What's great about the hotel is firstly the STAFF can't even begin to enthuse enough about the service from breakfast, taking your food to the table to the valet who were super helpful - always happy to drop us at locations and sort absolutely anything. Roof bar is amazing although music just maybe 1 decibel lower. Rooms although Nobu have taken this over it was another brand before so I think I was expecting new when in places it seems a bit tired, this aside the beds were super comfy and super king - robes and toiletries available. Spa was amazing Rizo (not sure if that's how it is spelt) did an amazing Hammam and a good price at about £40 needed after a day walking round. Adnan, Jamal to name a couple of the staff who made our stay incredible although to many to mention. Thank you again. Super safe - super trendy - amazing staff.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the first Nobu in Africa. But I was so impressed. Dining is superb with the same attention to detail and quality you’d expect at any Nobu. The rainbow sushi was superb. The design of the restaurant and bar lounge was also impressive. The hotel has a rooftop pool terrace with a restaurant - the Rooftop Garden. The Moroccan food here was excellent - and beautifully presented. The views from up there were amazing. Inner pool area has daybeds and the vibe is lovely with DJs. Our suite overlooked old town and the tower of Kutubiyya mosque. Spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Good location to walk to the medina as well as enjoy the restaurants and shops of this upscale district. Overall had an excellent stay.

We were a female couple and stayed 1-4 April on second floor. We booked through a UK respected website with "included" massage and breakfast. ***Pros - good location (4euros into town by cab) and you can walk in 15mins, very luxe and decor fab, bed huge, Dinner at Nobu amazing, cute snacks. Very good massage, though they don't warn you it is pretty full frontal towards end. Beautiful traditional lute player guy sits and plays at breakfast which is very meditative. he was my fave thing about whole stay, something meaningful and kind and human. Hasna Qarrou and Redouane Bijji booked us a transfer from airport and chased us up on it and gave instructions, Good! Breakfast - good omelettes, good little gluten free pastry station for me! Really made a difference. Great fresh health juices. **Average - Bath a bit grim and tiny. Could do with losing the bath tucked into corner and just having walk in shower. Sliding doors to bathroom would mean you can actually walk into the bathroom *and* open toilet door inside. As it stands you can't. Breakfast was a pretty small buffet, fruit not fresh/sour, usual cheeses, pickles and faux pork cold cuts. They can make you fresh pancakes so ask. Some traditional Moroccan veg stews. Cheap generic cereals for kids, croissants and pastries. Fun pool terrace at top was full of pretty grim sweaty people with tattoos all over and lip filler. Banging music, decent beats. Very expensive drinks - £7 for a tiny pineapple juice as cheapest item. Never enough loo paper or water in rooms. No milk for tea/coffee but they did bring up cold milk and hot milk for free. *Poor - System/Bookings! I attempted to book everything in advance I really did! Booked dinner arrival reservation at Nobu restaurant in advance and they replied to me confirming 21 March at 00.03 UK time. On arrival for dinner, absolutely no booking logged and they were fully booked. Later they proved they had booked it and confirmed it internally but the booking simply never showed up on our arrival. I got cross and they fitted us in. Then, I tried to book spa in advance of visit. Loubna barely replied properly after 3 attempts "you can book in advance". Yep that's what I am trying to do Loubna! Which massage is included in our rate ? Can we see the menu? Useless. We tried to book on our first morning instead. Fully booked for our stay! I got cross. They booked us in at 2pm on our last full day. We rushed back from town in a taxi after lunch, arrived at 2pm. The booking was made at 3pm by mistake. Thus the trip to the pool terrace to wait and expensive £20 wasted on unneeded juices. The woman at desk said the massage was indeed included in booking and as proof, we were only allowed one particular massage in that deal, a full body relaxation massage. Ok. Then we booked our return taxi transfer midway through our stay, and during breakfast on day of departure I went to check it was all in order. No transfer logged, no car to airport. A long drawn out conversation and lots of faffing, and the guy on desk said he had been here at time of us booking it and he