Le Meridien N-Fis hotel location is close to airport and Marrakesh’s landmark attractions. Directly across the street is Menara (shopping & restaurants) Mall. Hotel’s spacious lobby was comfortable. Concierge was helpful in hiring a taxi for us. USD could be exchanged to DH at front desk. Lobby ATM also worked for us and was charged a 50 DM withdrawal fee. Le Meridien N-Fis garden grounds were lovely. Two bottles of water were left in the room by daily housekeeping. Sufficient complementary toiletries were available during our four night stay. Room’s decor was a bit dated and in need of refresh. Though selections were repetitive, daily breakfast was pretty good. There was an outdoor omelette station. Additionally a local woman made fresh bread during breakfast.

I’ve stayed at the Méridien many times since the early 00s. It used to be a really good hotel , but has REALLY gone downhill. This time, I took my own family (visiting before as a boy), and as they say some things are best left in the past. The gardens, pool and facilities / location make this still an interesting place to visit. Value for money was also not bad … and breakfast was great. However - the rooms are just so old, out of touch and whilst service is polite, nothing else seems to function. I sat by the pool for a few days and the pool restaurant was hardly open. To get served you needed to go to get it yourself from the inside bar next to the lobby…!? we ended up just eating at the mall across the street instead of having lunch by the pool (because it was shut during a sunny day with many guests by the pool (?!?) Room: slack. our hairdryer didn’t work, we kept having to request coffee which never arrived, we wanted an extra towel for our baby and each night had to remind them , same as the coffee… the phone didn’t work so to order room service we had to walk to the lobby - room service meal arrived with a beer and no beer opener… no garnish with the club sandwich and very half hearted sandwich effort. a very poor show for what I know was/could be a great hotel, used to be 5* but now more of a 3* hotel. Unlikely to return

Arrived and room was nothing like photos. It was old looking, dark and just a concrete barrack room. I then asked and had to push for another option. They only gave my family a renovated room at 3 times the cost. Bait and switch in my view. Spoke to manager later and he said that is what they have. I would avoid this hotel until they fix this model.

We stayed here during a 4-day stay in Marrakech. Overall, our experience was mixed. What we liked: Location: On the plus side, this hotel is in a convenient location, being only a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport, 10 minutes from Medina (the old city) and 10 minutes from the new city. It is also conveniently located across the street from a major shopping centre with popular eateries and a Carrefour grocery store. It was very easy to get to and from this hotel, it is well known and all taxi drivers know where it is. The hotel staff were great in that they would find you a taxi and agree a fair price for you in advance (50 dirhams is the average fair rate between the hotel and most places nearby during the daytime). We also walked to Medina on one occasion and it took approximately 30 minutes. Gardens: The gardens are well kept and absolutely beautiful. It is a lovely way to start and end the day and we really enjoyed sitting outside and had drinks in the lounge space by the pool, which overlooks the gardens. Personalised Bar Service: Our most notable service was from Abdul who managed the hotel bar. He was always so welcoming, attentive and went out of his way to deliver great service. We recommend trying the Moroccan Rosé if you visit. Multiple housekeeping cleans per day: Housekeeping visited the room regularly to freshen up the room. They brought roses on our first day and throughout the stay would make the bed and leave flowers. They did a good job of keeping things tidy for us. Despite rooms being dated (more on that below), housekeeping really did their best and took their work seriously. Marriott Bonvoy Benefits: For Platinum we were given a welcome gift, free breakfast and late checkout. The breakfast spread was very nice and they even had someone making fresh local flatbreads and a person who dispensed fresh Moroccan mint tea. Unfortunately, a room upgrade, despite being available was not provided. What we disliked: Very outdated rooms: Most of the rooms are very dated and in some cases in disrepair while they await full renovations. If a high quality room is important this may not be your hotel, at least not until all the rooms are redone to the new Atlas room type. Also, don't count on an upgrade to this newer room type. We are Marriott Platinum and have spent over 400+ nights at Marriotts and weren't provided with an upgrade to one of the newer room types even though they were showing as available online. Disrepair: The water pressure in the shower was comically poor. This is likely due to the age of the room and it was unlikely to be fixed with a maintenance visit, so we never bothered to raise it as we were out and about most of the time. Noise: The sliding glass doors are single pane and not good at insulating noise. Also given the age of the room, the window seals are likely worn. We visited during ramadan, so in the evenings when people celebrated the breaking of their fast and enjoyed their evening festivities, while we were in bed it sounded like they were in our room (not exaggerating!). It all got more quiet after midnight but you could still hear the occasional car or siren. If you are a light sleeper this may be very problematic. Inconsistent Service: Some people we interacted with went out of their way to deliver great service and others weren't all too helpful. For example, it took 2 days to get a bar of soap to the room. We were locked out of our room due to an issue with the key systems on our last day which delayed us getting to the airport. No one apologized or acknowledged the problem at checkout. Not all bank cards work with the atm in the lobby. This proved challenging when we were short 20 dirhams for our taxi fare on the way out and the hotel wasn't helpful. Fortunately, I had 1 card that managed to work - it would have been helpful if the hotel could have provided us cash and added the amount onto our final bill. I understand this may be viewed as unfair for me to expect from the hotel but this is something that other Marriott hotels provide or they offer alternative solutions. The front desk in general could use additional training and be more empathetic and kind. Would I stay here again? It depends on the type of trip I'm on. I'd consider staying here again if we visit Marrakech and spend most of our time away on tours & excursions and returning to the hotel for cocktails, wine or a light meal. I think it's a good option given location, the breakfast, gardens, and lovely bar & restaurant staff. Despite the cons, we overall still enjoyed our time here. If I were wanting a more luxurious and relaxed trip where I spent most of my time on-site and not leaving the hotel much, I would likely look elsewhere.

