This was a dingy room and a very scary place to stay.

I strongly recommend staying elsewhere and paying a little more. But the reality is, on washington road (which is the heart of Augusta, GA) most of the hotels in this price range are pretty bad.

I hate writing bad reviews but no. Just no. I called the 800 number and made a reservation for one night - two adults and a dog. I was given a price of $48 which included a $10 pet fee. We got to the hotel, made sure to ask the manager if the reservation showed that we had dogs, he said yes so we paid the $48 and change. As we were unloading the car, the manager came out and asked if we had dogs, then proceeded to charge us another $15 after we'd already told him we had dogs and he said he saw it on the reservation. As for the room, it was awful! The toilet hadn't been flushed, the carpet was horribly filthy, there was grime on every surface, the bathtub was horrendous and the tile above the shower was stained and looked as though it would fall down at any given moment. The blanket was very thin and rough and the sheets had cigarette burns on them. Needless to say, we slept in our clothes and didn't shower there. Oh, and lastly, as soon as we got out of our car we were greeted by a man asking for money. Definitely not worth $63. Don't stay here.

I had booked two nights here at via last minute.com. Travelodge abandoned this place some time ago despite the pictures on Google. We ended up staying for about 6 hours before escaping. The room door was unable to be secured, we had to jam a chair under the handle to stop people coming in. The toilet pan was wobbly and the seat had only one fixing so you could not sit on it. Black mould around the bath, stained frayed carpet, large cobwebs and disgusting stains on the furniture. Exposed live wires on the hair dryer and mirror surround. Deaf cock roaches on the carpet, live ones under the bed. The car parking area has old mattresses and rubbish strewed around it, with drug users clucking in the area. What is particularly disappointing is that after complaints lastminute would only refund the one night we didn't stay and they also " believe that this is still a 3 star hotel and represents good value for money ". I won't book with them again. The staff are useless, if they don't like the question pretend to not speak English, refused to give a receipt acknowledging our early departure.

We stayed March 22 -25, 2016. First room, had definite bed bugs, my daughter is on medicine from the bites and we found a shell. Miserable. Moved us to another room, and when we walked in there was a man on the toilet using it and said "I am just chillin". Don't know how he got in there, he was not a guest. The front desk was very unhelpful stating they didn't know how to respond to it. The man stood up and walked out when he was done. I had to request another room. I was told that I had to talk to the manager the next morning. The management was apologetic and offered a one night refund, which I have yet to receive. Management also stated they had just hired four new housekeepers. I believe they have some serious issues with transients and the people they have hired. We saw one of them allowing her friend to eat the free breakfast after management left the first morning. As for the man in the room we were given, they are clueless as to who he is and where he went or how he got there. Very unsafe!! I called Wyndham Rewards and was told someone will call me by March 31, 2016, they could have cared less. I would look elsewhere, even if you have to spend more, do not stay here, not only do they have some serious cleaning issues, its unsafe!

We stayed in the new wing and the shower curtain rod was falling off the wall. They painted over all the bath holders. Made the bed without pillow cases. The managers did not speak English very good. Never go back!!!

I was attending the Masters and the hotel was recommended as a decent value for the inflated charges all geographically desirable hotels get during the week. The room was run down and the bathroom reminded me of my fraternity house. The windows were thin and I could here the band from the bar next door and the conversation of the other guests outside. If you at going to the Masters it is convenient.

I arrived after midnight, and at that point was only looking for a clean bed and bathroom, which I had neither in my first room. The bathroom had not been cleaned at all (and recently used), and the sheets, carpet were dirty. I am not particularly picky, but this motel does not compare favorably to Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn at all. It is more like a rent by hour type place that needs to be torn down! I slept in my clothes and coat, the place was so nasty, even in the second room they switched me too!

First, the rooms did not match the photos on the site. Some complaints included: torn/frayed carpeting, dirty, no electric on one of the rooms, smelled of smoke, all in all a dingy look.

We elected to move after one night and the manager was reluctant to allow this until I showed him the confirmation clause. Then he refused to credit half of the bill. You charged $876.12 for 2 rooms, 2 nights. Instead of a fair $438 credit, he would only credit $400 and said that "they" would charge the additional. This is unbelievable for a Wyndham hotel. Personally I feel that you owe me at least $438. Actually, a full refund would be fair since it was such a negative experience.

Stayed with longtime friend in Room 110, along with his brother and son in Room 111...we were there for two nights for the first practice day at the Master's....our toilet was obviously totally backed up upon arrival and first night, maintenance worker(?) used plunger for several minutes, saying he'd return the next day to completely clean out toilet while we were at the golf course...ceiling above shower was collapsing but we overlooked that problem...while brother and son were getting ready for shower the next morning in Room 111, they found fecal matter, apparently from our toilet had been plunged into their bathtub... Augusta health or state officials should shut down this nightmare or bring it up to code as soon as possible before someone gets very sick.

We just stayed here to attend a practice round day at The Masters. This is a once in a lifetime trip for me and my parents as we are life-long golfers and we finally got tickets to a practice round via the tournament lottery draw. We were first very disappointed to see that there were minimal rooms available in the city during the tournament, and the hotels that were available were completely overpriced. Our rate for this hotel was around $275 per night plus taxes. After arriving we realized that we were staying at a very poor hotel, this room should be no more than $50 per night. It was a very modest room and the smell was not very pleasant (it smelled like 10 pounds of carpet fresh was spread on the floor). I understand that this is a huge event for the city but to charge nearly $300 per night for a hotel of this caliber is borderline criminal. It's too bad because obviously you have to be very wealthy to afford to travel to this city for this event—even if you're just coming for a practice round.

If I had to offer any advice, it would be to avoid this hotel—even if it meant staying in an outlying city instead of staying near the course.
