Basing my review from my experience last night August 7 2023.
This is the best hotel in Augusta from the updated rooms to the breakfast to the location to the service from the staff down to the nitty gritty this place is CLEAN! To be honest for a second I forgot I was in a choice hotel.. its glow up is giving Hilton vibes .. def not your average Comfort Suites 10/10 would and WILL BE staying again!

I made the reservation through Choicehotel. The hotel was 8 minutes from my Dad's home so the location was perfect. The lobby was beautiful, It was clean and spacious.Rachael, who was wearing mask in observance of the CDC and other regulations, greeted me immediately and acknowledged my Choice hotel status. She was very friendly and I'm sure she was smiling though I couldn't tell, mask you know. My room was GREAT! I reserved a king suite. This was a king suite so large that I thought I was in the wrong room. Not only was it large, it was immaculately clean. The king sized bed was very comfortable and made me realize that indeed it was time to get a new mattress at the house lol. The suite was comfortable and spacious, I did not feel closed in. It was great. Due to the regulations there was no breakfast, correction, there was no usual sit down breakfast. They provided bagged breakfast...grab and go. It had muffins, Danish, a breakfast bar and fruit. I was given two bags. I was full from the first bag and so the second bag was lunch.
All the staff I encountered from Rachael at the front desk to housekeeping to food service were friendly and all smiles and appreciative as I appreciate them. I have been a Choice Member for a few years and have stayed at a good number of Choice Hotels. This one has been THE BEST so far and when I come back to Augusta, you will find me staying at the Comfort Suites on Riverwest!

Both rooms I have stayed in here have been very clean along with clean breakfast area. Very professional customer service, good variety of breakfast daily. The occasional dinner is served with a small variety of beers and wine, and can be very helpful instead of having to cook

Husband an I stayed two nights while visiting family. We were greeted by a front desk clerk who was very rude from the start. After checking in and looking at the room, which was fine, we went to check out the pool area. This was the main reason we chose this hotel because the pool area was open for use. The area was unkept and water did not look clean. The next day I went to sit by the pool (never got in water) and every chair and trash was still in the same place so no one had done any maintenance that day. I asked the same front desk woman if I could get fresh towels and service in the room and was told there were two signs on the check in desk (one on left on on right) at check-in stating you had to request a service for room a day prior. I then told her I had checked in in the middle with no sign and was told I could have clean towels when some came out of laundry. Maid on l send someone to check room...never a returned phone call. On the positive breakfast attendant was super nice! Wouldn't stay again.

+1
This hotel has to be the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. I will start with the couch in the room, it was so dirty I had to go and get sheets in the lobby to cover the couch to even sit on it. Second the pool was trashed, hair floating in the water, band-aids on the deck, cups and bottles on the ground along with masks. The bed skirt had a discussing stain on smeared on it and the bathroom was just bad! The shower curtain had mold all over it and the floor was dirty and had hair on the ground. The microwave was dirty and the night stand made me want to throw up in my mouth! When you go to lay on the bed you rolled to the center, So uncomfortable. The only reason we stayed and didn't ask to changed rooms was we would not have been refunded our money and when I checked in I heard the lady at the desk tell a gentleman that they were full and had no available rooms. I now know I will never stay in another Comfort Inn Suites EVER again. I don't care if they are all owed by different people, this experience was the nail in the coffin.

Was in a 1 BR suite with double queen size bed. The hotel was clean and front desk was helpful. The breakfast was okay. The hotel rooms are not for seniors, 55 or over. The beds are low and not comfortable. The toilet sits on the floor (too low) and the tub is a little slippery and not enough handrails. I had my adult daughter who is disabled, and I had called the front desk to ask for extra pillows to support her better in the bed. They were going to check to see if they had extra pillows, but no one never got back with me. Also, people continued to block the entrance location if you are trying to unload luggage and it made it was annoying because I would try to drive under the under path to take my daughter out since she is in a wheelchair. People parking in handicap space and no placard.

I will begin with my only real complaint. I chose this motel based on their advertisement of having “high speed” Internet. According to broadbandnow, com “The official FCC broadband definition is a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload.”
When we arrived I tested bandwidth multiple times and each time was receiving less than 2 Mbps down. I went to the front desk and told them I needed greater bandwidth in order to accomplish my goals. They were very apologetic and promised to correct the problem. They communicated with me through the process and eventually I was able to get up to 8 Mbps.
I appreciate the staff here and all they did to correct the issue. However, they should NOT be advertising “high speed” Internet if they are not able to provide it.
Also, if you are accustomed to hi-def TV (and most of us are) you will be disappointed with the standard definition cable TV offered. To me it was not a big problem. But, buyer - beware!!
With that said our room was nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was tremendous and compassionate. Breakfast was enjoyable.
We will probably never stay here again simply because it is a challenge to work without adequate Internet.

We booked this hotel for a two night stay based on reviews. Upon arrival we were disappointed to find every single window covered with plastic and tape in preparation for exterior painting. This should have been indicated on the hotel website and our travel portal (Capital One) and was not. At a minimum, the rate should have a discount for these conditions. Travelers to this area are well-served by finding other accommodations.
In addition to this, I am quite surprised by the reviews. This hotel is old and shows it’s age. The tv has a poor picture, the brown carpet and drapes are unappealing, and the bathroom is in poor condition.

This was the absolutely worst hotel experience I have ever had. (And I have done quite a bit of traveling).
The one there: 5 nights - We had two rooms
Check in: excellent!
Room: Our room had an extremely strong smell of cleaning product that actually made my husband throw up. We had to ask for them to not use that product because it was too strong. Unfortunately, they must have thought that meant to them that we didn’t want our room cleaned. We had to ask after day 2 of not getting cleaned for them to clean it and they only made the bed but didn’t change the dirty sheets that my granddaughter got dirty. In the 5 nights of being there they only cleaned the room once and only because I had to request it.
We couldn’t use the safe at one point because the battery (?) was dead. They fixed that. We got locked out of our room twice due to a door malfunction (that may be why the room never got cleaned). Nobody could open the door even the janitor. But yet, they told us it was our fault the door didn’t open because our keycard was too close to our cell phone.
The toilet barely flushed (had to flush three times every time we used it.
But the worst part was I had a reservation until May 8th …..I had the email to prove this. But the manager told me on May 7th as I was coming back in that she “assumed” since I had taken my stuff that I would be staying an extra night and charged me full price for an extra day because I was supposed to be out by May 7th. (I had two rooms and she only said it about one of the rooms). I told her my reservation was until May 8th and she was adamant that I was supposed to leave by the 7th. I was on the extreme side of angry. I got out my phone and pulled up my reservation and showed her the dates. I told her she was essentially calling me a liar and she walked away. I had to talk to a different woman (who was kinder). They did nothing about it and couldn’t wait to toss my bill at me as was leaving.
