I chose this hotel for its location. Upon arrival I informed reception that I had a friend who booked me elsewhere and I wanted to see the area. They asked me to cancel my reservation with them. So I came back 2 hours later because I didn't like the apartment my friend reserved for me. Impossible to reserve a room for more than one night, zero consideration for the welcome and friendliness of the entire reception that Sunday. The answer we will give you a room for 160 USD while I booked on the hotel website for 136 USD. I send an email when booking. Sunday obliges I wait. Monday morning I ask for the manager, too bad no manager because she has to go to the meeting. The kinder supervisor is kinder, calls the reservation and finally they can give me my room for 2 more nights at the same rate even though it was impossible the day before. Reservation emails me 2 hours later saying they can't give me a room. The same person who validated on the phone before. In short, reservation and reception well above expectations. The team at the bar where I had my meals were not interested in serving the rare morning customers, too busy chatting among themselves and serving drinks to their friends in the kitchen. The guest relationship is good; helpful and friendly but you have to disturb her from her phone and headphones. The swimming pool is good and the lifeguards too. Relatively spacious and decent room. Cleanliness ok. Drinks in the room a good idea. Very generous portion of the dishes, average taste because you have to insist on reducing the pepper, salt and chili pepper. Average value for money because it is expensive for an aging infrastructure and staff limited in friendliness and helpfulness.

The hotel needs to improve on its standard of cleaning. It seems they rush over cleaning and dont pay attention to detail. had to request twice that the room be cleaned, I am talking about having dust around furniture, dust on TV screen (let us not talk about the limited viewing options). I guess I expected more. Their staff is very hospitable and their meals are great but room cleaning is poor

We stayed here for a night, knowing that we would be jet lagged after arriving in Ghana. They got a room ready for us which was much appreciated. The room was nice, and the staff were friendly and professional. We did have an issue with a leak in the room, and after our second call to the front desk, it was remedied by a technician. The lunch buffet in the restaurant was very nice, with lots of African options. We ate out on the patio for dinner. There were not enough servers and service was very slow. When leaving we asked the hotel to get us a cab for the train station. Since the cab originated from the hotel, we though we could trust the driver. We shouldn't have. He charges us four times what he should have. The hotel should not use disreputable taxi drivers for their guests.

This 4 star hotel is a dump, I’ve seen better student accommodation than the room we had, it felt very much like a college dorm than a supposedly 4 star hotel. I was staggered at just how poor our room was. Not only were half the lights working, the phone was broken, the safe didn’t work and we had no towels. Add to that you can’t charge food or drinks to your room without adding credit to your room first. Despite having all our personal and passport details they still insisted on having a credit balance. If looking at this as a potential hotel to stay at, don’t, move on

Dear Col, Thank you for sending us a review after your stay. It is rather unfortunate the lights, phone and safe was not working in the room. This could be solved by our maintenance team when complained to us. In as much as we try to provide outstanding services, sometimes, unforeseen circumstances occur which goes against what we stand for as a hotel and feedbacks like yours is what we need to make sure that such events do not happen again. With regards to the credit card guarantee issues, this is a general hotel practice that applies to visitors who come as a group, it does not apply to individuals. As majority of the time the company or agency will be solely responsible for only accommodation bed and breakfast with the extras being handled by the individual so in other for the guest not to check out without payment of their extras. We request any form of guarantee either with cash or credit card and then it is refunded upon check out or when extras are paid. Please bear with us as it is a world class standard. Please be rest assured that management has been notified and investigations has started and the right sanctions and steps will be taken accordingly to make sure this does not happen again. We do hope to have you stay with us again in the near future to give you much better experience.

Our group of 17 enjoyed a three day city stay for tourism. Reception staff is extremely professional, friendly, and efficient. Our rooms were large enough for a double bed, soft enough, desk, twin size sleeper sofa. Rooms offered a city view or pool view, tea and coffee service with kettle, walk in shower, toiletries, mini frig, large screen TV. The toilet is in a separate room from the shower and sink. Lobby is spacious with a few separate sofa sitting areas, and several pieces of African sculpture and art that merit a careful art walk. They offer a fitness room. We enjoyed daily breakfast buffet with great assortment of pastries, salads, smoked fish, bacon, omelet station, baked beans, cereals, oatmeal, fresh and dried fruits. One style of coffee and black tea is self serve. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful. The dinner buffet included a variety of local foods like jollop rice ( tomato based rice), local fish preparation, and traditional offerings of tender chicken, salads, breads. The dessert section offered 10 different small bites like mocha cake, crème brûlée, strawberry so we prepared a plate of each item and shared them. Alcohol service includes local and international beer, wines, and liquors.
Additional charge for the swimming pool.

I came to Accra for a business trip and Accra City Hotel was the perfect place to stay. It was very close to the Accra International Conference Centre and in walking distance to some key places to see like Makola Market and Accra Art Centre. Food in the restaurant is amazing, both local food and international, and they even had live music on Friday and Saturday night!

I was here for a conference and I received value from this hotel from both the cost of the room facilities available and provided as well as the services delivered from staff. Highly recommended. If you want the kempinski or Movenpick feel without the cost, try this place.

I wandered into the lobby Sunday evening and was mesmerized by the magic of the spell cast by a jazz singer in the lounge
Yomi channeled Ella, Aretha, Billie and more accompanied by a superb jazz pianist. Wow!
The rooms are adequate and clean, breakfast is excellent, nice gym and pool and good tennis court with a superb coach, Abraham!
But even if you don’t stay, do go Sunday nights for amazing singing, jazz and atmosphere in the lounge

A restful, quite and enjoyable weekend it was - just what I needed. Totallyenjoyed my stay.
As usual the food was on point; staff generally warm and the room rooms and entire facility was clean at all times. No funny smells along the corridors (snickering)
I even discovered the cosy meeting space behind the bar. The colours and the space is so very apt for the after work hangout or yoyr everydsy hangout
Well what can I say…..??? Happy customer🥰

Basic enough hotel for sleeping but the hotel environment and rooms are a bit run down and definitely need refurbishment. Standard of food was reasonable. The location of the hotel is good. Standard of customer service was also reasonable and they worked hard to find a room for an early check in.