doesn't recall it happening, smiling. Really stressful. I'd had enough at this point and we got bill thinking we would grab a dodgy cab outside instead. On paying bill, the 2 massages at £70each were added when they were meant to be included. A long drawn out conversation minutes before we needed to leave. Always this slight accusation that you are lying. Why would I fake a dinner reservation, a spa reservation, a taxi booking. Why would a high end hotel imply that? Really crass. We had to call the UK company we booked with for ages, and they sorted massage thing. And then I just layed out for him how bad this hotel was. EVERYTHING had been screwed up by them. I looked him dead in the eye and said "are YOU going to charge me fully for all this?". He made some calls and took the £30 transfers off our bill. The transfer car miraculously appeared. I think he took off something else. £100 off bill because I insisted, and lots of apologies. Unless you get angry and stressed, they don't assume the bad service is a problem. It really was a bit Faulty Towers. So word of advice - come for the glamour and the serenity, eat at Nobu, but don't assume bookings will be adhered to, or that you can get in if they have not been adhered to. Ultimately, if you pay a lot for a service, and you get less than that service, you need the price adjusted accordingly and immediately. That didn't happen and it shocked me. Hotel not up to Nobu standards, but the restaurant was. It's a great restaurant, with great architecture, and a fledgling hotel.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay here for my husbands birthday and the whole holiday was simply amazing. The moment we arrived for check in were greeted with Morocco tea and a relaxing ambience we knew we had made a wonderful choice. Our room was beautiful and we had requested one on a lower floor just because we had seen previous reviews about noise from the rooftop and so we had a room on the first floor and it was perfect. The highlight of the hotel is the rooftop, we spent far too much time up there lazing round the pool and working our way through the wonderful wine menu. The food was spot on and the drinks were even better. The whole week was made for us by the service, and it was all down to the wonderful Salah and Foand. I cannot thank them enough for their attentiveness and I hope that the hotel sees my review and passes on our comments as I want them to know they made our holiday simply perfect!

Close to city center is always a good idea for a short stay. We booked two junior suites for two nights. We had come from Rabat (Conrad) for three nights on the ocean. The markets and mosque and parks were close enough for walking. We booked a tour with a guide recommended by the concierge. Our guide Abdelilah was excellent. (I’ll include a picture of his business card. ). Our first evening was spent at the rooftop bar. The views are outstanding and we got that garden type of atmosphere. It was easy to slip in and out of the pool and have some drinks and life faire. There are large sun beds. We later ate a meal there, along the outer deck, the tables are plentiful. Service was very scattered, and disjointed. I had the sole, it was very good. My husband had a dry, chewy octopus, my son had a lamb shank. Our second night, we neglected to reserve dinner plans, and since it is Ramadan, we ended up on the rooftop again. This night, the service was good, fast, efficient and with some charm. After, we lay about on the sun beds taking in the music and people. Breakfast was excellent with made to order eggs/omlettes. The buffet had a good cheese, fruit, yogurts, cereals, breads, vegetables, sweets and Moroccan faire. Coffe is excellent. Service is excellent, well executed. Our room was good, large space, small table and chairs near balacony. The bath had a bidet along with a toilette. A good size tub and large shower head combination ( a little squeezed it, by more that enough). The amenities included shampoo, conditioner and soap. Lotion too. Two bath towels only, wished we could have one more. Coffee is nespresso, good teas and includes a tea pot. Turndown included chocolates or dates along with water. The spa includes a large lap pool, large hamam spa, jaquizze, sauna and steam room. My massage was excellent. I enjoyed the waters and relaxation room. Next time, I’d swim some laps. Service overall is good. Except my husband accidentally pressed ‘no’ service button. We asked for service, didn’t receive. Our turn down attendant was able to replenish all but the tea. Oddly enough, chamomile tea is what we wanted. A call to the desk, was answered but we never received. Oh well, overall great attentive service.