Great hotel. Good location and nice property. Loved the on-site restaurants. Jasmin was our favorite. Aissam provided excellent service and absolutely made our experience. He was very attentive and friendly. The food was also fantastic. We will be back!

Beautiful hotel with excellent location and fantastic facilities. Located just a few minutes walk from the Old City entrance by La Mamounia hotel this hotel is adjacent to the Westfield style Menara Mall. The Le Meridien N Fis is an older hotel with beautiful and extensive gardens with large swimming pool and clay tennis courts. Two very good restaurants and an extensive buffet breakfast. Excellent and friendly staff. Very professional and helpful. I stayed in an Atlas room with garden view.

Subpar for a Marriott brand. Hotel badly needs a refurbishment. Rooms and corridors are old and worn. Opening the faucet let out a stream of brown water. Carpets were filthy. On the plus side: very kind staff for the most part, great breakfast spread and nice common areas. As a platinum member, even though the hotel was mostly empty I was not offered an upgrade even though I requested it on check in.

Upon arrival at the hotel. I had to wait whilst the one member of staff was serving someone else. After a good five minute wait, I was acknowledged and allowed to check in Early check in with no problem, however the room provided was absolutely not what I had booked on the app. The room was dated, old and smelt of hash/weed despite it being a non smoking room. I then advised them I wasn’t particularly happy and the gentleman at the desk suggested the renovated rooms that are shown in the images are actually double the price, I was quite annoyed about the whole ordeal. I was then asked if I wanted to pay double the amount and get the renovated rooms. However I said this is something I need a few minutes to think about. After a conversation with a lady staff member I asked to speak to a manager who then decided to allow for us to stay at the renovated room. The renovated rooms aren’t stunning but definitely way better than the original rooms in the main building but I would not say they’re worth double or even 10% more of the price of the other rooms as although new and a lot better, they are still nowhere near as modern or as traditional you’d expect being in Morocco. They’re average dorm style rooms for the U.K. standard. Small, nothing special. I was also told the property does not accept monzo, which is bizzare because I travel quite frequently for work and tend to use monzo as my primary bank. I then had to opt to use a different account which incurred me further charges and a larger than the value of my reservation hold was placed onto my card which was also a first for me. We then were told the room was ready, but To my shock on arrival to the room it was not swept or hoovered and after my arrival into the room the housekeeper knocked to come in and clean the whole room and replace the fridge that was filthy and not working. I proceeded onto sunbathing in the afternoon at the pool area which was decent interms of cleanliness and upkept well. However, had to fetch towels at the opposite end of a large pool area. Ordering drinks was also a faff because the older genetleman server would not leave his air condition cubicle and stayed there the entire time, meaning I had to constantly go back and fourth to collect drinks and order them. I was also provided glass tumblers by the pool, which one of them broke due to the heat and lack of tables (was placed on the floor). I had to pick glass pieces by hand and deliver them to the cubicle where the gentleman server was hanging out. Not an offer to clear it up or provide assistance or even check if I was okay or if anyone was hurt. I was instead made to pay for another drink and despite explaining that they should not be giving out glass by a swimming pool (common sense), it seemed like it blew over. After a few drinks I requested some bar snacks, nuts or crisps and was rudely told to go visit the mall opposite the hotel to purchase some if I wanted them as they only offered food. I found the attitude and lack of customer care really shocking and this was literally just day 1 of my stay. I’m yet to see and witness what more it has to offer. I am hopeful that this will be something that will be resolved during my stay, but