Visited this hotel while going for a Himalayan trek. Stayed for a night. It was a decent stay. Room on the first floor was a bit small but decent. It had all the basic required amenities. Bathroom was small but clean. Staff was quite helpful. The dining area was nice. Being in Thamel area, everything is quite nearby and walking distance. Overall, it was a good experience.

Clean and comfortable room with air conditioning but bathroom looking a little tired. Good food and good selection at breakfast. Facilities for storing baggage when on trek or short excursions. Located in the busy Thamel area close to shops, bars, restaurants etc.

Had dinner at their restaurant on one of the nights in Kathmandu. They have both an indoor and outdoor seating. Their veg hariyali kebab and chicken sandeko were superb. Was amused that they named their dal ‘Dal Rani Mukherjee’. Haha! I absolutely loved the fish curry they had in the buffet that day.

This is more than an Inn. Its a functionable and good hotel. I first came to be accquainted with it in year 1990. Today the hotel has grown larger and stronger. The service has remained the same - very good and excellent personal care to the guests by the Hotel Management. Every trekker's dream to come out of your hotel and wah la - you are in Thamel the tourist belt of Kathmandu. Everything can be found there. The Front Office Manager - Krishna Gurung. I have seen him grow from a young executive to a Manager, what he is today. Excellent communication skills with all levels of international guests. Conveniently located and functional.

The good stuff: Perfectly located hotel with lots of things close by, like the Garden of Dreams and lots of shopping. Taxis are always readily available out the front too. The breakfast area/outdoor seating is really lovely and a peaceful place to sit and read a book if you need to take some time out away from the busy and loud atmosphere of the streets. Most of the staff are very kind and helpful, with warm smiles and a delicious welcome drink. There is someone on hand to help you with your bags and show you to your room when you first arrive. (I only had one negative interaction with a staff member who rather than helping me was being quite rude and seemed to not care about the fact I needed some help.) The room was relatively clean, well laid out and spacious enough with a great air con system. The hotel food/room service and breakfast was fantastic and the menu has a lot of variety. Including vegetarian and vegan options. The bad stuff: If you’re a light sleeper this is not the best hotel for you as the noise from the street, cars, motorbikes, people yelling can be heard all night and all morning very loudly, as well as the noise of people having sex in rooms close by and from the building next door. The bed was comfortable, however a little on the firmer side and had a damp smell like the sheets hadn’t dried completely. There were also stains on the bedsheets. The bathroom has a shower that is quite open so water does tend to flow out onto the bathroom floor so caution needs to be taken to not slip over. Also, the smell from the piping is a little off putting. After a shower it also seems to amplify and the bathroom is very uncomfortable to be inside because of the smell. There is no window and very poor ventilation available. Leaving the door open is not an option due to the steam and smell going into the entire room. The view from my room was looking directly into the windows of the building next door so the curtains need to stay closed at all times if you want any privacy. But since there is nothing to look at anyway you’re not missing out on anything with the curtains closed. The wifi constantly drops out, very unreliable and you’re constantly having to log back in.

I've stayed in this guest house twice. It is a very conveniently located guest house in Thamel, perfect for me to spend a couple of nights before and after my treks in Nepal. The best thing i liked about this place is their tasty Nepalese food. I've had some of the best mushrooms from the Himalayas here, and buckwheat breads.

When you check into a hotel, you hope to be greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. When I checked in, the staff was surly, and the bellboy showed me to my room but didn’t lift a finger to help me with my luggage, even when I was struggling a little down the steep ramps. The small carpet outside the bathroom was dirty and dingy and the housekeeping staff said they could not replace it. My room smelled musty and the bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke. I would avoid this hotel—there are friendlier, more comfortable hotels at this price point in Kathmandu.

Stayed here twice with a group. If you just want a room with a bed and a shower, this would be fine. The bed though is pretty hard. WiFi is very spotty. Felt like the rooms were dingy and needed a good cleaning. The AC worked so so. Would not have stayed here had it not been reserved for the group. Better options at this price point in KTM.

Stayed here before heading off on the Everest Base Camp trek. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was comfortable. I arrived at almost midnight from the airport and the man at check-in knew who I was before I even said anything. He had me checked in and in my room in under 10 minutes. After 2 long flights this was exactly what I wanted. I’ve never had a faster and smoother hotel service anywhere in the world. The room was comfortable but the bed is a touch firmer than I’m used to and the shower lacks pressure. But otherwise I can’t fault it. The breakfast is decent with a mostly western food on offer and the courtyard is a nice place for an afternoon drink. The only real downside was the noise from outside. There was activity in the street most of the night and early morning construction. But you’d probably hear that anywhere in Thamel.