Long weekend (3 nights/ 4 days) to celebrate my birthday with the family and we had a fabulous time. The hotel is a short (15 - 20 minute) car ride from the airport. The moment we walked in the porters and concierge greeted us warmly and the reception team arranged mint tea in the lobby while we checked in. We had a deluxe one bed suite on the third floor and two junior suites for the children (19, 18, and 13). All of the rooms were lovely, although if you can get a one bed suite the bathroom and space is much larger than the junior suites. Our room looked out on to the street and the kids looked over the ground floor pool. I have seen others mention the noise but we never had an issue. Yes, there is noise from the street with car horns etc but this is Marrakech so you expect that! And yes, on the third floor you are just under the rooftop lounge and you hear the DJ music but we loved it and the music is only really loud for a short part of the evening. The curtains are total blackout and we slept very well indeed. Breakfast is a buffet with an omelette / egg station which is cooked to order. The selection is fresh and delicious and the service friendly and attentive. We very rarely managed to get back to our table without Aziz taking our plate from our hand and insisting that he take it for us. Aziz was one of the standout members of staff, always smiling, always checking on your table, and always bringing a fresh coffee before you even ask for it. A really lovely genuine man. We ventured into the City each day, the Medina is a 20 minute walk and the YSL museum and gardens about a 40 minute walk, and we felt very safe wondering around on our own. We came back each day for a late lunch on the Nobu rooftop - pool, bar, and restaurant - which serves lovely bar-style food and sushi. We made a point of sitting in Luheila’s section every time as she was so smiley, super efficient, and really looked after us. We were only there for a few days but Luheila, Aziz, and the barman downstairs (sorry I forgot your name) remembered what we liked to drink each time we saw them! The rooftop is fabulous, relaxing, amazing views, great music from the DJ! We ate in Nobu Restaurant on the first night which was stunning. We live in London and have eaten at Nobu many times and the food in Marrakech was similarly great. It’s not Marrakech prices so expect to pay, but it is very good and the wine selection excellent. Aissam served us and took amazing care of us, thank you! The second night we ate at Al Fassia restaurant, a 10 minute car journey, and Redone, the Concierge, arranged a car for us with genial ease and gave us the driver’s whatsapp number so that we could ask him to collect us when we were finished. The third night we returned to Nobu Restaurant but this time ate in the Lounge, less formal, just round the corner from the main restaurant, a DJ playing, and open to the side making it a smoking restaurant (we are smokers). Despite people smoking, as the doors are open it never felt too smokey! Aissam saw us walk in and remembered us from two days ago and came to greet us. Despite him working in the main restaurant, he settled us at our table in the Lounge and organised our drinks and made sure we were looked after, what great service! The restaurant manager himself took our order and kept checking back on is, really made it special! Every evening after dinner we went back to the rooftop and had after-dinner drinks (maybe too many but it was my 50th birthday weekend!) and loved it. DJ playing, not so loud that you can’t talk, and Abdco and Alaoui looked after us extremely well bringing heaters around our table and blankets (it can be a little windy) and making sure we wanted for nothing. We did have one issue with one of the rooms our sons were staying in, nothing worth mentioning here, but the response from Jesus, the rooms manager, was fantastic! Such a nice man with a genuine concern and understanding. He is a true hospitality professional and he personally came back to find us on the rooftop and one evening at dinner to ensure we were happy and that everything was good. We went down to the Spa one afternoon which is probably the only downside of the hotel for us. We didn’t have treatments, the girls used the steam room and us boys used the pool. Overall, it didn’t feel like the experience matches the rest of the hotel. We weren’t welcomed at the reception, we assumed the lady wondering around in a bathrobe was a guest as she just looked at us and kept wondering around (turns out she was staff). We eventually found the pool (not very well signposted) and the pool is nice (a bit on the cold side but nice) but there was a mountain of used towels and no clean ones, I went back to the Spa reception to ask for towels and the same bathrobe lady was insistent that there were plenty despite me saying there were none! To be fair, another lady in uniform took control and said she would get me some, which she did. Overall, I would say that this hotel is fabulous! Disregard the pool/Spa comments because you are not coming here for a basement Spa! You are coming here for modern 5 star luxury. It is not a traditional 5 star, it feels boutique, but is looking to be more on-trend with great tunes, great service and looking after your every need! The lounge / bar downstairs is relaxed and quiet , the rooftop is modern and buzzy, the restaurant and Lounge are fabulous. It is probably aimed more at grownups but our youngest had the most fabulous time and never felt out of place. Amazing staff, amazing service, we loved it, and thank you to the breakfast team for wishing me happy birthday on our last day! I highly recommend staying here!
