19 can be prevented if she put us at risk with other passenger on the same van. The response was that we would have to pay an additional 2,000 Baht. At the end, it was negotiated down to 1,000 Baht to have the private van.
Once we landed at the airport, the van from the hospital picked us up while the other guest took the other van.
If you want a private van from the airport, please confirm this to the hotel. Otherwise, you may end up sitting with a total stranger to the hotel. The risk is that you may never know if that stranger has contracted Covid-19 prior to boarding this van with you. Good luck on your choice. Travel at your own risk to the hotel!

Dear travelfreedom2021, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us via TripAdvisor. We take on board your comments to one-way airport transfer sharing van (from airport to hotel) and we are so very sorry for the unpleasant experience with you. Please allow us to inform you that the airport transfer is basically arranged by Bangkok 9 International Hospital and they will consider to arrange the transport by matching a passenger with the same flight. While please rest assured the hospital is always vigilant to maintain a proper physical distancing in the sharing van as to ensure hygiene and safety for every passenger because the hospital is well aware of the current rapid mutated cluster spread of COVID-19 variants in the Kingdom of Thailand. Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit performs a middle man to keep a process simple as to arrange the transport as guest needed. We mention clearly about the airport transfer as a sharing van in our Alternative Quarantine flyer and confirmation letter at a booking stage. While an alternative of private van displays on those as well. You are enable to tell us at any time prior to your travel date that you would like to book the private van. In terms of private van of 2,000 Thai Baht net, please allow us to justify with you that the charge goes to the hospital and not to the hotel. In your case, we reduce the charge from 2,000 Thai Baht net to 1,000 Thai Baht net instead as the hotel absorbs one another 1,000 Thai Baht net for you as we do understand your situation. Although this is supposed to be one of the more budget-friendly Hyatt brands, this hotel has better service than most of the 5-star high end ones. The hotel is small, but extremely clean and the service is some of the best I've had. Every staff member is so friendly and helpful and they work hard to make you feel special and welcomed. The rooftop bar is also a really cool way to see the city, plus they have a pool with a beautiful view and an actually very good fitness facility. We stayed at a hyatt regency after our stay here, which is supposed to be 5-star, but the Hyatt Place was honestly much better in every way and I wish we could still stay there.

I've stayed at the location twice - the first time was one of the best experiences at a Hyatt Place; the second was one of the worst. The high floor rooms provide an amazing view and its location in Sukhumvit places it amidst the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. If you have a car, the parking is free, but you get what you pay for (it can take a while to get someone to assist you with parking and retrieving your vehicle). The front desk personnel range from pleasant to very welcoming. If you book a high floor room and are using public transportation, this could be a great value stay in Bangkok.

If they have room available they let you check-in early, I check in online and they have my room ready at 11am, maybe I'm Globalist member that help too.

Thank you
