Detailed Reviews
Talk about hospitality. Stayed 5 nights while my mom had a medical procedure done. I felt like family and Ronald took excellent care of us. We could not have picked a better place to stay. Layout and courtyard are wonderful, as well as bistro chairs and tables for every room, and community grills! Very clean. Housekeeping spends a lot of time meticulously cleaning every room. I’ve never been impressed by that before, but I have been now! I really can’t say enough. Ronald, thank you to you and your team for really brightening up what could have been an otherwise dreary time. So appreciated and can’t wait to return.

My family and I traveled to Augusta from Maryland in February 2013, surprising my son (who plays basketball for ASU) for his birthday. Prior to our stay, we spoke with Sheryl on a few occasions, where she was ensuring our travel dates and rates. Once we arrived, we could not have asked for better customer service than what we received. Sheryl was very polite, very welcoming and very professional. We booked two rooms and were completely satisfied with them both as they were very clean, very spacious and actually very inviting.
Another thing that I was impressed with...when we were on the road headed back to Maryland, Sheryl called just to see if we enjoyed our stay, not just in the Suites, but in Augusta as well.
I can honestly say, every time that we visit Augusta, Affordable Suites of America will definitely be where we will be staying!

I thought this would be a great place to stay as it was "highly recommended".But the staff made it very uncomfortable. 3 days after check in,the so called manager knocked on the door at 10 at night and kept bugging me for a "Good Review" online! Very unprofessional, Parties on the courtyard, beer cans everywhere, even the "manager" chain smoking in front of the No smoking rooms, I had to walk through a cloud of smoke tto get to my room, whitch was set up nice but unfinished! Trim around the counters left off, window screens with holes in them all this was blamed on the former tennets (but the dust and dirt told me they had been that way a while.)
Very unsecure, the cheapest locks available on ground floor windows. manager even tried to blame screen holes on me. STAY AWAY!

I needed a total of 4 rooms throughout the week of the Masters. Sheryl and the team at affordable suites were more then accommodating for the week. They took care of us and continued to follow up to ensure we didn't need anything else.

Recently I stayed at this property for three days. There were some positives such as room cleanliness, quiet location, newer property and comfortable bed. However the negatives gave it a low rating. $25 fee if you lock yourself out of your room, a great deal of smoking in the interior courtyard (including employees), no elevator, no hairdryer, no coffee, etc. This is really an extended stay motel frequented by construction workers. This is NOT an exceptional property.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review regarding your stay at Affordable Suites Augusta. We take pride in the level of cleanliness of our newest property and all of our guests find our location very convenient, we are happy you were also pleased with these areas. Since we are an extended stay hotel we have not provided hair dyers nor coffee in our suites on a regular basis but have both of these items available at the office. Due to past reviews and suggestions from past guests, We have recently added irons and ironing boards to each suite and are in process of adding hair dryers. We take every review and guest comment seriously and are always looking for ways to improve overall guest satisfaction. Thank you for pointing out the areas you did and we are looking into ways to correct them if we have not already. Sincerely Sheryl Kluge Manager

We found the suite itself was nice and clean. However, we had a few concerns: (1) The comforter on the bed was stained and Sheryl just tried to explain it was the cleaning company who could not get the stain out. Later, she brought another comforter up. (2) My main concern was that our credit card was billed before we arrived. Sheryl said she told us it would be; but she did not. In fact, our conversation became heated because she insisted that she was right. PLUS, standard hotel practice is to hold the reservation with the card and give the customer the option of paying with it or by some other means. (3) The building is enclosed and has two stories. Smokers use the enclosed patio area and the smoke rises. With trees all around, it causes the smoke to hover. There is no circulation and it really has a negative impact on those of us who do not smoke. (4) Customer service was lacking; we found Sheryl to be argumentative and combative particularly when we questioned why she charged our credit card before we even arrived. She later called and said she had spoken with her manager and he told her she could remove the charge and take cash if we still wanted to pay that way. We were very disappointed with Sheryl's attitude toward us. She acted as if we were wrong for questioning her. The last time I checked, the hospitality industry thrives on good customer service; unfortunately, Affordable Suites of Augusta missed the mark.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your stay at Affordable Suites Augusta. We take all reviews seriously and are addressing all your concerns. I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with my customer service, I did not intend to be argumentative in anyway and am sincerely sorry I came across that way. I am committed to outstanding customer service with every guest and have taken all your points to heart. We strive to exceed every guests expectations of cleanliness and guest service, your disappointment has not been taken lightly and has been addressed with all the staff. Affordable Suites payment policies are different that traditional hotels, we charge for the stay on day of arrival. Since you were arriving after normal office hours there was not an opportunity to pay with cash. I am sorry if I was not clear on the policies when you made your reservation. I offer my sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations. Sincerely, Sheryl Kluge General Manager

I was in Augusta for work from August through October, and am so glad I happened upon the Affordable Suites of Augusta. It was so refreshing to have ample room to move about (separate living room / bedroom) at a very affordable price, along with a Kitchen area (4 burner stove with an oven, full size refrigerator, etc.) Anyone traveling to Augusta should definitely check out the Affordable Suites. The Rooms and Property were always Clean and in Pristine Condition. Sheryl and her Staff will welcome you and make you feel like you're at "home away from home"!

I had a better time in the military. I wish there was a way to post a video on these reviews. After 10 if two people wanted to set out side there room and have a drink or smoke or what ever and being quiet the drill Sargent Debbie would come out and tell you that you need to be quiet. I sure hope my boss can find us another place to stay on our next turn around. Other than that the place is great. I will not recommend this to anyone!!!

Mr. Cooley, I apologize if were you feeling like you were in bootcamp, however on the night that I asked you to keep the noise down I had five calls from other guests on the property who were being disturbed by the noise coming from outside of your room. The last call that I received was at 10:45PM. When guests on the property call it is my job to make sure that the complaints are taken care of. Thank you for your comments. D. Rowe Resident Manager
