This hotel meets and exceeds all standards of a 4 Season Hotel. Ride to the airport about 45 minutes. Unless the drive stops to see an animal which is great! There is a shop that sells clothes and other usual shop amenities. The animals do come up to the water to drink which we could also observe from the room. The pool and area are well kept and beautiful The atmosphere was relaxed. The staff was extremely friendly, relaxed and fun to be around. Nothing worse than a stuffy staff that never smiles. The hotel has an informational center that gives your great info on the Serengeti and its animals. Excursion: You have an option of morning or afternoon or both, last about 3-4 hours. Snacks and drinks are provided. The transportation is very comfortable. I was worried about the bathroom situation but Davis put me so at ease, I immediately relaxed and felt comfortable. If you are lucky, you will have Davis as a guide who was born to do this and has been doing this for many years. Being in his company, you really get a true feeling of the Serengeti. So knowledgeable and such a wonderful person, we loved having him as our guide. The Hotel- beatiful rooms and grounds. Everything was maintained as one would expect at a 4 seasons. At night, the Massai will escort you to the rooms with a flashlight which I absolutely loved. Food- Breakfast was a buffet with a egg/omlette bar, the rest is ordering as if in a restaurant. The food was the quality of a fine dining restaurant. Vegans/Vegeterians will not go hungry and will have their own menu. If nothing is on there you like, they will work with you. The Vegan/Vegeterian food was excellent. You will find local options which is great. Service: Airline lost my luggage. The staff took care of me as only a 4 season hotel staff can. They gave me what they had (toiletries/clothes) and even fought for me (James) with the airlines. I never did get my luggage but staff was so helpful, I felt bad that I inconvenienced them (managment, if you are reading this if there is anyway I can give Frida $20 tip, please let me know. I didn't get to see her again). I absolutely loved seeing the Massai people on this property. Having them on the grounds made this trip very special for me. You must see their performance, that alone was worth the trip to Africa. Thank you Emmanuel and Daniel for the fantastic ride to the hotel. Papa, the absolute best bartender and the rest of the staff (and yes, managers too) that made this truely a wonderful experience. You went above and beyond of a 4 Seasons Hotel and made this brand proud. My first trip to Africa and all I can say is WOW! African people did not disappoint. The Safari Lodge was absolutely incredible. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with our requests and even treated us to a 5-course dinner on the house! The Safisha cleanse at the spa was amazing and the atmosphere everywhere was luxurious. Breathtaking views from the room's balcony to include baboons walking on the roof and a herd of Cape buffalo below the deck. We loved the Safari Lodge!

If you can, just book it without doubt Besides the exciting African experience you usually expect from such a lodge, this hotel shows one of the best service in any detail. Stuff everywhere is so naturally service oriented and ready to assist with any question and request. And please ask for a “bush dinner” , the best unforgettable experience! Just thank you for our memories!

This lodge is the real deal. From location to service and variety of activities, everything was simply perfect. The hotel combines the local essence without compromising luxury. You are in the middle of wilderness but still receive top quality culinary choices and exceptional service. We spent 4 nights and did more or less every safari there was to explore. We highly recommend the walking safari in addition to the normal game drives as it is much closer to nature and you see animals off the car roads. Food was amazing as well. Seriously, there is nothing which they haven't thought of. You are even picked up from the airstrip with beer and snacks. Hands down, the best hotel experience I had in my life (so far :D)

This place is next level unbelievable in every way! Let's start with the staff, because they are what makes this place run. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and anticipates your every need. Huge thanks to Wilson, Abou, Peter, Sophie and Mustapha who took great care of me and my wife during our 3 night stay. After recognizing we love an early start, Abou opened the breakfast doors for us, had a table ready, and whisked us (our preference to be fast!) in and out each morning. Sophie helped plan a poolside dinner (protip- book it!), and Wilson's staff is so well trained and attentive to all guests. Mutapha and Peter catered to our dietary needs, one of us being celiac and was all over it. The rooms are spacious, clean, very well decorated, and even regardless of if you have a close or far walk at night the Maasai are there to escort you safely. The pool is a great place to relax after a game drive, the water hole an added bonus and views of the plains for days! We also checked out the spa for a couples massage which was also amazing and super relaxing after a number of days with long drives. Saving up to return, only thing I wish I had was 1 more night!
