We travelled as two female friends to Marrakesh looking to experience the intense chaos of the Medina with an oasis to retreat to at the end of the day - this Road did not disappoint.

Collection from the airport via the Riad is essential. You will not find the Riad without help. The driver waited 3 hrs at the airport for our delayed flight and still welcomed us with a big smile, we were then met in the Medina by a gentleman who popped our bags in a wheel barrow and lead us safely through the souks to the Riad. We were welcomed by Mohammad with a big smile and mint tea - perfect!

The Riad is a peaceful, safe oasis tucked away amongst the intense medina. The decor is traditional with a little western influence and there are thoughtful touches everywhere you turn. Lots of places to relax and a beautiful rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the city. One of our highlights was listening to the call to prayer at sunset on the roof - an unforgettable experience.

The Habibi suite is lovely. There are 2 double bedrooms with a seating area between them. The bathroom has a powerful hot shower and lovely toiletries and soap provided. The rooms were turned over daily by the housekeeper with fresh towels provided. The suite was spotlessly clean.

Breakfast was just wonderful, Fatima is so kind and hospitable. It was fresh, delicious and served with a smile. We booked dinner one evening and it was the best food we had tasted in Morocco. Fatima set the table up for us beautifully and waited on us all evening, we felt like royalty! We had a super early flight on departure day, Fatima and Mohammad sent us off with coffee, pastries and fruit.

Yes, the Riad is hard to find but once you get your bearings, it gets easier to navigate. A map of the city is essential. Our ONLY little suggestion would be for the Riad to supply guests with a map with points of interest highlighted which would really help.

Do not hesitate to book Sirocco d’Amour Riad, you will not be disappointed!

Sirocco d'Amour is a gem.
I am so glad that I discovered it. This is not my first visit to Marrakesh, and Sirocco d'Amour is the best riad I stayed in.The riad is very conveniently positioned in medina and close to many museums and shops. Old Marrakesh is very intense and vibrant city, so it was important for me to stay in the oasis of peace and calmness. Sirocco d'Amour is a cocoon for tranquility, style and heartfelt kindness. Their motto is “ You come as a guest, and leave as a family member.” I certainly felt it! Housekeeper Fatima makes the most delicious breakfast and serves it with so much love. The place is styled with great taste and has many cosy areas for relaxation. The riad is spotlessly clean, bed is comfortable and I was impressed by the shower pressure, bearing in mind, it’s in the middle of a very old city..
Watching the panoramic sunset on riad’s roof is not to be missed!
I visited as a solo female traveler and appreciated that everyone at the riad made me feel very safe. They have a great network of trustworthy drivers, so I did not have to worry about my security during transit.
I would also highly recommend Sirocco d'Amour for retreats and family/ friends gatherings/events.
One other thing I want to mention, that this is very ethically aware business. The owner is a western lady, who takes great care of all members of the staff with thoughtful generosity and kindness.

Spent two nights here early April. The two bedroom suite is perfect for a family. All staff excellent including Fatima who taught our kids in the kitchen. Ground floor area and roof terrace really nice spaces to relax. The included breakfast was very good and the evening meal was the best we had in Morocco. Very helpful organising transfers from airport, onwards to next hotel and a tuk tuk driver for days out to palaces and gardens which were beyond our family's walking distance. Overall whole heartedly recommend and will hopefully be back soon.

I and my adult twin nephews stayed here recently. We enjoyed the relaxed and friendly vibe and it was nice to have a breakfast that was a slight variation on the typical Moroccan breakfast. I didn’t see my nephews’ room but mine was spacious and comfortable. There were various nooks and crannies for reading or relaxing other than the main courtyard or one’s room. I have checked out a number of riads in Marrakech. I felt there was a certain freshness in ambiance at this Riad.

I also thought it was a good option for Australians who might just need a bit of a relax at the beginning or end of their journey to/in Morocco, in an environment that is both exotic and intriguing but also which has something familiar about it, which this Australian-owned riad is likely to be able to give them.

Room Tip: They serve pavlova 🎂 here but probably need advanced notice if you’d like them to make it for you.

This is a real amazing place in Marrakesh; rooms and place are enchanting, large and very clean. I won’t forget the super tasty dinner prepared by Fatima (don’t miss her cous cous!) breakfast is delicious. Staff is prepared and helpful to organize tours in town or outside. Super recommended.

We never imagined to find such a quiet, beautiful riad in the medina which is close to everything. Lovely staff, beautiful breakfast and super clean and well styled rooms. Definitely not to be missed. We loved the pool, roof terrace and had a delicious dinner by the fire.

Stayed here with my daughter in the Habibi suite and enjoyed every minute. The riad is beautifully decorated, calm, spotlessly clean and has THE nicest staff, Abdelli, Fatima, Latif and Medhi.
Breakfasts were amazing and we had dinner cooked by Fatima on our last night which was delicious and excellent value.
The only negatives I would like to mention (which in no way detracted from our stay) were as follows. The habibi suite has aircon but only in the lounge area which means the 2 bedrooms can get hot during the night. The lighting is poor and there is very little storage space. As many others have said, the riad is very difficult to find and I would not recommend it to a lone female traveller purely for this reason. There were 2 of us, but even so, the narrow street back to the riad was intimidating especially after someone tried to steal my purse.
Having said that, the riad more than met our needs and as long as you take note of these negative points, you will have the best time and will fully relax. The perfect base for exploring the craziness of the Medina and the square.

This riad was well beyond any expectations: it's strategically located near any point of interest in the city center (spice market, suk, secret garden etc), the managing and janitorial staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, willing to accommodate any requests, and available 24/24.
Fatima, the lady in the kitchen, deserves a special mention: her traditional and homelike cooking will give you a real taste of marocchine's cusine, spicy and heartwarming like nothing else we found outside (and we tried several restaurants).
The riad itself it's a real gem: consisting in two different floors (plus the breathtaking roof where you can relax or have dinner enjoying Marrakesh's skyline still being in a very soothing environment, sheltered from the noise of the city) with a small but enjoyable pool on ground floor and a really well furnished common area with a fireplace (extremely suggestive in the cool evenings of the low season). All rooms we were able to visit (we were 3 couples) are finely furbished in a elegant yet traditional flavor, were clean, tidy, and with at least one windows overlooking the inner court, all bath's linen was replaced daily.
In addition to all this almost every kind of activity from hammam to resturant, camel ride or city tour can be booked via riad's staff and will grant you a special attention.

Absolutely recommended!