so far I would not recommend the hotel at all as the customer service is appalling and it all seems self service which you clearly would not expect at a 5* hotel. I’m shocked that Marriott actually put their name to this property because if I was Marriott, I wouldn’t be showing off this property with any pride at all. That was only a few hours into our stay, the staff need serious customer staff training. The only staff member that was smiley and happy to be there was the man at the bar in the evenings. Ilham the guest relations manager did offer a fruit basket and a cake for my friends birthday which was a sweet gesture, but it didn’t compensate for the fact that everyday we had to endure staff rudeness. The staff at breakfast (Miriam) rolled her eyes when I asked if they had a bigger cup for my morning coffee, which was quite embarrassing for myself as a guest and was instantly told no, they don’t have larger cups. I was asked by Karim(not sure if this is 100% his name but one of the security staff) if I would like to smoke hashish an illegal drug and that he could get me some nice stuff which wasn’t expected at a Marriott property, he then proceeded to ask me for a cigarette which was also extremely unprofessional. The food and beverage manager listened to our concerns one evening and did absolutely nothing about them, neither did he check on us throughout our stay, so wasted our time discussing an issue we had with Leila at the bar where she basically charged us incorrect amounts for our drinks from the menu and stated despite us ordering from the happy hour menu which was on the table, she said the pricing of the drink was different as we ordered at 4:50pm and happy hour started at 5pm, despite our drinks arriving after 5pm. Which was also bizzare and made us sign for our drinks by 5:30 because her shift ended however we were still there at the bar but she wasn’t having any of it… it felt rushed and she wanted to get us out… The assistant director did listen to our concerns and provided us with a 30min massage at the spa and a 30min facial. Alongside a late checkout. It was quite a disappointing stay overall. I didn’t want or expect anything to be done, however as a silver elite I expected more from the hotel interms of customer service. I felt over my 4 days at the hotel I spoke to 4-5 people complaining which really wasn’t ideal and something I wanted to engage in, but it felt like if the staff behaviour was of such calibre in January when it’s their off peak season and the hotel isn’t busy at all then what would it be like when it is busy during peak seasons. Whilst I appreciate the effort from ilham and the assistant director I still feel that there was a lack of empathy and urgency in taking the issues onboard. Another point to mention is the property does not accept monzo. Which is also extremely bizzare as you can use monzo everywhere else in Marrakesh, however the hotels machines would not accept it. As a frequent traveller I often rely on monzo for competitive exchange rates and this was again another disappointment

While the lobby is good, the rooms look very aged. We were upgraded to the renovated room. But the bathroom wasn't renovated. Of all the 5 Marriott hotels we had stayed in Morocco, this was probably the least. Hotel lacks the Marriott Bonvoy promise that you would expect. While some of the staff are good, others seem to care less. Our checkout experience really felt like staying at a local property. I think there's lot of work do be done when it comes to hospitality and I sympathize with some of the reviews seen here. However, the property itself is nice, quite large with beautiful gardens and courtyards to walk around, free gated car parking etc. Breakfast was also good but when you stay for 3 nights and every morning becomes the same, it gets a bit tiring. I really do think they could play with some dishes every morning. Other than that, it's not a bad place to call it a night here with a mall right across the street with several food options and a giant Carrefour for packing things for the road trip.

Avoid at all costs. There is a reason why this hotel is so much cheaper than other hotels in the city. We booked a room and as soon as we arrived and saw the room we decided to cancel. The lobby is nice and the people are kind but the hotel is not worthy of the Marriott name!
