I stayed here on business for 5 nights and it was excellent. From the Comms from front desk to taxi pick up to security staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
The restaurant is open to the public and always busy and lively. Food was good standard and good price.
Service was outstanding. The security guys ordered taxis and went out to get me a couple of beers on the first night as I arrived after the bar shut at midnight.
The gym is well equipped with newish equipment.
Breakfast was buffet style and delicious. I’ve stayed in Kampala about 5 times and without a doubt this is my favourite hotel.
Thank you Joseph and team for making my stay such a pleasure!

Good central location at a reasonable rate as Kampala can be quite expensive. Staff need to improve their customer service and breakfast needs vast improvement. The choice of breakfast items, including hot and cold drinks was very poor. THe rooms are nice though and are a good size with a nice bathroom.

I booked the hotel in online and paid the amount to GO Ibibo.
But when I went there to check in. The Hotel did not got the payment from Go Ibibo. They forced me to pay it again and I paid.
This is very bad service from Go Ibibo

I've actually stayed here 3-4 times over the last few years. I had, had quite good experiences each time, including with a large group.
However, this stay I had no cups in my room and called down for one for coffee. I waited about 40 minutes before I went down and got them myself (not a big deal). Later, I soaked my feet in the washroom and thought from the shower. I found a hole in the wall leaking a sludge-like water across the entire floor.
Was pretty gross I have to say.

This is clean, budget hotel with a TV and satellite channels, a desk, chair, closet, aircon and mosquito net. Bed OK. It is very central, housed in a shopping mall with a great patio cafe, and mostly friendly staff (but see issues below).
The hotel will charge $30 for an airport trip.
Breakfast is VERY basic, starts at 7am:
It changes every day so the following list is not available every day: In all there are 4 main items plus watermelon and pineapple slices. There are scrambled eggs (little tasteless), or on other days boiled eggs, potatoes, or beans, or beef sausages, or chicken wings; or boiled bananas. Plus watermelon and pineapple juices, latte, coffee, or tea. They do not have sweetner, only sugar. They have slices of bread but no butter or jam. You have to pay extra for muffins, croissants etc
Breakfast should start at 6am if they want to cater to business people, since traffic jams are crazy and you need to leave early to get anywhere in Kampala.
The bathroom has a non-enclosed shower 'space' so the water spills onto the entire bathroom floor and floods it. They give you shampoos.
Be aware though of these what I think are more issues that may affect your decision to stay at this hotel:
-> No Elevator! You have to walk up a minimum of 5 flights of stairs a few times a day:
No online reviews or descriptions tell you that they dont have an elevator! It is only scheduled to be installed in April 2017 (maybe). Hotel reception is on the 2nd floor of the mall, and hotel rooms from floor 3 upwards. So look forward to carrying your bags up a whole lot of stairs in the heat and getting loads of exercise getting to/from your room. Not great in the searing Kampala heat. The 5th floor seems to always have very loud music playing.
--> Staff Do Not Respect Privacy Signs On Door:
I left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, and twice it was not respected by staff. The second time I found a maid in the room going through my things and asked her what she was doing, and why she didnt respect the privacy sign. Turns out she cant read (so she said) and didnt know what the sign meant. There is no safe in the room, so you are VERY vulnerable....
--> Online Description Incorrect:
Contrary to the online description on booking sites, this hotel does NOT have a spa or anything close to it.

Definitely not a bad hotel by any means, but it was a pretty bland experience overall. The room was solid but a little dingy, and staff were relatively straight to the point and by the book. Restaurant was good and well-priced, although the outdoorsy environment in the middle of Kampala's weather did not sit well with me. Wifi worked well but was a little slow at times. Overall not a bad hotel, but not great either.

Subtly located in the Kampala CBD this hotel offers guests a unique opportunity to sample the very best experience while on a business trip. The rooms are large enough will clean make up and free wifi. And I mostly enjoyed the hot water.
Only bad experience was the TV wasn't working due to poor configuration. It's a good place though for a business traveler.

stayed there 11 days. Located in a mall at Namanda place in the busy center.
rooms are nice and clean but the mattress was bad and caused me back pain.
Noisy and internet is available only in the rooms and not reliable. some rooms have no view.
Staff very friendly but sometimes useless and you have to keep reminding them if you need anything.
Breakfast: sausages, chicken wings, scrambled eggs, potatoes, Juice and tea or coffee. if you don take one, you don't get compensated with other things. I had problem with the breakfast most of the days. It starts late at about 8 although officially earlier.
Lighting in the bathrooms is too weak.
rates are about 45 $ for expats and 30$ for locals. Not a bad choice if you want to stay in the center but I moved out from there and found much nicer hotels in Muyenga, calm and good internet all day. I was like trapped there for 11 days.
