You have to come here at least two person. Nice bits: This hotel has Fabulous Chinese food. Rooms (spacious, A/C cooled) and charging outlets for your devices. Not so nice bits: The hotel is situated in a noisy part of town that is walking distance to everything. Beach is just a stone throw away. But prying eyes made the walk uncomfortable.
Great experience and wonderful staff! My room was big with enough cooling AC. The wifi was strong. Free coffee and tea throughout the day. Shared toilet and bathroom were always kept clean. The best accommodation in Djibouti for reasonable price.
Basic, but very clean room and premises. Air conditioning. Good internet connection. Very pleasant Chinese breakfast. Residential area, 200m from public beach. Effective, friendly and helpful management. Excellent value for money.
I almost didn't stay at this hotel. Pictures in a hotel booking website looked horrible. It looked dark and lonely, really like a haunted house. However, I wanted to have Chinese food during my stay, so I gave it a try. Surprisingly, this hotel turned out to be one of the happiest hotel I've ever been. The hotel owner (Mr. Lee) and his manager (Mr. Wang) were super friendly and took very good care of me. The Chinese food provided (as optional) was awesome. Plenty of delicious dishes with good steamed rice and buns. I ate a lot and was so full. After dinner, I had a good time drinking Chinese tea and chatting with hotel staff and other guests. Mr.Lee was a very funny person. He's also friendly and chatty while Mr.Wang was a bit quiet but really helpful. Even rooms and hotel amenities were not luxurious. But compared to Djibouti standard, China Town hotel was a good value hotel. The room was spacious. It had more than enough A/C outlets, working air con and strong WiFi. The hotel situated in a quiet neighborhood, 5 minutes to the beach, 15 minutes to Ethiopian embassy and Somaliland diplomatic mission by foot and 20 minutes to downtown by bus.…
very nice and polite owners. Rooms are air-conditioned, food is perfect. Internet superb. Not that, what you usually get in that part of Africa. For a very good price. All together really wothfull and good.
