Cleaning crew have let things go a bit. Grounds crew use shopping carts to move yard tools. There is a service room which looks like they sweep dirt and dust in there. Sticky stuff stays on the floor in front of the elevator for days. And be careful asking the night/early morning crew to do anything out of their routine; they might do it or they might act they they do it.

Based on previous reviews, our expectations were low. We were very pleasantly surprised! Starting with Elizabeth, who checked us in and spent several minutes locating our IHG member number, which, as she said, was important because we were staying in a 2BR 2BA suite for 5 nts. The hospitality of every staff member was good to great. This was Thanksgiving weekend, so we expected to see less staff. Not so. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Rachele, our housekeeper, introduced herself and told us to let her know if we needed anything. We were advised in writing that there would not be housekeeping onThanksgiving, but if we needed fresh towels to notify the front desk. Breakfasts were nice-sausage or bacon every day, plus the expected cereals, yogurt, waffles, etc. Beer, wine and snacks at hospitality hour. Please give Staybridge Augusta another chance. Maybe not Masters Week, though.

+1
The hotel is semi clean at best. A lot of smears of stuff on elevator walls, sticky floor through main hallways. Food and mice droppings as wells as water, garbage and mold under and around the fridge. Opening under cabinet where garbage has accumulated. Morning breakfast is cold and served to you. Do not ask for more than they dish, the servers are very rude. The night desk staff has been less than helpful. The morning staff act like it is an inconvience to assist. Staff parks in the handicap parking spots with no handicap plates or stickers. The advertised photos are not representative of what the rooms are now. When asking for assistance with mouse and mold problem, was told to switch rooms at 9 pm to a lesser room than what we have and was told tomorrow someone would come look at the mold and mess. Housekeeping was very nice, but they are stretched very thin. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you have low standards.

This place is decent. During COVID nothing is normal, so its hard to say what the cause of somethings are. The place did seem to have limited cleaning staff. So, the hallways needed to be vacuumed. Our room was a nice size but not super clean – trash under the pullout bead, hair on the bathroom door, counters not super clean, the hair dryer was broken when arrived (they came and fixed). None of these were major but again, it was not as clean as I am used to. The staff at the desk were super friendly with any requests. We had a suite and it was a good size for a family needing 3 beds (2 beds plus a sofa). I would stay here again – simply due to the room size.

I spent four weeks at this hotel in September 2024 during my travels for work. As a seasoned IHG guest, I can confidently say that this establishment stands out—though perhaps not for the reasons one would hope.
Let me begin with a topic that truly merits attention: emergency preparedness. During my stay, Hurricane Helene swept through Augusta. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the hotel was equipped with absolutely no emergency lights in the stairways. While the hallways featured red “Exit” lights, the stairway descended into pitch-black darkness, reminiscent of a horror movie. I navigated the four flights of stairs while dragging my heavy suitcase; I am surprised I wasn't injured.
It seems this hotel is managed by a family that could write a book titled "The Art of Frugality." This was evident everywhere, from the use of environmentally questionable styrofoam dishes to the outdated refrigerators and dishwashers. In my fifty-plus years of life, I’ve never encountered appliances quite like these. And let’s talk about breakfast: instead of individual yogurt containers like you find in most IHG hotels, we were treated to a communal yogurt bucket. Picture this: I’m trying to scoop some yogurt into a cup to take on my early morning commute when a strict breakfast lady appears, wielding rules like a medieval knight. Apparently, using a tall coffee cup instead of a styrofoam bowl is an offense, and I need to "follow the rules" and use less expensive styrofoam bowls for yogurt. Who knew breakfast could be such a high-stakes affair?
The customer service could use a sprinkle of friendliness. While the younger staff members were friendly, the older ladies at the front desk were gloomy and unfriendly. To top it all off, the manager promised me points for opting out of housekeeping—but those points are apparently lost and never reached my account.
In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to fellow business travelers or anybody, for that matter. If you enjoy navigating dark stairways, stringent breakfast protocols, and a dash of questionable hospitality, this might just be the place for you! Otherwise, I suggest looking elsewhere for a more welcoming experience.

Upon arrival of our family Christmas getaway of a family of 5, we were greeted with the lady at the front whom we seemed a bother too, then we gather our belongings and head to the room that we were assigned too, after an inspection of our room we found that it was filthy… Soda cans under the pull out, lighter, balls of hair, marijuanas droppings, and the bathroom was untouchable also. I called the front desk to let them know this was unacceptable and requested a new room as there were no openings at other hotels during this time. The lady at the front was extremely rude, but put us in another room, the other room was cleaner, but not by much, I had to purchase cleaning supplies to clean the room for our stay. The bathroom sounded as something was constantly dripping in a vent and the toilet would constantly run. Every time I had asked for the manager I was given excuses after excuses. We had no choice but to “tough it out”. Furthermore, I went to do what was supposed to be a quick load of laundry took me four hours, and nothing was even washed, soap was still stuck and soaked, I could barely carry them, so it cost us another $30 and 2 hours of our vacation time to complete them at a laundry mat. Again, I asked to speak to the manager and was lead with another excuse and a bad attitude. The gym equipment was not in working condition or clean. Moreover, if we were to get in later in the evening the entire lobby smelled of marijuana and had to rush my children into our room. We enter our room to a continuous beeping that lasted two nights that has made it impossible to sleep. Unfortunately, we were forced to continue to stay at the hotel as it was booked months in advance and nothing else was available once we arrived. I am saddened that we saved all year to have a wonderful time and this is the way we were treated. We have stayed at several Staybridge suites and have NEVER had one issue. This particular hotel is NOT Staybridge Quality! Very dissatisfied!

We have been staying at this hotel for a number of years. It used to be top notch. There are many good features still such as a great location, large suites, and a full hot breakfast. But the hotel definitely needs some upgrades and a good thorough cleaning. The room needed a good vacuuming. Perhaps the maids need further training. Instead of inserting the comforter inside the duvet cover, the cover was simply laid on top of the bed. The comforter itself had stains on it, so this must have been going on for some time. The hair dryer in one of the bathrooms didn’t work, but the other one did. The bottom rack of the dishwasher needs repair. I had a bad experience checking in here a couple of years ago, but everyone I dealt with this time was very nice. I really hope this hotel gets upgraded soon, so that we can continue staying there.

This place is not typical of a Staybridge Inn at all. It’s not clean and the staff can be extremely unhelpful. The housekeeper will leave your room with fingerprints on the mirrors and faucets, they rarely vacuum and it seemed to just anger them when you ask for service. They offer a sparse breakfast every morning, (no healthy options.) nothing even one second before the start time. They put out some junk snacks three evenings a week. You are monitored and you will be served whatever they think the highlight item is. The kitchen is old and outdated with employees hanging out in there on phones. This stay was not worth the aggravation, definitely not good value for money. They don’t even try to make you feel comfortable.
